After reading about how great the sandwiches are at Bennett's store. We came for the1st time here the other day. Tremendous bread. I had a steak n cheese loaded & my significant other had a tuna sub with L,T& Onion. Great sandwiches. We drove down to the beach & enjoyed our sandwiches.(well we saved the other 1/2 for dinner later that evening. Truth be told my steak n cheese didn't light a candle to a true cheesesteak from Philadelphia,PA I ended up eating one or two bites of it throughout the night & honestly the sandwich tasted better after it was sitting in the fridge for some time. read more

I was pleasantly surprised with this sandwich shop. A quick Yelp search revealed it to be highly rated so I knew I had to get my Sammy on. I ordered for a fairly large group on our way to the beach. A few of the items we tried: 1. Chicken cheesesteak..... surprisingly juicy and delicious. I'm a purist, but the lady taking my order suggested I go with onions, mushrooms and peppers. I took her advice and she knew what she was talking about. 2. The F Bomb..... another kick-ass sandwich that was super juicy and delicious. 3. Chicken tender parmesan.......was skeptical with this one but it was for the kiddies. I thought it was pretty good, but they loved it. 4. Chicken salad hero...... excellent quality chicken used and totally satisfying. 5. Philly cheesesteak.......I have a hard time comparing this to a few of my favorite spots in Philly, but I was impressed at how well they did it. I omitted the peppers and mushrooms on this one and just went with American cheese and onions. 6. Turkey and cheese hero.......tasty and probably the healthiest option out of the bunch. I ordered it "wicked"....which apparently adds some hot pepper relish spread to it. Had a great (not overly) spicy kick and just the right amount of flavor to elevate it to a notch above what I expected. They had quite a few other salads and sandwiches (both breakfast and lunch) on the menu which I'll eventually try upon my return. Sandwiches can be ordered both small and large. May I suggest just getting the large and split with someone who orders a different sammy. Staff was friendly and they're super busy which is always a good sign. There are multiple locations and you can order online if you prefer.....which is kind of nice because there were folks picking up large orders on the way to spending some time on the beach. I would absolutely recommend this spot. I hope they keep up the great work. Although I rated it 4 stars, they definitely deserve another half star. So we'll go 4.5 stars and the only thing that keeps it from 5 stars is in my opinion, it's almost impossible to attain.......but this place is close. read more

This restaurant is definitely visually appealing and aesthetic, but I do not recommend the food at all. I ordered an Italian salad but did not get what the menu specified at all. The menu stated the meats it came with and that it included "mixed greens". When the order came out, the mixed greens turned out to be a plethora of many peppers, onions, pickles, and tomatoes. As someone who does not enjoy these foods raw, I was upset that none of the items were specified that they would be in the salad on the menu. The price was also way too high for a mediocre place to eat. To add to that, the bathrooms were very unkempt and had water all over the floors. Phenomenal!! We were looking to grab a sandwich before heading back home to Buffalo, boy did we pick the right place! I ordered a small turkey and cheese wrap. It was packed with fresh turkey and s yummy oil n vinegar dressing. My husband ordered the chicken cheesesteak sub. It blew me away! Such amazing flavor and the sub roll was soft and fresh! SO GOOD!! Wow, what a spot! We were "lucky" enough to find this spot after having a tough time at another sandwich stop down the road. Upon pulling in to the Bennett parking lot, and because of Covid-19, we had to order online and wait to be called when the order was prepared. We ordered a grilled chicken sandwich and a veggie wrap. To our surprise, we were called 15 minutes early and were able to pick up our sandwiches inside of the store. You can always tell when a place is good by the amount of people who frequent it during the off hours. To me, that is always a decent sign on the popularity and good taste of thier food! Of course, this location was the same way....lots of folks in and out while we waited patiently! Our sandwichs were fantastic....great size, great taste and prepared the way we wanted them. Price was fair and service was great. If we lived near Kennebunk, I have a funny feeling we were frequent this location quite a bit. We did not get any dessert, but after reading a few other reports, I kinda wish that we did. We will definitely be back! 5 stars! read more

Had the reg chicken cheesesteak and my husband had the spicy one- he would like it to be know that this is the best sandwich he's ever had. It was good, but I'm very scared of the bread, it's giving wonder bread, can you please tell me more about this bun? It's concerning me. Why is it so squishy and so white... seems fake. The ingredients are fresh and high-quality, which goes a long way in a sandwich. You can customize and build your own, and there are healthy options too. First off, Bennett's has THE BEST customer service. It's a bunch of kids working but they know what they're doing and are all very well trained. Everyone is incredibly friendly. The group in front of us in line ordered five different sandwiches and the guy at the counter took the order without even writing it down and made them all very quickly. It's great how quick the service is while keeping the quality of sandwiches excellent and consistent. Oh, and the sandwiches are massive. I split a small with my girlfriend every time I have been and that's enough for us for lunch (although I could definitely eat more seeing as they are so delicious). Highly recommend this place! I will definitely make this a regular stop on my trips to Kennebunk. Still need to try one of their hot subs and the bread is to die for. read more

HANDS DOWN the best Lobster Roll I've ever had. I went to Bennett's during 4th of July weekend and the line was out the door. Parking is crazy during peak hours, so be prepared to squeeze your car in the tiny parking lot. Once I walked in, they had the entire menu hanging over the registers. I came to Maine for the lawbstah, so I wasn't leaving without it. Since we were clearly not from the area, the employees were very helpful with the menu options and sandwich toppings. I opened the sandwich wrapper and I was blown away. The sandwich was on an actual hoagie roll stuffed with meat. Coming from Long Island, I'm used to a roll coming on a glorified hot dog bun...not this time. For $17, this sandwich was packed with fresh meat and the perfect amount of mayo. The bread was very soft and really complimented the sandwich. I'm not one to throw around the 5 star rating, but this place deserves it. I'm already looking forward to next year's trip! read more
