Finally, a Filipino ice cream shop that is close to my house. Ben scoops is the best place to go for your Filipino ice cream fix they got the various flavors like macapuno, mango, pineapple, jackfruit, and believe they even have durian. They even have halo halo flavor too. Service is quick, place is clean and inviting.

Their new location in the Enclave which is a perfect addition for an after dinner sweet top off. Ben scoops provide ice cream from Mitchell's Ice Cream. I love the variety of flavors especially the Filipino flavors, such as macapuno, langka, durian. They also have hojicha! There are different sizes and also shakes.

Best ice cream I've had in a while. The coffee toffee ice cream with espresso chip bits was so bomb and the mango ice cream is the best mango ice cream I've had in a while it felt so refreshing they only use mango from the Philippines. My boyfriend got the ube and Khalua liquor ice cream! Also super good. The ube had bits of real ube as well and the color of it was natural and delicious like real ube should be

I have been seeing this place pop up on my social media before they moved into the enclave. Needless to say, I had a craving for ice cream and made my way over. There was only one person in front of me and the cashier seemed really young-- like young in the fact that he answered a phone call from his mom before taking my order. I got 2 flavors in a cup. Espresso Toffee Crunch and Toasted Almonds. I really enjoyed the espresso toffee crunch, but there was no crunch! The flavor totally won me over, but I was really missing that crunch factor. The toasted almond was def more mellow. Nothing crazy or extreme. It felt more muted of a flavor. Together, they balanced each other quite well. It's a bit on the pricier side, but it comes with the territory of being a small business for sure. You are paying for the quality here Plenty of free parking in the plaza and it is in such a cute spot with other restaurants to try out.

''Twas a cold winter night. Ice cream? Didn't seem right. Hot chocolate? Yes! Delicious. Impressed. Rich, warm, and thick. Made with almond milk. Young server was kind. Asian state of mind . . .

I love how Yelp is useful for discovering new places. We also meet other foodies who recommend places that they enjoy. Lilah plans and has organized meet-ups to businesses in the South Bay area. The latest venture was in Torrance. We had coffee, lunch and dessert. I was especially impressed with the Filipino-inspired flavors of the Ben Scoops ice cream spot. They serve award-winning ice cream from Mitchell's of San Francisco. That's a super special treat! Menu Highlights (alpha order): - Cantaloupe - Espresso Toffee Crunch - Halo Halo - Oreo - Philippine Mango - Roasted Coconut (Vegan) - Sticky Monkey - Ube You can also place an order for delivery to your door! So easy and simple! Choose single, double or triple scoops by the cup, cone, waffle bowls, or milkshakes. Save room for dessert, you'll be glad you did!! Sincerely, Rosemary

The good: Yay for more ice cream! I don't get tired of ice cream shops opening. I tried lucuma and pumpkin spice. They have tons of Filipino inspired flavors like young coconut, Ube, durian and halo halo. They have cantaloupe as a summer flavor. Winter flavors include egg nog. They have milkshakes and large containers you can buy and bring home. They sell a few snacks as well that are packaged by the register. The lucuma flavor was excellent and caramel/butterscotch-like. It was so interesting and delicious. It was refreshing to try a fruit flavor I don't normally have. It had complexity to it I enjoyed. The bad: I wanted to try the spumoni flavor but they didn't have it when I came. The interesting: They're inside a food hall. Their ice cream is from Mitchell's (based in SF).

    Espresso Toffee Crunch with Hojicha

I have had Ben's Scoops bookmarked for quite sometime and was finally able to check it at out the Enclave. They offer an exciting assortment of flavors to choose from. As somebody who has a hard time debating between 2 flavors, you choose up to 2 flavors for one scoop, which is perfect! I ended up going with the Espresso Toffee Crunch and the Hojicha, and it was so yummy. The ratio between the smooth ice cream and the crunchiness of the toffee was just right along with the nuttiness of the hojicha. I enjoyed the crunch in every bite. Getting a frozen treat from Ben's Scoops is a great way to end your leave at the Enclave especially after getting coffee or a meal. I'll most definitely be coming back!

Super excited for this addition to Enclave! Welcome Ben Scoops :) I was here with my family. I'm making an effort to practice Tagalog so I asked my dad "gusto mo ba ng ube ice cream?" I think he was surprised to find an ice cream shop offering Filipino flavors! My sister also likes this place because they serve Mitchell's ice cream from San Francisco. I personally enjoy this place because they offer vegan flavors!!! I had the Coffee and Roasted Coconut in a split scoop and it was masarap!!! The team also offered a vegan granola topping which I opted not to get but good to know they have it. http://bit.ly/3KUPwSQ The owner and staff here are so friendly. I'm looking forward to working my way through all their vegan flavors. I'm really hoping they will eventually offer vegan ube. I would be maraming masaya :) Sorry if my use of Tagalog is incorrect. I'm still learning.

A new ice cream shop opened at the enclave! My friend showed me their IG post and it was a float with nook coffee. Seeing that and how I love the nook we joked that we would never leave that plaza with the loop of coffee and ice cream. Great job to the PR team for keeping an interesting content on social media! I now look forward to new flavor drops. the ice cream shop is sharing space with other restaurants. I ordered nook first and went in. They offered 2 flavors for small and medium. 3 for their large. Small was plenty so I ordered pistachio and almond. Both super delicious! I ate the pistachio off the cup and put the almond into the nook coffee. My conclusion, best to be eaten separately. The consistency of the ice cream is too lite that it will melt pretty fast once put into the coffee. I think it's better to eat and then sip to enjoy both to its maximum. Ice cream itself super light. Every ice cream will have chunks of the nut or fruit. Everything is natural and unique flavors to the Philippines and their culture. Staff super welcoming. A pleasant experience!

Located inside the food hall of The Enclave

It's good ice cream, but 5 star good? Hmm let's see... I was in the Torrance area to get dinner nearby, but the restaurant I was planning to go to doesn't open until 6 PM. It was 5 PM, so I had about an hour to kill, or should I say, chill? lol I chose to stop at The Enclave, a food court that recently opened in the Harbor Gateway part of Torrance. I certainly wasn't looking for a meal since I was planning to eat one in an hour, so this was one of the few options for me. Ben Scoops is located inside the food hall of The Enclave where you can order from one of several eateries, and they all share a common dining area. Ben Scoops is one such eatery at this food hall; they are located by the restrooms, conveniently enough. As I was walking around the food hall, their cashier (Ben himself?) was friendly enough to give me a simple hello while I was looking around, trying to decide what to get. I made my way back around to Ben Scoops, where a couple of customers stood in line. Ice cream seemed like the answer for me, but there was one problem. "Where's the menu?!" I kept looking around for one, but couldn't find one. I bit the bullet anyways, not knowing when my next visit to The Enclave would be, and stood behind the two customers deciding on what flavors to get. They took their time ordering, but it didn't bother me a whole lot since it gave me ample time to look over the ~10 flavors in their ice cream chest. Some of the flavors looked pretty exotic, but I didn't want to get too fancy if you know what I mean. The Sticky Monkey looked like something I'd try on another day, but I decided against it. When it was my turn to order, I immediately asked how much the ice cream was. They showed me the sizes, which didn't answer my question! I suppose they misconstrued my question as "how much ice cream do you get?" as opposed to "how much did the ice cream cost?" I really didn't want to order a cup of ice cream and then get charged $15 for it. I sincerely hope they add a menu in the near future because other customers shouldn't have to play "Guess the prices!" and get colored surprised at how much they'd have to pay. Another thing that got annoying was that the descriptions and flavors were on the sliding doors of the ice cream chest; when one of the doors opens, it interferes with your ability to read the descriptions, so that can hamper your decision making ability, especially if you're one to experience analysis paralysis like me from time to time. Anyways, after clarifying my question, I was told two flavors would cost half of $15. But what if we wanted three flavors? Or more? Was that the only option for us customers? If they had a menu, I wouldn't have had these kinds of questions. I was okay paying $7.50 for a small treat even though I don't think the size of the scoops was commensurate with the high price tag. I kept things simple and settled for the nutty flavors of Pistachio and Toasted Almond. I know some people don't like nuts in their ice cream, but I don't mind. There was another employee next to the cashier who was scooping the ice cream from the chest, and then the cashier rung me up for my order. At the time I went, the air ducts on the ceiling had accumulated so much condensation that water was dripping from the ceiling! A couple of drops struck me, which took me by surprise. The cashier responded with something about Manila, the capital of Philippines. Copypasta? Not sure, but it seemed uncalled for. After paying for my ice cream, I took the cup to a nearby couch to enjoy my sweet treat. The size of the cup is quite small. Like palm of my hand small, so you can only imagine how much ice cream I actually got. Luckily, the ice cream tasted really good. Much better than Baskin Robbins for sure! It really hit the spot after a long day of running around, being out and about. But is it really worth $7.50? Maybe to some, but for me, I thought the cup should be more like what you'd get at Baskin Robbins. Service, while friendly enough to earn a visit from yours truly, wasn't nearly friendly enough to justify the high cost of their ice cream. They do have a second ice cream chest by the rear wall, but it's just 1.5 quart tubs of Mitchell's Ice Cream; it's the same size as Dreyer's Ice Cream that you'd see in a traditional supermarket. I shudder to think how much one tub would cost if two (relatively small) scoops cost $7.50! Also, I'm not sure why, but I felt there were more almonds in the Toasted Almond flavor than there were pistachios in the Pistachio flavor. Felt kind of odd to me, but I'm not factoring that into my rating. Overall, it's a nice spot to get a sweet treat, but the high price point, relatively indifferent service, and the lack of a menu makes this rating nowhere near the average rating of 4.9. I'd still be willing to try their other flavors, especially that Sticky Monkey, but it may be a loooooooong time before that can happen.

Ben Scoops has moved!! To the enclave, NEW location, still GREAT TASTING ICE CREAM FLAVORS! They are located inside next to faka island. Service is always excellent! From the cashiers to the scoopers. They make you feel welcomed and are very informative about the flavors. I tried the pumpkin and matcha and it was REALLLLY gooood!! I'm coming back to try more flavors! Ambiance- very lively and plenty of seating!

Weekend pop-ups at the Enclave in Torrance and they have future plans to relocate here on the other days if I am not mistaken. Was here on 2 weekends in row. Benjamin himself took our orders, scooped them in our cups and his employee was our cashier. He is super nice, remembered me from the previous week and also is familiar w/ the yelp friends I was there with. Awesome, creamy and delicious flavors. We were all on-board for the coconut matcha ice cream. So good! Also the banana ice cream with peanut butter and chocolate chips is also a winner. I believe it's called the sticky monkey. I had mentioned in my review from 2024 that their ice cream is Mitchell's from San Francisco. Fun fact is that an in-law of mine is related to the Mitchell's in SF. I like them in this bustling location opposed to the one on Carson Street which seems kinda hidden. Love the service and the ice cream here. Easy 5 stars.

The black sesame bingsoo was my favorite - the ice was super fine and snow-like, light and easy to enjoy. It leaned a bit sweeter than other bingsoo spots I've tried, but was still very good. The second bingsoo was a more classic snow bowl with red bean and mochi on top, simple but enjoyable. The space felt clean and traditional, with good service. Overall, a great place to get bingsoo in Torrance.

Decor: cute decor with books on the side and a few tables inside. Service: efficient and speedy. Menu/food: I really like their bingsoo a lot, but what I really love is their boong-uh-ppang (taiyaki). I also love their red bean, which is not too sweet but rich and flavorful. They advertise that the red bean is imported from Korea, and it really is better than most other places. When the taiyaki comes out piping hot with crispy exterior and chewy inside with red bean, it's sooo good. I like their custard filling too. Probably best taiyaki I've had anywhere in southern Cal. I had stopped coming here for a while and when we came back, we noticed that the menu expanded a bit, and now they have some fruit based bingsoo. Recommend trying once. Their rice cakes are good too, very chewy and fresh.
