I stopped into Massino's to grab lunch with a coworker. It was about 12:40 and the slice display was looking a bit sparse. There were two cheese slices, two pepperoni slices and one stuffed slice with some miscellaneous meat in it. I don't eat red meat or pork but loved thicker pizzas like Sicilians and stuffed pies, so I asked if they had any other choices. The lady at the counter told me we were too late for the lunch options (at 12:40), so I settled on a chicken and veggie calzone, since I love calzones as well. The calzone was really good, although a bit greasy. I really enjoyed the way they serve it as a crescent with the marinara sauce container in the center. The crust and toppings complimented each other well. I had to bring extra ones home to the wife and kid. I will probably return to Massino's for more lunches and possibly dinners in the future, but I'd rather see the staff still wearing masks since they're handling food, and please, please don't tell me I'm too late for lunch anytime before 1pm, but really 2. Sandwich cold left off cheesecake tipped 30% and when I called to question what happened one excuse after the next. My first time ordering from here. I will never order again a waste of $72. I have been coming back to this place for years, if it's the same family owners then it's been 31 years when my friends and I would grab a calzone during our high school lunch hour. My go to favorites are the create your own calzone or the raviolis, manicotti, or the ziti. I make my own pastas and cheeses and understand that time, using fresh basic ingredients, and never ever sacrificing quality as a true sign of honoring your roots and the family that came before you. I don't do takeout w the exception of Masinos. The prices haven't changed since pre-covid which is crazy because my grocery bill has quadrupled. I never write reviews, however, this restaurant is an amazing hidden gem and they need to know that I am so appreciative to be able to take part in this beautiful families tradition and story! I wanted to try this pizza place out, and I'm never going back! If you want a " sodium " high, this is your place! I ordered a 14" pepperoni and black olives. They barely put any pepperoni and only 10 olives ( yes I counted ) lots of mozzarella cheese with some kind of seasoning, possibly oregano? You never ever put oregano on a NY style pizza. Trying to support my local business we went to our nearby pizza place... So in my opinion one of the worst thing that can happen to you in the food service industry is to have a bug accidentally fall into your food but how you treat the customer will determine your future business. During our experience we had a rather large bug with wings end up upside down on a slice of pizza and brought it to the owners attention. What we thought is that they were replacing the pizza in its entirety, but we found out you get the replacement slice of pizza off the heat lamp self with freshly placed unmelted cheese, unless get upset at the owner then your completely ruined dinner is worth 30% off! Ordered on a Friday night. Probably should have known better than to try a brand new (to me) pizzeria on a Friday night. That said, how slammed can you really be that your pizza shows up cold to the customer's house two-and-a-half hours after they ordered it? I called twice to get an update on my order and the first time they basically said pound sand, "it's a Friday night". After a full two hours had passed, I began pre-heating my oven with the intent of throwing two frozen pizzas in. The second time I called, they were more apologetic and finally came with the pizza. The pizza was slightly cold and not very good, but they did call later and say that they were sorry and gave me a 10% discount. They might be good but for my first time, my judgement was clouded. A hidden gem! We dined in and had an excellent meal. We had the garlic knots, create your own calzone, and cheese manicotti. The manicotti was cooked perfectly al dente. The cheese was well flavored, not just ricotta. Calzone was cooked completely-- thing mushy about it. Garlic knots were huge and delicious! Lightly seasoned, very light and fluffy. We suggest the Deluxe Stromboli. We LOVE their homemade sauce for dipping! Be sure to allow for 1 hour for your order to be fulfilled during busy time's and days. Very nice people but there seems to be a bit of "kitchen chaos". The Deluxe Stromboli is worth the wait! ------ This will be our third take out order. The online Grubhub process works OK, but our first order was incorrect. The calzones had plenty of filling, a bit too much ricotta for our liking. We are returning for Stromboli, REALLY tasty and a nice balance of filling and crust. Massino's is fast becoming our "go-to" pizza joint, even though we have year to try the pizza. read more

Family owned hidden gem. Their pasta is amazing, home made, and much less than the competition. They have a variety of amazing pizzas and stuffed pizzas. Once every ten years or so, you get an experience like this at a restaurant and feel compelled to review. The food, first and foremost is very good. The pizza is excellent. The garlic knots and wings are superb. But what really set this place apart was the service and the feeling we had after we left - other than stuffed of course! We came in for my father and law's bday. Not only did they play the happy birthday song, the whole team came out to sing. Every staff member was polite and attentive, and engaged with us as if we were all family. We were a big group, and with little ones, so we were a needy bunch but the Massino's team kept us smiling and laughing the whole time. Kudos to this team. I wish there were more stars to give. Ordered the wings, pasta alfredo, fries, onion rings, cheese bread, and chocolate cake. The wings were over cooked, rubbery, and drowning in sauce. The alfredo was a white garlic sauce. The fries were soggy (could have been from delivery) and the onion rings were unseasoned batter. The cheese bread was a gigantic oily mound of dough with some cheese. Not sure about the cake, as it wasn't included. Really wanted to love this place, but the spark just isn't there. read more

Nope. We live close and received a coupon in the mail. We thought we'd give it a try during the final four so my husband called in the order and I went to pick it up. There were a few folks sitting and eating and then what looked like a lot of call in orders. The kitchen was very busy. You can see everything - so I could see the people answering the phone, taking money, putting food in bags and no one washed their hands in between. The pizza itself tasted off. Not sure what, but one kid said it was gross. We ordered "cheesy bread" which comes exactly like that - an over cooked loaf of bread with melting cheese. The red sauce to go with it was not appetizing either. Then the kicker came...for $23 we got to fight over the bathroom for the next 24 hours. I can't believe this place! I placed an order at 6pm on a Monday. I waited until about 7:45pm before finally calling and asking what is going on with my order. He tells me that my order will be another 20-50 minutes. I told him I can't believe I'm getting charged for this. The guy puts me on with a manager. We have eaten here a few times and love the food- and but this last time might have ended it for us. It took over an hour and half to get our food. When the kid dropped it off he didnt have my charge receipt for me to sign so I had to find cash to tip him. We got the usual but it was cold and tasteless. The sauce tasted canned and it sincerely lacked toppings for a 15 dollar medium pizza (that seemed like it would be small anywhere else). The crust wasn't just hard- it seemed stale. If I could give negative 10 stars I would. I've ordered from here no less than 7-8 times and often had a problem. Today is no exception. I'm a vegetarian and I ordered a vegetarian pizza. I get all the way home and it has pepperoni (and soaked in pepperoni grease) but more importantly when I was at their store picking up the pizza no one that works there was wearing masks and when I confronted the kind blonde girl that works the cash register as to the fact why no one was wearing masks she just sort of giggled and made no apologies or acknowledgment of my concern. I told her she needed to grow up that it was unprofessional BUT again she made absolutely no apologies and IGNORED MY CONCERNS. I am the customer and I feel they should make an effort to care about my safety if they expect to receive my money and my business. As a leader of a local community organization who has ordered over 5-6 pizzas from them every month, perhaps they can make up for my lack of business via other means. No more chances. This place is very good. However the service is horrible!! I have ordered pick up and it took over 2 hours for them to have it ready. I had to come back twice before it was ready. Also the delivery is not a priority at all and they will wait the longest they can before even caring about making your food or possibly even at all delivering early heaven forbid. First off, my wife and I love supporting local businesses. We like your pizza. However, placing an order at 6 pm for a carry out order and then waiting until almost 7:45 to finally get it without any comp whatsoever ( a free soda, breadstick, something) leaves a sour note. We get that places will get slammed like you did with a 36 pizza order, but to expect other customers like us and many others that had to wait is eventually going to catch up with you. If we hadn't paid already I would have left. Just ordered last night! Always liked City Pizza's calzones so decided to try Massino's. Ordered two meat calzones, a small pepperoni pizza and a kids' spaghetti with meatballs. Loved the crust of the calzones and the pizza-smooth, almost buttery like a hot pretzel texture. Calzones overall great except the ricotta was in one clump, not spread out. Pizza was tasty, last night fresh and cold for breakfast. Daughter enjoyed the spaghetti, too. Also, the sauce that came with the calzones was really tasty and thick with veg.
