This review is for an estimate at Pittsburgh Collision Butler St 15201. Took for an estimate on drivers side door. Slightly pushed forward while opened & wouldnt open/close properly. Was told cost would be at a minimum $3,000 and if not done may not pass inspection. Took to another local family owned, reputable garage for 2nd estimate (38th & Penn Ave 15201). The elderly owner looked at the door, went back into the garage, came out with a wooden block, placed it in door hinge, opened/closed door several times, removed block, pulled down in door with his body weight, closed door & it WAS FIXED!!!!!!! He told me "no charge" Lol. I gave him some cash and told him to buy himself a dinner up the Little Italy Days. Needless to say, Ill never go to Pittsburgh Collision for any service. read more

Have had multiple great experiences with Pittsburgh Collision. We've gone through some bad luck with our Subaru being hit and have taken it to John at Pittsburgh Collision each time. He is very helpful and straightforward about the process and timeline. He saves money for you when possible and the work is amazing. Our aging car always looks better after leaving his shop. He also helps you plan with a nearby rental car place and coordinates with them on the return when you pick up your vehicle. Very impressed by everything. read more

Based on recommendations from coworkers we brought my son's car to John after it was hit in a parking. It took a few months to get on the schedule but we were fine with that since the car with still drivable. After some slight delays with the repair the car looks fantastic. John and his team will stand behind the work 100% to ensure you are happy with the repairs and the finished product. I highly recommend John and Pittsburgh Collision for all of your car repair needs. read more

I came into Pittsburgh Collision for an estimate appointment, and it was so quick and easy. The man who performed my estimate was so kind, and wiped off my car for free to get the best estimate on my damage. He explained the best option for me, and made me feel so much better about my damage. I will for sure be coming back to Pittsburgh Collision. read more

I haaaate doing things for my car; it's the bane of my existence. So I was really not looking forward to having to do anything for my car when I got rear-ended. But John and his staff made my experience so smooth and easy. They are so nice, communicative, and they go above and beyond for their clients! I could not have had a better experience with getting my car repaired. 10/10 recommend! read more

I had a good experience with this place. The work was done correctly and timely and the owner went out of his way to make sure of that. The owner is a real nice guy very personable and his staff is the same. The place is clean and easy to find. My insurance company recommended this place along with a few others. I'm glad I chose them and if I ever need work in the future I will return. read more

I had to get my bumper replaced. This place is on the StateFarm approved, blah blah blah list. They did a nice job on the bumper, and gave me an extra bottle of the paint that they used in case I need it in the future. I am satisfied with the work on the car and they even washed and vacuumed it. But, a few things I need to mention: My car was not done on time, and I ended up having to go get it a day late. This was NBD for me, but I could see it being a problem for someone else. Statefarm told me that they would come pick up my car at my house and bring it back when they were done, they said that is just not true and no one really does this (maybe that should be a comment for statefarm, not Pittsburgh Collision). Their parking lot is super tiny and a major pain to get in and out of during rush hour. Overall, I am satisfied, and the issues I had were minor, really they didn't even bother me, but I could see someone else getting bent out of shape about them. read more

*** BEWARE OF THIS PLACE*** My car was hit back in June of 2020 and my insurance company recommended this place due to it being in service. He repaired my vehicle from being hit and also informed me of other things that needed repaired. So I approved for him to do the work. He informed me that I needed two new front tires, control arm and also a wheel bearing. I informed him that I did have a Extended warranty and he said "normally they don't cover that" I then got another phone call with my new total. I paid it and went on with my day. In December my car started pulling to the right. I then got it towed to my shop because it was bad. I was informed by my mechanic that the person that had done the work on the control arm never put the safety pin in the ball joint to connect the two. I completely lost it! That tire basically fell off and I had been driving it like that for over 6 months. As a single mom of two that drives for a living I was completely lost. So I contacted John at pgh collision and he "didn't understand how that could of happened" .. like really?!?.. so my mechanic spoke to him as well. Then I found out these parts should of been covered 100% under my extended warranty so he also ripped me off of over $300. So when I confronted John regarding the charges that should of been covered and also the fee I had to pay my mechanic a few days prior to reattach it he got so ignorant. He was yelling at me in the front of my house while my kids were there. He is a joke and so are his mechanics since they can't even put a dam safety pin in a screw. Now I have the pleasure of dealing with my warranty company to get back for all the stuff this place charged me! read more

I highly-recommend Pittsburgh Collision. Friendly and really good at what they do. They handled all the insurance back and forth. My car looks great. John and his team go above and beyond to make the whole experience pleasant. Don't hesitate to give them a call if you need bodywork on your vehicle. read more

I had a great experience working with Pittsburgh Collision and recommended them highly. John was friendly and very easy to work with.

Friendly service and was able to order and install my driver side view mirror in a short amount of time.

If I could I would give them no stars. I was in a bad accident. When I picked up the car the check engine light was on. It was not on before the wreck. I was told it was not "accident related". When I arrived back after taking it home and it not driving to my standards I was met with sarcasm and anger by THE OWNER. We got into the car together, he was driving. He speeds up to almost 60 mph very quickly and all of the issues that were not there before the accident he had an excuse for. I was told I didn't know " sh**" about cars. I began to cry in my own vehicle. While driving back to the shop unsafely, the car stalls in the middle of the road.... Again this was not "accident related" even though this never happened before my accident. The car is still not fixed. I would not recommend anyone to go to this place. read more

This is three years late but it's important to share. Had my car repaired here due to someone hitting my front driver side. Thought this place did a great job until I noticed moisture in the light. Ever since I've had to replace the bulb often due to it getting moisture. Not happy. read more

Love these guys! I hope I never need an auto body shop again but if I do there is absolutely no doubt I will go to these guys again. My Mazda was rear ended and needed a new bumper and some repairs done to the trunk - these guys had it done in under 3 days, they worked with my schedule and stayed late so I could pick it up after work, and they gave me a really great price. AND the car! It looked better than when I bought it - they not only did a beautiful job on the repair, but they meticulously washed my car (my hub caps shined) and cleaned the interior. A really great experience overall, which is saying a lot considering the whole accident process is a huge pain. read more

Very professional, honest and put quality first. Very straightforward the whole way through. They made sure to use all new parts, and give back my car in the most perfect condition possible (honestly even better than before my fender bender). Felt like the team went above and beyond on multiple occasions whether it be to make scheduling easier for me, setting up my rental car or giving me the extra paint for my car. Would highly recommend. read more

So glad I took my car there to get fixed. What a perfect job, reasonable $, on time, could not of been nicer or more helpful.

Service was very pleasant. The owner was very personable and kind. They worked very hard with their busy schedule to accommodate to my schedule. I needed a whole new panel on my car and a new side mirror. The car looked fantastic after they were done with it. They even cleaned up the inside of my car and gave me an extra bottle of paint incase any more scratches occur. I highly recommend anyone who needs service done to their car to bring it here! read more

I had an appointment at 9 a.m. on Wednesday 08/31/2016 to replace my door handle on my car which I made a week in advance. I work all the way in Greensburg PA at 9 a.m. and took the time off for this to be completed. When I arrived at the garage, I was met outside by the gentleman telling me that he would not be able to get to it today. I was never contacted about this. I was very inconvenienced due to taking time off from work. I deal with customers on a daily basis and have for 25 years. If I would ever do this to any of my customers, I would have to compensate them in some way according to my Company. All I was told was I will call you next week to make an appointment. I live in Lawrenceville and I will tell everyone I know about my experience that I encounter. I will not give a Company business that treats their customers this way. read more

A drunk driver recently hit my driver's side mirror. Immediately I thought this was going to be expensive as I didn't have collision insurance on my car and the police were taking their time investigating my report. Pittsburgh collision was amazing! Their quote was unbelievably reasonable, they got my part within a day, and when I went to drop of my car at night because I was working the next day, they fixed my mirror in 20 minutes while I waited. Seriously could not have been a better experience! Thank you John and everyone else that helped me! Referring all my friends! read more

My car was vandalized with a stone scratching it from bumper to bumper on the driver's side. Erie Insurance gave me a list of approved body shops and this one was the most convenient. The color match was perfect and attention to detail made my 2013 Nissan Rogue look as good as new. I can't tell it was repainted. A rental car was provided for me at the shop and covered by my insurance. Service was very professional and the job took three days. I couldn't be more pleased with my experience. Highly recommend! read more

I hit a deer recently and incurred some damage to the front end of my car. My co worker recommended I take my car in to Pittsburgh Collision. I had nothing short of a wonderful experience here. John, the owner, was very helpful and provided exemplary service. He went above and beyond; answering any questions I had about insurance and booking my rental car for me. I was even provided a courtesy call to inform me of my vehicle's repair status before it was finished. Overall, the staff was extremely friendly and made me feel welcomed. My car looks brand new again. I was pleasantly surprised to find they had washed my car - my rims have never looked so good! Highly recommend! read more

Service was great. Everyone was friendly. Owner was very accommodating. They fixed my car fast and they did a great job. They even cleaned the car which was very, very dirty, and provided me a bottle of the left over paint for minor touch ups. Definitely will be back. read more

Was recommended to this shop after my roommate ran into my (parked) truck by her insurance company (major insurance company: SF). Called on a Thursday to make an appointment, and the woman on the phone very rudely said that they were booked for that week, Mondays aren't good, so I should call before I come on Tuesday. Fine. Called Tuesday at 1:00 as I was leaving, and I was informed that I should wait 30 min. Fine. Asked if I should leave my truck or if I could wait. Was rudely cut off and informed that I cannot leave my car just for an estimate. I told her I wouldn't leave my truck there if she paid me. And I gave a complaint to the insurance company, as they recommended this place. Did NOT let them work on my truck, and have told everyone I know that this place is garbage, including my grandmother and 2 cousins. Literally anywhere else is better! Anywhere!!! But get just an estimate here, I'm sure it will be way higher than you will get anywhere else. At least you can make a couple bucks when you DON'T let them work on it. read more
