The texture of the food was great. I ordered the lamb shank, which was tender, and the risotto paired well with it. However, the service was disappointing. Our waiter was inattentive, and we had to get up multiple times to find water for ourselves.

This mom pop needs to open one down south y'all! Made reservations and everything was superb! You get the mom/pop feel and the homemade fat noodles were the star! Great local known singer on the mic doing all your favorite Sinatra songs. Cocktails on point! Great service and this will definitely be a must stop when in the area. You won't be disappointed.

Came for parents anniversary and first time going. Didn't think it would be busy but for a Tuesday it was lively. Service from Charlie and the manager was excellent. We had picky parents and substituted a lot and requested many sides such as butter salt pepper etc and we got it with a smile. Food wasn't rushed and definitely get a wine as it was spectacular. Food was fresh too as flour and pasta is made there so less carby and healthier. Good portions and bill was much less than expected. We will be back for more.

Based on two separate dining experiences: a Friday night and Saturday night Live music on Friday, it's quite loud (jazz/blues) so take into consideration if you're trying to have conversations. Otherwise this place seems to be always full, and reservations highly recommended if you want a booth table. Service: A+. Bread basket always comes out quick. Server checks in a couple times, not intrusive. Parmesan grated at table side. People seem to be happy working here. The second time it might've been the owner who gave us proofed dough for the kiddo to play with. Very fun sensory experience for them, the table behind us got the same thing too, in addition to kids menu coloring sheet. Food wise, never disappointing. Didn't feel over greasy, great portions. The garlic spinach was really fresh and they did not shy from the garlic either. Breaded pork cutlet was juicy and perfect. Tiramisu was flavorful, with a right hint of liqueur. Pasta is wonderful. One day we'll try the pizza.

My friends live near this place and recommended it for dinner one night. It's a smaller Italian restaurant that makes FRESH pasta! And it's delicious! Our server Charlie was fantastic!!! Our food was fantastic and loved all the recommendations! I can't wait to come back and try something new. Everything was so good. I wish I took more pics of everyone's dishes but we ate everything so quick!

What a wonderful find! This reminds me of Reales when Bobby Reale and his wife were running the show. I joined a bud for lunch and the lunch specials were excellent. I had the spicy penned chicken pasta. It was presented el dente' and had a sufficient amount of chicken. These are large portions. My dining companion ordered the pizza paninni we could have split this. He took half home. We did start with the fried calamari. The squid were lightly breaded and fried perfectly - not rubbery. Our server Sean was more than attentive and was able to provide excellent customer service. There is live music on Tuesday and Friday evenings. It's the same Frank Sinatra themed guy who plays(ed) at Reales. On Wednesday evening there is a Jazz guitar musician. They do have a full bar and some interesting wine offerings. Bellissima is delizioso!!

Sometimes in life things just do not go according to plan. My hubby and I decided to have a nice dinner this evening because I will be traveling this week. About 30 minutes before we were going to head towards the restaurant, I received this message, "Good evening, This is the host team at XXX reaching out to inform you that due to a power outage we will not be opening for business this evening." No problem...life happens. Next, we tried to grab some comfort food because at this juncture, we needed comforting. As we walked into the restaurant, a customer told us that restaurant had already closed. Yikes! The restaurant owner was kind to recommend Bellissima. Great choice! Nicole, our server, brought out piping hot fresh bread with olive oil and balsamic vingegar....so delicious. Then we ordered the lamb shoulder (me) and the salmon pasta (hubby). Dinner back on track...right...wrong! Nicole came back to inform us that they had sold out of the lamb shoulder. I decided to get the salmon dish my hubby ordered. As it turns out, this was some of the best pasta we have eaten in a long time....very pleased with our dishes. The salmon tasted like it came off a wood-fired grill steaming hot (lightly crispy on the outside and super juicy on the inside). The penne pasta was cooked at the right level. The pesto and creme made the pasta very enjoyable to eat. We ended the evening with a piece of Italian creme cake, which tasted like a cross between carrot and Italian cream cake. Bellissima...very beautiful experience.

I had the truffle pasta from here, and it was the best pasta I've ever had!! First time having fresh truffle in pasta, and it was a game changer. Prices are reasonable too and food is delicious!! All pasta is made in house which makes all the difference

Stopped in with the fam on a Friday night. The place was hopping even at 5pm, but we were seated immediately nonetheless. A sweet older gentleman was crooning Sinatra tunes. All very charming. What's most notable here is the fresh pasta. You don't see that much anymore. You can really tell the difference. It comes with an extra cost, but for an every once and while treat, it's worth it. The fresh bread and pizza crusts are also done right. We enjoyed the Cacio e Pepe, pasta carbonara, chicken Marsala, fettuccine Alfredo, and kids pepperoni pizza. Our waiter was kind and helpful, taking good care of us. It's a popular spot for a reason. If you're in the mood for a special take on Italian-American classics, come check it out.

This was so good, I'm not really a pizza person and honestly only came because of the great reviews. Well, I was wrong, this is the best pizza I've ever had I'm usually keto, so I normally don't eat the crust edge. But this time, I actually ate the crust first before getting to the toppings. It's thin, crunchy, and has such a great texture and flavor. I finished the slice right away and forgot to take a picture. I also ordered the Garlic Knots. They come four to an order, but I wasn't sure I wanted that many. Kat told me I could order just one, which was really nice. Unfortunately, this one wasn't my favorite, a little too doughy for me. And then there was the Tiramisu. Wow! It's so good, not overly sweet like other tiramisu and the texture is light, fluffy, and smooth. They were busy during my visit, but the service was still great. Kat was friendly and made my first visit a really enjoyable one. Definitely coming back if I visit Austin again

So after all eventful volleyball game at the Moody, my handsome guy and I treked over to Home Slice. The parking situation was madness, but we somehow lucked out and snagged a good one. And although, it seemed like it might be crazy inside, we were seated immediately. Maddie was our server and she was incredible. She was helpful, took our order, took our supplemental order, brought us a second side of ranch when a fly decided to nose dive into ours, and checked on us just enough. The salad was spectacular, as usual. There's just never enough. Solution: order two. The garlic knots were a little low on garlic, but tasty nonetheless. Combined with the marinara sauce, just delicious! I got a slice of the white pie with spinach which is olive oil, ricotta, mozzarella, garlic, and spinach. The crust was crunchy in all the right places and the toppings were tasty. I'm hungry just thinking about it again. This Austin staple is always a win for me.

When I pulled up, the parking lot was packed, and while I was able to get a spot that just opened up, lots of people seemed to be walking up from street spots. There are indoor and outdoor dining options, but given the heat, I opted to get on the brief waitlist for indoor seating and enjoy interior! The hostesses have a fast system and take your phone number, so the line moves pretty quickly. From what I could tell, HSP is a favorite among families, date night goers, college boys, girls night, you name it! I ordered a slice of pizza and garlic knots, admittedly, I wasn't starving. But if I get the chance to come back, I saw other tables get wings, cold subs, and calzones that also looked great! Home Slice Pizza is a neighborhood knockout!

I got the pizza lunch special which included a side salad, personal pizza and's drink all for $17.95! Talk about a deal! Cesar side salad was simple and's could have used a bit more cheese....and the pizza was good. Only downside was the pepperoni left a lot of grease which made the crust a bit soft. The restaurant is open, good seating, the display of pizza in the case is very appealing and appetizing. Its decor is well done. The pizza has fresh ingredients and tastes great. Crust is perfect. The lasagna was good but I would rather stick with the pizza. Just my taste. I did have the cannolis and compliments to them- they were authentic. Creamy, crispy shell, and the pistachio and chocolate chips were very good. My favorite. I suppose my only complaint was the pizza and lasagna were a little cool. It should have been a little warmer. The other issue which I hope they take note and move right away is the trash for plates and silverware. It is directly next to the fresh silverware and takeout boxes. That caught my attention and it's not a good place for the trash. Definitely plan to come back, it is worth coming and trying all the food items they have. Next time I might try one of the hot sandwiches and maybe some gelato but definitely the cannoli. That is the make or break for this NY Italian. Thanks for coming to the Domain. As an unapologetic East Coast pizza snob, I usually approach Texas pizza with a massive amount of…read moreskepticism. I've spent my life chasing the perfect crust, comparing everything from the legendary pie shops in Manhattan to the pristine corner slices in Pittsburgh. I didn't think Austin could pull off truly authentic pizza. I was dead wrong. Baldinucci is absolute sorcery. The moment I took a bite of their Roman-style pizza, I was instantly thrown back to the tiny, narrow pizzerias I stumbled into in Italy. It has that exact, hyper-specific airy crunch that is so incredibly hard to replicate outside of Europe. The dough is clearly fermented with patience. It's light, shatteringly crisp on the bottom, and has those beautiful, irregular air pockets that give it a pillowy structure without ever feeling heavy. Let's talk about the sauce, because that's where most places fail. It isn't that sugary, paste-heavy stuff you find at standard joints. It is vibrant, bright, and tastes intensely of sun-ripened tomatoes and clean olive oil. It is remarkably fresco; striking that perfect balance where the acidity cuts through the richness of the cheese without overwhelming the palate. The vibe inside the West Lake spot is casual and unpretentious, but they take their craft seriously. Food service is streamlined and efficient; you order at the counter, and they pop the slices back into the oven so they land at your table screaming hot. The staff is genuinely proud of what they're slinging, and they should be. If you are an East Coast transplant drowning in a sea of mediocre pies, do yourself a favor and get over to West Lake. It's the real deal. PS: The gelato flavors are also sorcery. However, a review of their gelato is for another time. I must continue to savor the pie for now.
