The good: Pizza- excellent. Came out quickly, hot and fresh tasting. Good topping coverage. Excellent chew on the crust. Exactly what you want. Friendly staff. Unexpectedly decent service. Felt looked after. The drinks were only 1$ for a fountain. Very reasonable! Clean! The entire shop was clean and the staff regularly cleaned tables. The not so good: Salad- 11$ for a "large" salad that was really small and missing ingredients on top was wild. The menu is very difficult to read on the screens above the register. I'm not blind but I have difficulty reading tiny ingredients on the menu. The soda machine was out of nearly everything. Overall I was happy with my experience and will be back. read more

Pizza is pretty good. It has a great crunch. We had been a few times and even met the owner. Who is amazing! Not sure if he still owns this place. But the new workers and environment can use a bit of help. One of the workers did not wash hands after using restroom. Workers forgot about our food. They were also petting a dog, I don't know if they washed their hands afterward. Lots of things grossed me out. Lots of people liked it because it was busier. Personally I won't be back. We had family in town and ordered a bunch of pizzas for everyone to relax and enjoy at the house. We got a pepperoni and cheese, Hawaiian, supreme, and meat lovers. Everyone loved the pizzas! We also ordered some of the garlic knots- we didn't like those quite as much as the pizza as they were a bit under baked and under seasoned. We will definitely order pizzas from here again though! Our first attempt was spot on ....so we assumed our second order would match this epic first experience. Ooooh man...NOPE! Italian sub...three pieces of cold cuts, one piece of cheese, bread. As a NY transplant (not that anyone cares), this place has my approval. I haven't been able to find a good place in Denver that does pizza by the slice, but this place takes the cake. My wife and I came home from work and Like many that have a busy schedule, we did not feel like cooking. I decided to order a pizza. I searched on Yelp for the best pizza places in my area that deliver. There were several and I decided to check out Boardwalk pizzeria. They had several specialty pizzas and you can also create your own. I wanted to create my own and chose the following toppings. Pepperoni Mushroom Jalapeño Pineapple Fresh basil Anchovies (side) All of the toppings were fresh I went with an 18" XL original crust, red sauce and mozzarella cheese, I figured I would go with their standard base ingredients. I placed the call and was greeted kindly. I explained my choices to the gentleman (Tom) and he repeated my request which was nice. Tom then said that it would take approximately 45 minutes to be delivered. It actually took 30 minutes. I tipped the driver and anxiously awaited the reveal. The pizza was not extremely heavy as I would have imagined for being an extra large, However, it was perfectly proportioned. The crust was thin but not too thin and had a great chew to it. We enjoyed the pizza, especially the crust. The total came to $31 which isn't bad for an extra large with the toppings I went with. The 18 inch extra large will easily feed three adults. They also have numerous appetizers, salads, calzones and desserts. I recommend giving them a try, We will definitely order from Boardwalk pizzeria again. read more

Being from NY we knew this was going to be good when we pulled in. No fancy sign and just about everything was made to order. The calzone was fresh and cooked to perfection. It was melted on the inside but not burning your mouth when you bite into it. We had 4 regular slices all cooked to perfection. Perfect amount of grease and easily foldable. I was hungry for pizza, but I didn't want an entire pizza. I saw how close this restaurant was to me and gave them a call to see if they had any lunch specials. First time, rang through to voice mail. Second call, I was put on hold forever, so I just drove over here. The Exterior isn't very promising, but the interior was spacious and decorated in a kid-friendly motif, with games and large booths and tables. There were two lunch specials: 1 slice of pizza and a medium drink for $3.50 or two slices for $6.50. I went big. Maybe I should have asked how big the slices were. They are ENORMOUS! Great pizza with fresh toppings. When you dine in it gives you the old school pizzeria feel. They just celebrated 25 years open and I can vouch for why they have been around that long. They even make extra small pizzas if it is a just one person you need to feed. Highly recommended. read more
