    bone Chicken Cutlets

I was eating a chicken cutlet in my pasta, enjoying every bite, suddenly I chomped down on a bone. It was a shocking and completely unacceptable experience that ruined the entire meal. Very unfortunate

$16 sausage and pepper sub was terrible. All bread. I don't think I'd pay $5 for it. Have a picture wish I could share words don't do justice.

I had almost forgotten about this place. A friend told me they were having a Valentine's Day special and in we went. We hit it just before the after work rush so we didn't feel rushed at all. The special was for large bowls so we ordered them. I got greens and beans as my base, 1/2 meatballs and 1/2 chicken as my protein and finished it off with vodka sauce and some roasted vegetables. Oh yeah and some mozzarella on top too. Mine was delicious. With the greens and beans as a base it was somewhat soupy but that was ok with me. The flavors melded wonderfully. The vodka sauce adding a creamy garlicky tang to the chicken flavored greens and beans. I had some left for lunch the next day too. My son ordered an Italian rice base with meatballs, cheese and vodka sauce. The little bit of rice that I tried was salty but tasty and he finished the entire bowl. My husband chose one of the preset menu items , the 1/2 and 1/2. A pasta base with 1/2 meatballs and 1/2 sausage, Romano cheese and again vodka sauce. He thoroughly enjoyed and also had some for lunch. Part of the special was a drink included so we got 2 fountain drinks to go. Overall I found the food to be well flavored, satisfying and a good value especially when compared to some of the bowl chains that have popped up in the area lately. I will head back the next time we are too busy to cook. In addition to bowls they have wraps. They also have a lot of healthy bases like quinoa and salad and lots of sauces too. I do love me some vodka sauce though so I don't know if I'll be able to resist not ordering that!

The Fredo, as is. Huge portion, pretty good. The sauce was a little thin for my tastes

It's not bad, but it's not good. I went here to meet friends in a convenient spot. I would never have picked this place on my own, and I wouldn't return to it on my own either. The food was okay, the service was friendly. I can't speak to the price because my friend treated. The floor was really sticky which was a little unsettling. Clearly, this place is very popular with college kids. I'm sure it's a great spot for a warm, basic meal.

I ordered a large pasta bowl and a large salad bowl online through door dash. When my order got here the salad bowl was barely full and could have fit in the small size salad bowl. I am disgusted that I paid over 10 dollars for this and there's no refund in sight. What a rip off.

I LOVE THIS PLACE! They serve quality food! I am super picky about my Italian food and they do not disappoint. The alfredo sauce is some of the best I ever had. You get to build your own meal be it pasta or salad bowl, amongst other things. You then pick your pasta, sauce, protein and toppings. My go to is the rigatoni alfredo with chicken cutlet. This comes in a huge bowl and it is super filling. This is all at a very affordable price for the college budget. It's across the street from UAlbany making this a staple in my diet.

Pasta bowl with sweet sausage, topped with veggies and shaved Parmesan

I tried Bellini's counter months ago and felt I overpaid for what I got, but today they were offering $5 bowls so I figured I'd give it another shot. The bowl comes with a choice of linguine, rigatoni, or whole wheat pasta, followed by your choice of sauce, protein, and a variety of extras consisting mostly of veggies and cheese. I went with linguine, vodka sauce, sweet sausage, artichokes, olives, peppadew peppers, and shaved parmesan. You get what you'd expect from a place offering Italian food in a chipotle "build your own" style. The pasta was fine, the sauce and sausage provided most of the flavor, and the veggies added a little bit of bite and acidity. Chances are you won't regret coming here (maybe if you pay full price), but you won't be blown away either. I'd come back the next time they offer $5 bowls, but Bellini's Counter won't be working itself into my rotation of regular lunch spots.

Let's put it this way, I would find it very hard to leave here hungry. A very good option for lunch. If you have never been there, picture an Italian version of Chipotle or Subway. I had a pasta bowl and it was very filling. I had their marinara and vodka sauce with onions, sun dried tomatoes, and mozzarella cheese on top. The thing that I like is that they are not shy with the sauce. I hate it when you order a pasta dish and you are scraping for sauce; not here! Note: That there is a difference between Bellini's (sit down restaurant) and Bellini's Counter.

There is limited parking on the premises but always parking on the street if you don't mind some walking. The slightly rustic, lodge type of interior matches the friendly vibes as well as the interesting drink selections, including a side menu filled with signature coffee whiskey cocktails! Their tipsy cocktails and beer menu is also quite attractive. My group and I were able to walk in on a weekend evening for dinner with no wait and while it was packed inside, it still felt roomy enough. However, the surrounding tables were rowdy and the noise was reverberating. Our server was attentive though she did admit it was busy and the wait time for orders would take a bit longer than usual. The menu has plenty of starters that are highly shareable, poutine, salads, soups, mac and cheese, burgers, pizzas, sandwiches, wraps, and quesadillas. Haven't had real poutine in ages so I decided to try their gravy fries with smoked cheese curds and added bacon. It was a good portion for the price ($15+) and came out hot on a cast iron skillet. The cheese curds weren't the type I expected and melted down too much, and did not have that squeaky cheese bite one would want in poutine. The gravy and the bacon worked well with the fries though! The smoked brisket French onion soup ($8+) was extremely hot when it first came out and I had to let it cool down before taking a spoonful. The cheese was so bubbly and delicious and the soup itself was flavorful (maybe a tad too salty), and had a balanced amount of onions and brisket. I would definitely get the soup again. Their barbecue pulled pork quesadilla ($15+) was also a bit too salty and meat was more tough than preferred. We also tried two of their mac and cheese selections, which came in a small cast iron pot each ($17+). The bacon chicken ranch mac and cheese was good but the jerk chicken mac and cheese was not as memorable (not much jerk flavor). Kudos for having a build-your-own mac and cheese option as well as a mac and cheese flight if you want to try more than one flavor. I'm glad to return to try other menu items at this tap and tavern and see what else catches my eye. While this visit wasn't spectacular, it also wasn't bad. The French onion soup is one thing I know I'd get over and over again. Oh, they also have a credit card transaction fee that you will see once you get the bill. Pay in cash if you mind said fee.

I was out running errands around lunchtime and wanted something other than a typical fast food stop like 5 Guys. I had eaten at Saati Deli before and since I was already in the plaza, I decided to go there. There were a few people in line and a few waiting for orders. I grabbed a soda and when it was my turn, an employee was moving around behind the counter but did not acknowledge me. It only took a few minutes for a woman to come over and ask if I had been helped. She took my order, a turkey and Swiss on toasted rye with fries, and I paid. My order took a little longer than expected. When my sandwich was brought out, the fries were missing. The employee realized it and went to get them, but there was a brief mix up before the correct order was brought out. It was not a big deal for me since I was not in a hurry, and I have eaten here before without delays, so this may have just been an off day. I had more errands to run and did not eat right away. By the time I got home, the fries were still warm, which impressed me. The sandwich was tasty as always and the fries were very good. My order was correct and the food quality was exactly why I keep coming back. I have also been at events that Saati has catered, and the food has always been very good there as well. The space inside is a bit small, but I do not mind that. What stands out less positively is the customer service. Several other reviewers have mentioned the staff not being very friendly, and I would agree. The interaction feels less than businesslike, more like they will get you your food but without much engagement. A little more warmth would go a long way. Prices are on the higher side, but that comes with freshly prepared food and I am fine with that, especially when supporting a local business instead of a big chain. I will return because I do enjoy the food and appreciate having a local option like this. With more consistent friendliness, this place could really elevate the overall experience. 4 stars.
