My husband arrived 10 minutes before me and felt like the owner was rude and unprofessional. ( had a dog that jumped on our van and was unapologetic).( Also didn't want to talk to him and aggressive) Once I arrived I pulled behind my van and the owner pointed at me aggressively y to park down the street. The worst unprofessional experience you can get from a body shop will be from Bellsario's. No contract, no bill, the life-time warranty brochure they give you is totally useless and could be used if you in an emergency for toilets. When you want to show door alignment mistakes they made from their works delivered that can bring a water-leaking issue, the shop owner will yell at you like a crazy saying sh*tty words that his *nus would be jealous of. Mistakes they made can be simply fixed by Caliber Collision within 15 mins without any cost. They tried to fool their customer by not completing work they promised on the estimation. Don't go this place if you unfortunately involved in an accident that can be covered by your insurance. *Apart from photos shown below, there is a upper molding issue that the tip of it is not tighten to the body and it is just floating at the air. read more

Terrible customer service. I was hoping this place was top notch since it has great review but I was wrong. I arrived to get an estimate and Joe was on the phone the entire time. Yelling, cussing, and agitated on the phone. He arrived at my car which was parked in the street (there's no place to park) and hand motioned me move it to a narrow spot in front of the garage (he had just started a new phone call at this point). All he did was look at the dent and went inside without a word. I didn't know what was happening until his son came outside and handed me a paper with an estimate. His son then apologized for what happened and said they've been busy. Save yourself time, money, and stress. There's many other places that will answer your questions, provide you with a better estimate, and have places for you to park your car. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, chances are you might even leave with a new dent in your car. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. Got into an accident with full coverage, took it to this shop. Tried to give me back the car they "fixed" 3 separate times when there was still major major issues. They claimed they fixed certain parts on my car per my insurance claim and the parts were never replaced or fixed. Months and months of going back and fourth, having to drive an hour to the shop multiple times, having to get SECOND OPINIONS from OTHER SHOPS, to literally walk them through what needs fixed on my car, still end up with a broken car. I'm now coming out of pocket to replace my entire front suspension and having to pay labor elsewhere because after 3 times of them "fixing" my car, it's still completely shot. Can't even get an inspection done because the car isn't passing.. where's my insurance in all this? NO WHERE. Geico has not even tried to help no matter how many complaints I've sent in. DO NOT SEND YOUR VEHICLE HERE!!!!! read more

I was not impressed by Bellisario's. Reading all the nice reviews from other customers, I feel compelled to write my own to share my experiences and evaluation. The bottom line is that Bellisario's work is below average and his prices are above average. Joe mentions quality a lot in his store but he could not deliver it... to me at least. I really wanted this car mechanic to work for me but after three attempts (see below for details), I would not recommend his services. 1) Underestimating repair work When I first asked for his services, it was for auto body repairs following a frontal collision. After giving me his estimate, I agreed to the repairs. Unfortunately, the final bill was 30% above his original estimate. To be fair, I should say that the auto body work itself seemed to be of very good quality and he provided a lifetime warranty with his work. 2) Splash shield falling apart While driving on the highway at 65mph, a piece of the car came loose and started banging against the front door. Stopping on the side of the highway, I realized that the splash shield of the right front wheel was dangling. After further investigation, it turned out that this part was removed and placed back by Bellisario's during the repairs a few months earlier. Again, to be fair, Bellisario honored his warranty and replaced the part for free... Unfortunately, the scratches on the front door are still there as evidence of the collateral damage. 3) Unnecessary repair work I had a problem of a vibrating noise triggered at high speed with my car. I decided to consult Bellisario's about this. Again, to be fair, I knew this would be a tricky problem to diagnose. Anyway, I went to see him and he assured me that he would pinpoint the issue and get back to me. After waiting all day, I heard of no update. I finally called him and he told me that he found the problem and was fetching a replacement part in earnest. Again, I wanted to believe him. Unfortunately, it turned out that the problem was not fixed at all and the work he charged me for was unrelated. I called him a few days later to report the situation and he started becoming angry and defensive so I left it there. So there you have it... it is the disappointing end of a disappointing series of mishaps with Bellisario's. Again, do your research and I bet you'll find much better service at lower cost in Pittsburgh. At least, I did. read more

I own a 2015 red Dodge Challenger scat pack. I was in a minor accident where I hit a curb and had it towed to bellisario's. My car was in there for over one month. 2 months previous to it being in their shop I had to have new brakes and rotors placed on my vehicle. When my car was returned to me my rear tires were completely bald and I had taken it for inspection right after and I was told I needed new brake pads already. While I have no complaints about the restorative work they did on my vehicle I am highly dissatisfied to have my vehicle returned to me with bald tires and half the brake pads worn away. I was appalled by the response this shop reportedly gave to a member of my community. On Tuesday, December 19th, while a friend was parked on Shady Avenue (the main street in my area) a passing car hit our door while his wife was trying to take out his son. The door was badly damaged, and both were fortunately not hurt. The car was a Maserati, and was not owned by the driver, but rather, he was using it to run some errands, the driver was the owner of a body shop called Bellisario's. They not only used a car that was not theirs in the most unethical way, they damaged it and also could have killed his wife and child. Please beware of this business. They have shown a wanton disregard for the people of my community. Further, I believe that because he has a foreign accent Bellisario's felt that his complaint had no consequences. My girlfriend took her car to Bellisario's because I had gotten in a minor accident and there were two minor paint scratches. I had done research online and figured it should only cost between 200-400 dollars. They have her an estimate for 1100 dollars saying that her car was leaking antifreeze and that they'd need to remove the bumper and such. I did not trust them since there was no sign of such a leak. Joe is a wonderful person: I had been rear-ended in my brand new 2014 Ford Focus and the at-fault driver was dodging his insurance company. As a result, I had to go through my insurance to pay. Well, he looked at my car and quickly noticed details that the adjuster breezed past. He took care of everything, and when I picked the car up today, it looked brand new. I was living in of Mr. Joseph Bellisario's apartment for 5.5 years. He evicted me and towed my 1986 Ford Tempo into his body shop and five years ago. I have put a lot of money on the car, like a 1988 engine, a new transmission, I had a floor jack and my wrenches a carpet and my personal belonging. I kept them as if he owns my stuff. I need that car, I am poor and was using the housing authority at that time. Is there any justices in the Country to stop these rich people or Landlords with several businesses stealing from the poor. I want my car back. Whatever it is, still is my car. I never write reviews, but I think it is important to know what people might be getting into when it is bad. These folks at Bellisario's are rude, cut you off while you are talking. Looking at the other reviews, maybe he was having a terrible day. But I will tell you, I cant remember the last time I was treated so rudely who I was genuinely kind with. I searched online for an auto body shop after being rear ended and came across numerous ones in the area with poor reviews. Bellisario's was the only shop that seemed trustworthy so I thought I would take a chance. I gave them a call, took my car in the next day for them to look at and they ordered the parts immediately. The parts were in within a day or two and the car was completely fixed in less than the 3 days they estimated. Joe is very thorough and seemed to take pride in making sure my car was fixed to be like new with dealership parts rather than used ones. He provided me with a lifetime warranty on what he replaced. This proved, again, that he genuinely cared about the work he and his team do and their desire to earn lifetime customers. Extremely late review but I was compelled to write this after trying to find a new shop after I moved. Used to live in the area 3 years ago and was recommended to Bellisario's by a friend. Really great and honest work as many others have said. Can't remember exactly what the issue was (it has been three years...) But I remember it was related to a brake issue. Had some mechanical work done here about a year ago after hitting a curb pretty hard in the winter. They took forever to get parts ordered and installed and their communication was pretty lacking. After over three weeks I finally was able to pick up my car. It was obvious within about a day something was not right. I took it to the dealer and they confirmed the the wheel bearing had not been changed (it was on the insurance estimate and was billed for). I eventually got my insurance to pay to have it replaced at the dealer. The whole experience was pretty terrible and it's obvious to me Bellisarios never bothered to drive the car after the repair, never checked their work, and cut corners to save on their costs to make more profit off of my insurance (which is basically the definition on fraud). I would stay away from here at all costs. I only gave a second star since he knocked a bit off my deductible payment when I picked up the car. read more

Last weekend I scraped the length of my car on the concrete barrier (negative 5 stars to the city of Pittsburgh for the safety hazard that is the bus/train underpass on Fifth Ave/Washington Blvd). I wanted to get it fixed before I moved this weekend. I called Joe on Monday and he told me to stop by that morning and he'd give me an estimate. I could tell when I got there that they were slammed but he gave me a estimate (even gave me a small price break) and guaranteed the work would be done by Thursday. I'm so glad I looked! Bellisario's is tucked away in a residential neighborhood, so it's not a place you'd notice just driving by. I called to ask about getting an estimate and the owner, Joe said to stop by anytime during business hours and he'd get me an estimate in 10 minutes. I was a bit skeptical, because things don't typically go that smoothly, but I got there, he checked out my car and gave me an estimate and I was on my way in 10 minutes! I got an appointment within a week and a few days later my car was ready! The repair is perfect and he took care to fix every little detail! I hit a huge deer in Oakland on my way to work. The driver was there in a blink looking to help out (and gain business, can't blame him). He was very nice and offered me a lift to work. They worked well with my insurance company and communication was great. Three weeks later and $12k I was back on the road. The wheel flare on my 9-year old Ram dually was pretty chewed up from various incidents over the years. Joe took the truck in and when he and his people were done with it you wouldn't have been able to tell it from new. All of the dings and other blemishes were totally gone and the paint exactly matched the rest of the truck. The cost was more than reasonable. I took it to him initially becasue he has twice worked on my wife's Saab and did a perfect job both times.
