we aren't from the area so we asked around and was told this was a great spot to eat at, walking in we loved the calmness and we enjoyed the staff checking in with us only after serving and not consistently throughout our meal giving us time too just enjoy the food and the atmosphere. overall this was a great experience and the food was amazing for a good price too! read more

Damnit, damnit, damnit. Bend Burger has been one of my go-to places during covid and I've been very appreciative that they've been open. I have had dozens of delicious burgers from them over the years. That said, they have obviously thrown in the towel. I saw the owners $100K+ truck in the parking lot while picking up my food at the drive-thru and that still didn't stop anyone from burning the sh*t out of the fries and serving raw bacon on the burgers. If you just don't care anymore, be honest and close your doors. I hate to see you go, but $30 for two burgers and fries is too much for the crap you are putting out lately. First off we love the BBC but it is a tale of two locations. Downtown location I will give a 6 to as they care and do what it takes to care of all customers. The 3rd street location is a 3 due to poor customer service and people continually ignoring the phone orders over and over, we know you know who you are and what you do ... In the last 3 months (June to August) the 3rd street location has been a no answer 5 times for us and we've been put on hold several time without ever hearing back. Things get kind of broken there when it gets busy. We are a good customer and order often for our business and the third street location has a drive through for pick up only which is super convenient when we can actually place an order. If you're going to be dining in either location understand this is not a fast food grab and go restaurant. They construct great burgers and all meals are really good and usually they have a happy staff. On peak days however thing go a little crazy especially on their 3rd street location. Yes, we know you're busy but you need to not ignore customers or you won't have any. We have actually abandoned trying to phone in an order to the 3rd street location after waiting on hold for 10 minutes, either the phone just rings and rings or someone picks up and never returns, that's annoying. We then called downtown where parking can be a challenge but the staff there is EXCELLENT and caring about customers, all of them. If there is a location competition, well downtown is winning big. Yes, we mentioned this to the owners and their aware of the issues. Food: Really good and worth a visit. We order the small burgers as the full order is a monster and too much for one person and too sloppy to split. Fries are great. Wait time: Excessive sometimes but if you're not in a hurry just relax. Both locations look like a burger joint, very clean, and they offer beer so there you go ... Fries are also very good my second favorite behind 5 Guys fries. They have a few local beers on tap too. I've had Bend Burger more times as a takeout than eat-in, and let me just say, it still deserves 5 stars! Most burgers lose their greatness a few minutes after its been on the road, and my takeouts have been indulged after 10 minutes of painstakingly refraining myself from eating and driving as I drive 25-35 mph home. When I get home, the burgers are crunchy, warm, and delicious. The fries are always amazing. For those that love In N Out, this is the closest to In N Out fries that I've been able to find in Central Oregon. The staff: very friendly, fast, and pleasant. Obviously trying hard. Really appreciate the friendly vibe. The burger: great buns, average patty, average topping, absolute failure on the bacon. I specially asked for crispy bacon and got cold, limp, under cooked bacon. Why offer bacon if this is how you are going to serve it? The fries: fresh cut, that's it. We were craving a good burger and happy we stopped in at Bend Burger Company. We tried the Lava Butte burger and Bond St. Mini burger. It wasn't busy so we got our food pretty quick. The buns are amazing. They're soft but don't fall apart. The veggies are fresh and crisp and the meat looked like a homemade patty. The Bend Burger Sauce is tasty, just a tad bit spicy. I used to love bend burger, now how ever the food you get is not worth the value. Their seems to be no management. Nice young folkes but so inexperienced and without guidance. I can deal with the price if it is worth it. The problem 15 bucks for a burger so dry it scratched the roof of my mouth and fries so salty they would increase salinity in the ocean they totally unedible.
