I have been here at least 10 times for a variety of repairs. This is a top tier, trustworthy auto repair shop.

I love this place. It's a shop straight out of another time and era, when mechanics were honest, pleasant, thorough, timely and nice. Looks like a low key neighborhood staple yet they work on Porsches and many other "high maintenance" brands. I'd take my car here for the rest of my life if I could! read more

I brought in my car due to strange scraping sounds. I was told I would need to take my car to a transmission specialist. I took it elsewhere only to find out that all my break pads are worn down to the point that my rotors need replaced. Also my tires wouldn't be able to pass inspection. I would have thought that when I brought my car to Louezzi a few months earlier, that they could have let me know my pads needed replaced before passing me. I've hardly driven my car since it's inspection as I work from...Let alone misdiagnosing worn break pads as a transmission problem. Breaks are the most fundamental thing! You cost me new rotors, Louezzi. DO NOT recommend. read more

I came here for an inspection. I'll start with the positive, it seems that my front brakes need urgent attention which I wasn't aware of and I appreciate them for diagnosing the issue. However, I made a 9am appointment and was quoted "a couple hours". When I came back 3.5 hours later to check and see if my car was ready, the technician told me "its not ready, I told you a couple hours but it will be ready around 1:30-2pm....you can take it now if you can't wait". I came here not only because of the Groupon but also I am a Highland Park resident that loves to support small businesses in the neighborhood. The total lack of accountability and empathy towards my situation is a big reason why I'll never come to this place again. I hope they can improve on the customer experience going forward. read more

Just had some damage repaired here and extremely happy with the result and experience. This place was one of two estimates I obtained before doing the work. Lou Jr saw me same day as I called and gave me a very straight forward written estimate momentarily. I had a body shop mechanic help me interpret the estimate line by line and it was completely fair. I felt reassured that there was no "special" upcharge for the car being driven in by me (clearly uninitiated female). They were very flexible with working with my schedule despite me changing it couple of times and got it all done in the time estimated. I also really like the vibe of this place.... local gentlemen were hanging out here drinking coffee..... it gives me a feeling of familial integrity. The actual result of my experience with working with Lou Jr. cemented that regard. Highly recommend! read more

I started going to Iezzi over a decade ago because they were recommended. Since then, not only have I highly recommended them to everyone who needs car repair/inspection, but I continue to drive through a tunnel and across two bridges and the river twice to have them work on my vehicles. They have consistently been the best price and have always contacted me prior to doing any work that goes over the initial estimate. Getting an appointment has never been an issue and they have always worked with my schedule. read more

I found Iezzi's through a recommendation by a friend. His rec came with the helpful statement that they never tell you to get anything done that you don't need. As a single woman, I hate shopping for new mechanics. (If you're a woman, you know why.) And particularly hate taking chances with a total stranger. For women who want the short and sweet - Yes. Go to Iezzi's. So with my friend's reference, and name dropping over the phone and in person, I tried this place out. He made time for me just a day later (although the rule of thumb here seems to be first in, first served - no appointments). They also drove me home - not everyone does that nowadays. Just a few hours later, they called to tell me what was up and how much it would cost. I can't say they were the cheapest, price-wise, but they were worth every penny. FTR - my car is a piece of crap that's been kept together for about four years now. While a few people have told me it's basically okay to drive, and a couple said one good pothole and it'll break in half, not one mechanic has told me exactly what I need to know about either of those situations. As part of the service with a car new to them, Iezzi checks it out all over - top to bottom. No extra charge for this service, btw. They gave me in plain terms the good and the bad, not sugarcoated, but no doom-saying either. So I know pretty much where I stand with this car for the first time in four years. And as my friend told me, not a single thing was suggested to me that didn't need to be done. Oh, they also top off all fluids, and fill the tires. How often does that happen? An honest mechanic who works quickly and efficiently, doesn't baffle you with lingo, and goes the extra mile. Wow! read more

Criminal pricing! Charges $49.95 to perform a tire sensor re-learn procress that takes 3 minutes tops to perform. This garage will take advantage of young women who need assistance by capitalizing on their lack of mechanical knowledge. Avoid at all cost. Also, damaged property by not understanding how to disassemble properly an item, so they just broke it off! ( DID NOT CREDIT FOR ERROR). $49.95 to take ONE tire off and put back on. Horrible for the consumer and horrible management to not own their mistakes! read more

Ever since I took my car here for the first time, I have never gone anywhere else because I trust them and do very competent work. They did a few things for me that they did even CHARGE me for. I recently took my car in for an informal "inspection" (my car is registered in another state that does not require inspection) but I wanted to know if there was anything to be concerned about before I began a 16 hr trip. So, I asked to them to look it over and let me know if they recommended anything before I left (only one thing needed and a heads up about other things that they COULD have said needed done.) I would NEVER give such open ended instructions to any other shop because I could not trust that they would not pile on. read more

I got an oil change at Iezzi's yesterday. Went I went to drive my car away on the side street where it was parked, one of my brand new tires was completely flat. I called Iezzi's and someone came with an air compressor to fill my tire enough to get me back to the shop, then directed me to drive the wrong way down a one-way street which resulted in me being yelled at by another driver. Once back in the shop, they tried to figure out where the problem came from and guessed that the leak had to do with the valve remaining open after they checked the tire pressure. When I asked what I should do if I continue to have problems with that tire now, the response was "I don't know why you would". Nobody ever said "sorry for the inconvenience" or "it is too bad this happened" or "please let us know if you have further trouble" or ANYTHING that indicated any remorse about the situation or good customer service. I 100% get that stuff happens and it may have been out of their control, but I went to them for an oil change and left with a flat tire. Someone saying "hey - sorry" would've been all that it took to not leave feeling crummy about it. I had to arrange for someone else to pick up my kids from school and the situation was a hassle that I would've preferred to avoid. A small acknowledgement of that is all I needed to not leave Iezzi's with a bad taste in my mouth. read more

They used to be great, but not so much any more. They did our state inspection last summer and had us do $1400 worth of work on the brake lines. Earlier in the year, they changed our brakes and tires. Feeling that their prices were rather high, we moved back to our Honda dealer, and over the course of the year one thing after another went wrong, all related to the brakes and brake lines. The least of the problems is a non Honda brake shoddily put in so that our brakes always squeal. The worst of the problems is that the brakes lines were put in so badly that they damaged other parts of our car (fuel lines), so that we've incurred further $$$ in repairs. read more

I used Iezzi's for the two years I lived in Pittsburgh, and I think they were the hardest thing to leave behind when I moved! An all-around honest, reasonably priced shop. They do what needs to be done and don't recommend a dozen other repairs that aren't needed. It was always easy to get appointments within a few days, and the work was fast.
