I love Bellinis counter and my teenage kids would eat it every night. You get an incredible amount of food for the price and I can get two lunches or dinners out of it. They have added more items to the salad like quinoa and chickpeas which makes my vegetarian daughter very happy. Many of the reviews compare it to Chipotle. It is also similar to Poke places that offer bowls, wraps or salads. Personally, I love those places for quick fresh food to bring home for my family. I always order ahead online and set a time and pick it up. I saw there is an app now but I haven't tried it yet. read more

Visited for the first and last time Saturday, July 15th. I would give it 0 if possible. I ordered a kids plate to go and omega to go decided to sit outside to wait with my 3 old daughter. The line cook guy walks outside with my omega, his gloves on which he just grabbed the door with, I asked so this brings onion and cucumbers right, he said with an attitude can't you see them, then proceeds to grabs the onions and cucumbers from plate that were under sauce show them to me and throw back in my plate. To say the least I was in shock and decided not say anything store, as I'm sure any replacement food would be tampered. The worst service I have received my entire life. I went to Columbus, Ohio a few years back and went to a place called Piada that specialized in a design your own sandwich wrap, pasta or salad with an assortment of meats, sauces and toppings- the place was fantastic and I so wanted this area to have a place like that. I was thrilled when Bellinis counter opened because it was what I had been waiting for for so long! I ordered a pasta and a salad that I customized. The pasta I got with a cold sauce to make it a pasta salad type dish- I got the garlic parm sauce- pretty tasty- and added sausage, shaved parm, sundried tomatoes and artichokes. Overall the pasta was decent and ingredients all fresh- the only downfall (which was my mistake not theirs) I thought the sausage would be plain grilled sausage - but it was sausage in marinara already which I don't prefer but not their fault- mine for not noticing. The salad I ordered balsamic vinagrette, grilled chicken, sundried tomatoes, peppers, artichoke hearts- nice and fresh- but the meat could have been a bit more tender and more flavorful. Overall- you have so many options you can do here so if you didn't like your first dish- try a different combo. Staff that was on the night I went seemed a bit unsure of menu ingredients when I asked but were able to get information I asked for- I went a week or two after the opening so maybe they were still in the learning process- but at least they were able to find out what I needed to know and were friendly. read more

This place is so awesome, the food is quick and delicious! I've been there many times but today the staff was just amazing. My dad tends to complain at restaurants but when he asked for extra sauce (he already had plenty) after we had already sat down one of the ladies working was so nice about it. I had the opportunity to get a quick dinner here a couple of times the past few weeks and I was very impressed. The portion sizes were substantial and I was incredibly full. I just recently moved to the area and discovered Bellinis Counter while looking for a good lunch spot that serves create-your-own salads and wraps. Not only do they serve salads and wraps, they also serve hot food like chicken, sausage and peppers, and escarole and beans (which I absolutely love!) and create-your-own pasta dishes. So I purposely made a yelp account just to rate this place because I was so disappointed in my first and probably last visit. We went on a Friday at 6pm. We walked in and there was one group of four sitting down and two women deciding what they wanted so we went ahead to order. Also at this moment in time there were 5 people who were working and 4 not doing anything, huddled around the cash register. Me and my boyfriend both ordered the Italian wraps, mine with pesto grilled chicken and my boyfriend was doing a sausage and pepper wrap.The guy started making my wrap and I was kind of shocked at how LITTLE chicken he put on there. I would say there was 8 cube sized chunks of grilled chicken. I didn't say anything because I knew I was going to get veggies and thought maybe the wraps were really big. (by the way, the guy used the last of the grilled chicken that was in the area to construct the wraps, so I also thought he was just lazy to go and get more) So in a "subway" like fashion another girl started putting veggies on mine and finally my boyfriend's wrap caught up to the veggie station and again I was stunned, THERE WAS NOTHING on it. There was about 6 small pieces of sausage and a handful of sautéed onions. We paid and left to take it back to our house that is close. During the car ride, my boyfriend said the same thing; that the guy making the wraps used up the last of the sausage and he didn't go to get any more and that he was really in awe in how little they gave him. We got back to the house and opened up the wraps in anticipation to see will these really be worth the $20. And not to our surprise, it was not. First off they weren't even cut nor really wrapped. I felt horrible for my boyfriend because his wrap was just like eating bread. It was so tiny and nothing to it. Same with mine except at least there was lettuce to bulk it up. There was SO much wrap and not enough contents that we just ended up opening it up and eating what little was in there and throwing the rest away. I am a huge fan of Bellini's, I always get their takeout dinners and love going to the restaurant as well, but this is nothing like it! I know they are advertising it as a great place to go for a $8-$10 lunch or dinner and by that I think they mean it's a great place for an appetizer before you actually go out to your real meal. Next time I want to go to an Italian Sandwich shop, I will just take the extra minutes and go to Genoa or up to Halfmoon Sandwich Shoppe. Also yelp wants to know if it's great for kids and I say yes because that's the portions they serve. p.s- since this review, I have seen some reviews that state how wonderful this place is while sounding like a commercial. I went to Jacob's and Anthony's, and Bellini's Counter and found that I was getting the same spaghetti and meatballs at both places, However, I paid approximately 1/2 the price at Bellini's Counter. Unfortunately, in each case the sauce lacked body. In addition, I'm guessing that someone will file a law suit against Bellini's because there has to be a legal basis for selling me a "meatball" as opposed to selling me a "bread-crumb- ball". I'm not waiting for someone to actually determine that fine line. I've been fooled twice and won't go back. Maybe, when the time comes they can replace the two businesses with a Ho-Jo's! read more

Awesome take out from Bellini counter. Grandson picked pasta Alfredo (you choose your choice of pasta, sauce and topping like chix etc) says it's delicious ( HUGE enough to feed family of 4). I have been here three times and the food is always excellent! All the vegetables and meats are so fresh. The vodka cream sauce is amazing! The quality of food is just like the original Bellini's. All the employees are friendly. One of them convinced me into trying the cannoli chips. It is Bellini's homemade cannoli cream with cannoli shell chips to dip in! Yum! Bring your appetite! Meal portions are large! If you are trying to eat healthy, they have lots of options ( salads with fresh meats and fish or rice bowls). They also have traditional Italian meals. Pasta, meatballs, chicken parm, Alfredo and Vodka cream sauce. This time I had grilled chicken, peppers, onions, rice, Romano cheese, and vodka sauce in a flatbread! I could only eat half! This place is so misleading, its nothing like the restaurant describes it. Everything is pre cooked, nothing is made to order. All of the toppings are just sitting in a vat waiting to be ordered. Also the price range is not $7-$10, almost every item on the menu is $10, and there is only two items that are $9. I ordered a meatball sub, and the sub was 4 tiny meatballs, and that was $10. For $10 I could get a lot more meatballs anywhere, even New York City. They then told me the flatbread was going to be empty with just the meatballs on it, so they made me put pasta in a flatbread and told me if the pasta was on the side it would be extra. This place is so overpriced for basically nothing to eat. I will never even think about going back. read more

Just left Bellini's Counter , WHAT A JOKE , apparently none of the owners have ever been to an Italian Street Festival , the food is less than mediocre , the young kids running the place are pleasant enough , I guess that's the best thing I can say . Have you ever been to an Italian Restaurant where you had to beg for a piece of stale bread and then be charged $.95 , that's a disgrace , if business is that bad better to shut down than to embarrass yourself . I paid $22 for 2 salads and 2 pieces of stale bread I could have gone to the Standard and a salad that was much better and the bread and butter never stops coming and guess what NO EXTRA CHARGE , Not a wonder they couldn't make it in Crossgates Mall with Jacob and Anthony's , my guess is Bellini's might make it a year at there Latham locations . read more

Wrap with chicken cutlet, vodka sauce, rigatoni or whole wheat pasta, mozzarella, and parmesan is so good and is huge. I've also ordered a bowl before and received a generous and tasty portion. No idea why these other reviews are so negative. Those complaining about price must be poor and ought to go back to dollar menu fast food. A meal costs about the same as Chiptole $10-$12 for a huge portion and a drink. This is the kind of local business that needs to be supported. read more

Bellini's Counter provides a speedy alternative to those who don't have the time for a formal sit-down dinner. I have always left there with a full stomach and a smile from cheek to cheek. The pasta bowls seem like they are never ending; I highly suggest their scratch made chicken cutlets and vodka cream sauce. Their flatbreads are an interesting twist on your typical sandwich, ready to be stuffed with whatever meats and vegetables you could ever imagine. The staff is very attentive and knowledgable about the food they are serving. If you want a chicken cutlet or a piece of salmon and there is none waiting, have no fear, the staff is more than happy to cook some up fresh to top off your meal. Overall, the price is right and the quality of the food more than met my expectations.
