I've never waited so long to just have my sns removed. Got here at 11:40am and had one client who showed up to her appt at 11:45am for her 12pm appt,and the employees started on her right away. Every staff member came in contact with was soooo nice! Nhu did my pedicure and was so gentle and very quick. Lisa was so sweet as well, she did my moms pedicure and manicure perfectly and they seemed to really enjoy talking together. Lily did my SNS nails and was one of the best techs I've had, she was so meticulous with the shaping and filing of my nails which I loved. The customer service is awesome, it's a nice place but I got a full set of pink & white acrylics. The tech was really insistent on me getting dip but I've always done acrylics. They turned out horrible, very bumpy too short on some nails & long on others they took 1.5hr to do. I rushed out because I was already late for work. $55 later will not go & do acrylics there every again may try a dip. Maybe acrylics are just not their thing, they're getting lazy and just wanting to do dips. read more

A person sitting at one of the nail stations barley glanced up and said hi. That was the only contact I received. I stood in the doorway for 15 minutes (a full 25 minutes after my initial phone call) waiting to be acknowledged or asked what I was there for. After 15 minutes of no acknowledgment, I left. I understand being busy...that's why I called before I drove there, to make sure they could handle a walk-in. But to not even acknowledge that I was standing there, even if it was to let me know I would need to wait for a bit, is just rude and poor customer service. read more

I get the impression that they don't seem to care about you our business as it does get a lot of traffic. I paid good money for below-average work. I won't be coming back. My shellac manicure started chipping less than a week after coming here. I left the salon with nail polish all over my toes and unevenly filed nails. Several of the technicians who assisted both myself and my friend who came with me had a negative attitude about helping us and seemed exasperated when I asked for basic things, like making my spa water warmer, or letting me use my massage chair. This salon was a disappointment. It's so close by where I live that I was hoping it would be good, but I won't be returning. Instead, I'll be driving 40 minutes out to the UT campus to get my nails done at Enjoy Nails and Spa on Guadalupe and 38th. Best and longest lasting shellac manicures I've ever had. read more

Acted put out when I explained that I'm allergic to latex! Massage felt like a two year old performed it, and was done in 5 minutes. I paid for a longer massage, as I have a lot of foot pain. She asked if I'd like to pay while still im chair. She left with my card, came back 30 minutes later to FINALLY apply top coat. Took 15 minutes doing something else before putting the second coat of topcoat!! Three hours, and 150$ later we were finally done. Both mine and my daughter's polish job was nice looking initially, but chipping and coming off 3 days later. I've never had such bad service and such a poor quality pedicure. Worst experience I have ever had with a nail salon. My daughter spends about $125 a month here and I have gone to a better salon not too far. I took my daughter for a special occasion and we got the works, our bill was over $230.00. my SNS dip cracked all over after 2 days. I went in and they repaired them. 4 days later multiple nails had cracked and chipped, this has never happened at my other salon. I went it to request they just come off. So they took them off then charged me to do it. Horrible service and product they used on me. It was more important for them to get a $10.00 removal fee (had them on 8 days) and lose 2 customers. Actually 4 customers because my friend and her daughter canceled their appts and are going to my normal salon. Not to mention it's quite noticeable how unhappy everyone is that works there. The owner is a coward and wouldn't even look at me while making the girl charge me. Lily and Vivienne have been great to my daughter but she won't be back. Dropped my 81 year old mom off for a basic pedicure. I have not been here, just not my thing. Anyway, she asked for a basic pedicure. To be fair, I don't know the going rate in Austin, but in Orange County, CA she pays about $20+tip, here they start at $40! Are you kidding? She felt too awkward to just leave based on that, so she stayed anyway. The service was terrible. She couldn't understand the technician at all, but all she did was keep trying to upsell services, again, my mom didn't know what she was saying, or what the services were. She only wanted her toes cleaned up and painted! After her nails were painted, she was told to go to the dryers. Remember, this was her first time here, she gave them a confused look, and they pointed toward the door. At her salon, they have dryers at each station. She didn't see any dryers at the front. The tech rudely pointed again, they finally came towards her and directed her to sit at the planter table, which is also a dryer, but mom didn't know that! About that time, I came to pick her up. She asked if there was any air blowing down at her feet. I checked, there was a very light air blowing but I could barely feel it. This place is so CLEAN! The nail technicians are very nice as well. My mom and I got a pedicure. The Golden Special. We were so sore from our step class yesterday we could hardly walk. The message they did helped break up our leg muscle soreness. I can walk again! Also they used the lavender scrub and they did a foot mask and message. It was not rushed at all and they did a beautiful job with the nail paint as well. I definitely recommend this place. It was a nice relaxing afternoon need! The first time I went here was great! The second time was extremely frustrating!! They took my mother and I to the pedicure chairs. They started the pedicure. Jessica was doing my mother's feet. My Mother had cellulitis on the lower part of her legs. She told them the doctor just released her to get a pedicure ankle down. Jessica proceeded to tell her that her feet are terrible and she needs to come more often. She kept saying it and finally I had enough!! I told her that if she does not want to do her feet then get someone that knows what they are doing. She got very upset. She said she could do it. Then she argued about removing her ingrown toe nail. She did it but clearly was not happy about it. Vila did my mother's nails. My mother asked for a full set because they said she needed one instead of a fill. She agreed to the full set and they did a fill. I did not know this until we left. Now we will go to my services. Lele did SNS for my nails and it was great!! Lee did my pedicure. The pedicure part was good except removing an ingrown toenail. She was very rough and it hurt a lot. Then she began to paint my toenails and I questioned the color. It was a peachy color when it was supposed to be a rose color. She told me that sometimes the color is not perfect. I said I understand that but this is a huge difference. She kept painting them. She said when Lele is finished I will see that they are close. I looked at Lele and you could tell she disagreed. Lele went and found the right color. I told her I want it changed. Lee was visibly upset and kept talking angrily in Vietnamese as she changed the polish. I can't tell you you how upset and disappointed my mother and I and we're. Usually you walk away with relaxation. Not here. They turned it into a very stressful visit. To top it off they were not even busy at that time. Needless to say we will not go back!!! I made an appointment on Friday with Eric for Monday. I chose him because he came highly recommended. I arrived 10 minutes early, but Eric was no where to be found. One of the ladies located him. He said that he would be 20 minutes late. I ask if there was another tech available. I was fortunate to meet Tammy. I received a their high end pedicure ($55) and a gel manicure ($35). She takes a lot of pride in her work which I appreciate. I was very pleased with the service. I gave Tammy a 20% tip which she deserved. The nail salon is very clean. It's lovely with a very ornate style. They follow state laws to the letter. The staff is friendly. The main drawback was trying to reschedule. There is a language barrier. I don't really know if I am rescheduled or not. I was given a card with the date and time, but I never saw the appointment written in the book. I ask another lady that is a tech/receptionist if she could check. She said no problem, just call. I have a lot of experience with language barriers and that normally doesn't matter to me, but this seemed extreme. The two reasons that I didn't give five stars is because the first nail tech was going to be so late and the difficulty in trying to rebook. If Tammy is available, definitely try her services. UPDATE! I actually had my second visit to Belterra Nails. I called in for availability today. They were able to accommodate me for a mani/pedi. I was clueless as to who would be doing the service. This is way out of my comfort zone, but since apparently advanced appointments are not done, I was willing to try. When I arrived, I had to sign in. I told the young man who greeted me that I had a 3.30 appointment. He said if it was with someone specific. . I said no, so he then pointed to some colors and ask me to pick one. Within 5 minutes, my favorite nail professional, Tammy came and seated me. I was so happy! Her calm demeanor and professionalism makes the visit so pleasant. She's very thorough and gives a great massage on the legs as well as the hands. It's been my experience that most manicurist don't give very good hand massages. When she's done with your hands then she proceeds to give a quick and nice neck and shoulder massage! It's like a little bit of heaven. I learned today that the best way to get your professional and time is to call in on the day of and make a request. The staff is nice and friendly. I love it when I can get the same outstanding service two times in a row, therefore I am changing my 4 star review to 5 star. When you go to Belterra, ask for Tammy. She's there every day except Tuesday. You won't regret it! read more
