Cute little ice cream shop located inside enclave. Their flavors are unique and I couldn't wait to try them! We ordered their ube and mint, and lychee and cantaloupe. They were all so good! The fruity ice creams tasted just like the fruits and had little pieces in them. Service was awesome! The owner was really nice! Their ice cream is a bit on the pricier side but I still Can't wait to go back and try other flavors on their menu!
Ugh, so pricey but so good. I had this place on my list for a while because I love ice cream, and the Filipino flavors looked divine. I tried their non-dairy ice cream, coffee and toasted coconut, and it was surprisingly sooo creamy. As a lactose-intolerant person, I'm over water-based ice cream or fruity sorbets. I have major fomo seeing other people getting tastier flavors lol. These flavors were so rich and delicious. I would have loved to try their matcha and almond coconut but they were sold out /: $9 for a small scoop iiiiis wild though. Glad I tried it but I don't see myself as a regular here because of the prices and limited non-dairy flavors.
Super cute little spot with surrounding restaurants. I wish there were samples, I feel like that's the fun of ice cream spots. The ice cream was very creamy and not too sweet. The espresso ice cream is very strong in coffee flavor, the toffee in it was so good. I like that you can do up to two flavors in a small size without an upcharge. It wasn't busy when we came on a Sunday night, we received our ice cream in seconds. ig: @cravingswithcat
Finally, a Filipino ice cream shop that is close to my house. Ben scoops is the best place to go for your Filipino ice cream fix they got the various flavors like macapuno, mango, pineapple, jackfruit, and believe they even have durian. They even have halo halo flavor too. Service is quick, place is clean and inviting.
Their new location in the Enclave which is a perfect addition for an after dinner sweet top off. Ben scoops provide ice cream from Mitchell's Ice Cream. I love the variety of flavors especially the Filipino flavors, such as macapuno, langka, durian. They also have hojicha! There are different sizes and also shakes.
Best ice cream I've had in a while. The coffee toffee ice cream with espresso chip bits was so bomb and the mango ice cream is the best mango ice cream I've had in a while it felt so refreshing they only use mango from the Philippines. My boyfriend got the ube and Khalua liquor ice cream! Also super good. The ube had bits of real ube as well and the color of it was natural and delicious like real ube should be
I have been seeing this place pop up on my social media before they moved into the enclave. Needless to say, I had a craving for ice cream and made my way over. There was only one person in front of me and the cashier seemed really young-- like young in the fact that he answered a phone call from his mom before taking my order. I got 2 flavors in a cup. Espresso Toffee Crunch and Toasted Almonds. I really enjoyed the espresso toffee crunch, but there was no crunch! The flavor totally won me over, but I was really missing that crunch factor. The toasted almond was def more mellow. Nothing crazy or extreme. It felt more muted of a flavor. Together, they balanced each other quite well. It's a bit on the pricier side, but it comes with the territory of being a small business for sure. You are paying for the quality here Plenty of free parking in the plaza and it is in such a cute spot with other restaurants to try out.
I love how Yelp is useful for discovering new places. We also meet other foodies who recommend places that they enjoy. Lilah plans and has organized meet-ups to businesses in the South Bay area. The latest venture was in Torrance. We had coffee, lunch and dessert. I was especially impressed with the Filipino-inspired flavors of the Ben Scoops ice cream spot. They serve award-winning ice cream from Mitchell's of San Francisco. That's a super special treat! The good: Yay for more ice cream! I don't get tired of ice cream shops opening. I tried lucuma and pumpkin spice. They have tons of Filipino inspired flavors like young coconut, Ube, durian and halo halo. They have cantaloupe as a summer flavor. Winter flavors include egg nog. They have milkshakes and large containers you can buy and bring home. They sell a few snacks as well that are packaged by the register. The lucuma flavor was excellent and caramel/butterscotch-like. It was so interesting and delicious. It was refreshing to try a fruit flavor I don't normally have. It had complexity to it I enjoyed. The bad: I wanted to try the spumoni flavor but they didn't have it when I came. The interesting: They're inside a food hall. Their ice cream is from Mitchell's (based in SF).
Super excited for this addition to Enclave! Welcome Ben Scoops :) I was here with my family. I'm making an effort to practice Tagalog so I asked my dad "gusto mo ba ng ube ice cream?" I think he was surprised to find an ice cream shop offering Filipino flavors! My sister also likes this place because they serve Mitchell's ice cream from San Francisco. I personally enjoy this place because they offer vegan flavors!!! I had the Coffee and Roasted Coconut in a split scoop and it was masarap!!! I have had Ben's Scoops bookmarked for quite sometime and was finally able to check it at out the Enclave. They offer an exciting assortment of flavors to choose from. As somebody who has a hard time debating between 2 flavors, you choose up to 2 flavors for one scoop, which is perfect! I ended up going with the Espresso Toffee Crunch and the Hojicha, and it was so yummy. The ratio between the smooth ice cream and the crunchiness of the toffee was just right along with the nuttiness of the hojicha. I enjoyed the crunch in every bite. Getting a frozen treat from Ben's Scoops is a great way to end your leave at the Enclave especially after getting coffee or a meal. I'll most definitely be coming back!
A new ice cream shop opened at the enclave! My friend showed me their IG post and it was a float with nook coffee. Seeing that and how I love the nook we joked that we would never leave that plaza with the loop of coffee and ice cream. Great job to the PR team for keeping an interesting content on social media! I now look forward to new flavor drops. the ice cream shop is sharing space with other restaurants. I ordered nook first and went in. They offered 2 flavors for small and medium. 3 for their large. Small was plenty so I ordered pistachio and almond. Both super delicious! I ate the pistachio off the cup and put the almond into the nook coffee. My conclusion, best to be eaten separately. The consistency of the ice cream is too lite that it will melt pretty fast once put into the coffee. I think it's better to eat and then sip to enjoy both to its maximum. Ice cream itself super light. Every ice cream will have chunks of the nut or fruit. Everything is natural and unique flavors to the Philippines and their culture. Staff super welcoming. A pleasant experience!

We have Mitchelll's Ice Cream in the South Bay! You can save yourself a trip to San Francisco! MItchell's Ice Cream is churned in San Francisco. "Ben Scoops" scoops up Mitchell's Ice Cream here in Carson, CA. We are so happy Ben has opened this shop! He's a friendly guy and we've chatted with him on all but two of our visits here. Ben has mostly been the one doing the scooping. I'm so sorry for the long overdue review! I even encouraged my Yelp friends to visit this place back when Ben Scoops opened up after I had been here. Better late than never! This place is in the next plaza over from Back Home In Lahaina & Burratino Pizza. On the last visit, we walked over from the pizza place for dessert here. Parking is plentiful & free in this plaza. I love the Ice Cream that's offered here! My favorites are the Spumoni, Eggnog, & Halo Halo! We have tried lots of the different flavors. Ben gives samples! TIP: Some flavors are seasonal. Others are available year round. *If you like Fruit Cake, try the Spumoni! I love Fruit Cake and this one really reminded me of some of the fruits & nuts in Fruit Cake minus the cake part. [Contains: Madagascar Bourbon Vanilla blend and Chocolate Ice Cream with Rum flavoring, Roasted California Almonds, Raisins, Cherries and other dried fruit] So good! This flavor is available during the Winter season. *As for the Eggnog, it is such a creamy & luxurious ice cream! Our family loves this! Too bad it's only available during the Fall/Winter season! *The Halo Halo is delicious! I love the various fruits in it! [Contains: Coconut, Jackfruit, Ube, Pineapple, Mongo Beans, Sweet Beans and Palm Fruit] Taking into consideration that the ice cream is shipped from San Francisco, it's good that his prices are not super inflated. Sorbets cost .50¢ more than Ice Cream. The ice cream scoop prices are good. They also sell Pints, Quarts, & Half Gallons. You can buy pre-packed tubs or they will hand-pack your flavor for you. These are a priced about $2-$3 more than what you'd pay at Mitchell's in San Francisco. Unlike the length of time it took me to getting around to writing this review, returning for more ice cream will not take as long! We love this place! I love the Filipino inspired flavors here. My mom doesn't even like icecream but she loves this! I've had the sticky monkey (banana), ube, langka (jackfruit), and halo halo - they were divine! Being a fan of Filipino flavored ice cream; I've had Ben Scoops on my list of items to try for awhile now. Ben Scoops in Carson, CA is the only Southern California location that serves Mitchell's Ice Cream from San Francisco!. Mitchell's Ice Cream was the first to introduce mango and other Filipino flavors to the Bay Area back in the 60s. Some of the flavors that were available the day we went were Mango, Toasted Almond, Ube, Macapuno, Pistachio and Halo Halo. I chose to get the Toasted Almond along with Ube on a waffle cone. Single scoops up to 2 flavors is $6.50 and a waffle cone is an extra 75 cents. They also have double scoops ($7.50) and triple scoops ($10.50) available. One can also milkshakes ($8.50), pints ($12.50-$13.50) , quarts ($16.50-$17.50) and 1/2 gallons ($21.50) of ice cream. Ben Scoops ice cream made for the perfect sweet treat. Their ice cream was so creamy and very flavorful. I really enjoyed both the Toasted Almond and Ube ice cream. They also give a lot for the scoops and so it was definitely one fulfilling treat as well. One side to note here is that they do charge extra for credit cards; so make sure to bring cash if you don't want to incur an extra fee. I will definitely be back with some cash and am excited to try more of their ice cream flavors. I've got my eye on the popular mango! read more

Dinner across the street at Back Home at Lahaina, led to a Yelp search for something sweet, only to find Ben Scoops right across the street (Northwest corner of Carson St and Grace, NW corner of the shopping center, a bit hidden, but worth the find). Great ice cream, Mitchell's San Francisco (I had Ube + Makapuno), then after a sample of pumpkin, bought a pint to go. Owner spent time talking about his story, his love for Mitchell's Ice Cream and how and why he opened this shop. On top of single servings, they sell pints and gallons, with a focus on tropical flavors like Ube, Coconut, Mango, Jackfruit, and of course other traditional flavors. Really fine ice cream and a great owner, the kind of place you want to give your business. Will definitely be back for a treat and for a special addition to holiday parties upcoming. read more

a hidden gem i never knew about until a few days ago... WHERE WERE YOU WHEN I NEEDED DESSERT? they carry unique ice cream flavors that i've never had before and they did not miss. service was great, the worker was kind and attentive to give me samples of his favorite flavors. the shop itself is cute and very clean and the price? it was good for what you were getting. i got a single scoop but it was 4 scoops which surprised me. i had the halo halo with pistachio and both were simply amazing. overall, i was very happy with this place. will definitely be coming back to try more flavors! read more

Dessert time in Carson, California... After dinner, my friend, Craig Y., suggested that we have dessert across the street at Ben Scoops. I kind of didn't want to go because I'm lactose intolerant, but... I scrolled through reviews on Yelp and saw that Craig had gotten Review Of The Day (ROTD) here in May 2023. Okay... We must go and celebrate Craig's ROTD!!! We found free parking in the shared parking lot. Craig was taking photos outside, so I followed him. Ha! It's such a cute place! Outside, Craig pointed out that the yellow and purple chairs are Lakers' colors... yes! Inside, the wall mural is very Instagramable! The shop is bright and clean! We sat inside on stools that were placed along a ledge. Service was very welcoming and friendly! The pleasant man offered samples and told us which ice creams were new and which ones were dairy free. He gave me samples of the Mango and Raspberry sorbets. They had intense, true fruit flavor. However, the halohalo option caught my eye. I decided to take the risk and consume a few Lactaid pills with the generous serving and savored every bite! Wow! It was so rich and creamy! I enjoyed the small bits of halohalo ingredients that were mixed in with the ice cream! I think I should return and try more flavors! read more

Found this place on a whim after a night of sushi and really loved it. This place was such a good find for us. While on the way to Del Amo mall we decided to stop here during traffic. The guy behind the counter was so nice and allowed up to sample as much as we liked. He made great recommendations and told us which ones were most popular. We ended up getting the ube and espresso flavor which were both delicious. They had the right amount of sweetness and the consistency was perfect. Each scoop was really two so the portion size was good. It was also really affordable. Besides what we got, I also enjoyed the halo halo flavor, which we were told was one of the popular ones. Another popular flavor was their mango. I liked that Ben Scoops had flavors that no where else had. For instance they had avocado and jackfruit. There were few places to sit inside but there was seating outside as well. It's a little hidden in the plaza in the corner. Parking was easy since it was in a strip mall. read more

Oh. My. Gosh. Hands down some of the best ice cream ever. The flavors are unlike anything you've ever had. Never in a million years did I think I'd like avocado ice cream but holy cow it was so delicious. I dream about the coconut ice cream!!!! The place was so cute and the owner is so kind and genuine.
