Chicken Salad. Fresh & delicious. Loved the dressing, too.
Pauline L.

From the outside it's difficult to tell what to expect, but as soon as we got through the double doors, we were met with an inviting, spacious room and delicious aromas. It looks like a warehouse space. It's brightly lit. Plenty of seating. Looks clean. Bold overhead signage and photos explain what's on the menu. There were several people behind the counter and a number of them were at the grill. The layout allows for plenty of safe distance between staff and approaching customers. The staffer who greeted us said the salads and pastas would take only a few minutes to prepare. He wasn't kidding. I ordered a Chicken Salad which was really a Caesar salad with chicken. It was so fresh. My husband ordered The Fredo: pasta, chicken, grape tomatoes, pesto, Alfredo sauce and melted cheese. That was amazing! I stole some of his food. There was so much of it, he ate the rest of it for lunch the next day. The prices were great. The prep speed was remarkable. It's not fast food in the traditional sense. It's good food fast. We did takeout and got out of there in less than five minutes after placing our orders. For casual dining, this place gets high marks. I noticed one reviewer called it a "hidden gem." I agree. I've passed this restaurant so many times and never walked in. My loss. I'll be stopping in again soon.

Pretty good. I had their Alfredo pasta with grilled chicken. The Alfredo sauce is kind of sweet which is weird. Not bad I guess but it's a little off putting. It prevents me from eating the whole thing which I guess can be a good thing. The grilled chicken is good. I've had the breaded chicken with this pasta before but I don't like it as much as the grilled. The breading is weak. The vodka sauce with rigatoni is another dish I've tried. Much better than the alfredo. Well balanced and flavorful. Thursdays are half priced pastas with student ID.

This place is great for an evening dinner . 30 minutes before close and the girl had an attitude like I was the first customer. She was awesome. Place was clean.

Large create your own pasta bowl - (half eaten cause I was too tempted by the enticing smell)

I was in Albany for some work and was looking at yelp for some good suggestions for food around my hotel. I decided to give this place a try - I'm so glad that I did. I got the rigatoni pasta bowl with their house made vodka sauce, topped with chicken, Parm and mozzarella cheese (cause you can never have enough cheese), onions, peppers, sun dried tomatoes and pepperoncini. Their vodka sauce is absolutely delicious!!! There are a vast number of toppings available from which you can pick - which is refreshing. This pasta has made my day! The staff is friendly and very helpful and the price point is quite good for the quantity of pasta I got.

For my first time here the food is pretty good. However the pasta is a little chewy, definitely needs to be cooked a little more than just thrown into hot water for 20 seconds like the guy who served me did. Overall the prices is good and I will be coming back again.

Mmm mm good

Service was quick. Had a nice Big C Bowl. No complaints. Would go back. Apparently they have three total locations.

I wanted to try a representative sampling of their food, so I ordered a chicken parmigiana wedge, a large cheese pizza, and a 2 liter bottle of diet Coke. Out of the three items, the best part of the meal was - the diet Coke. (If you've tried getting Cocla Cola products from Albany restaurants and are a Coke fan, you understand this.) The pizza was pleasant, but decidedly average. The crust was not crisp, though reheating should help with that, which I shall find out with the leftovers. There was more crust than I normally like relative to the cheese, but it wasn't overly unbalanced. It was just a little too much on the crust side. The wedge, in conrast, had so much sauce I could not taste the chciken at all, and had trouble even finding the chicken on the sandwich. When I did, the chicken had minimal flavor. a good chicken parmiagiana should actually let you taste chicken with crisp breading, not soggy breding hidden in enough sauce to cause digestive distress. And yes, I did expereince digestive distress. I might buy their pizza again, but Albany's a decent size city, and there's lots of competition. But I won't be trying the wedge for quite a whle.

Don't skip this place for pizza. It's one of the better upstate NY pizza places for sure. As pizza…read moresnob from NYC, I enjoyed the standard cheese pizza far more than I expected to. Also worth trying is the lamb over rice. Next time, I'd get it with extra sauce as it was a bit dry. However, I prefer this to Aria down the street - this doesn't have that flavor I dislike in the food from that other place that I've yet to figure out. I don't know if they have other options to add toppings, but maybe it's something to explore. It was just rice and lamb with a bit of green salad. Not other than advertised so no complaints there. The mozzerella sticks were good. Melba sauce was provided (as it should be everywhere in the universe). I'm torn on the eggplant parm dinner. It seemed like the eggplant rounds were cut up and mixed into the ziti or they were tender enough that they just disintegrated into the ziti. I'm certainly into having pasta with eggplant parm but also I want to control that ratio. This made it difficult to find and fork the eggplant amidst the ziti. It was also difficult to find eggplant pieces where the eggplant and breading were still unified. The eggplant was pretty good though. The calzone is not small. It was a bit light on ricotta compared to other calzones but there was no lack of cheese overall. It was more of a folded over white pizza than a calzone. That is, I expected it to be a puffy pocket but it was a flat semi circle with big slits on top. Not bad. Maybe I'd be in the mood for that style of calzone again in the future. I'd skip the buffalo chicken wrap next time. It was relatively dry, not spicy, and not as substantial as I was expecting. Beyond that, it had a grill flavor to it that was a bit out of place and interfered with the expected flavor. They seemed to put it on the grill to seal it closed in the middle but they keep the ends open so you have to hold the end closed while eating it to prevent bits from falling out. It was more of a somewhat buffalo flavored chicken roll-up than a buffalo chicken wrap. Surprisingly good fries. Also, great peanut butter pie. Note that the pepperoni is beef. It is very appreciated that it is clearly marked as beef so people can decide if that's a thing they want more or less than traditional pepperoni. Far too few other places think it's important to note this!

From appearances, Tribos looks like a fast casual Peri Peri chicken version of a Chipotle type restaurant. When I ordered, there was 1 Customer in the restaurant. They only gave about 3 people food before I received my order. And from the time I ordered 3 Medium Peri Peri Wings for myself, and 6 tenders to go for my son, it took 35 minutes for me to get my food. The young woman who helped me was very nice, and acted professionally under the circumstances. But they did not prepare me for the fact that my order might take that long. I would have left right away if they had. I finally had to speak up and I was told that they only had one person cooking. Frankly, given the amount of output from the kitchen, that should have been enough to finish my food much earlier. The wings were reasonably good. The sauce was spicy but manageable. The inner texture was most and juicy. The outer texture had some char, and wasn't too chewy as grilled wings sometimes are. If my order had taken about 10 minutes, which would have been reasonable for food of this nature, I would return. Given the lack of leadership and organization I experienced, I would not return. 2.25 Stars

The food is Portuguese inspired and peri peri is a chili pepper from Africa. They have mild to extra hot! Everything is made from scratch. There are many items to choose from; chicken, wings, burgers, wraps, rice bowls, platters, and more. The interior was nice and clean and the employees were friendly. I had the $10.99 quarter chicken white meat, flavor was hot, with a side of $4.99 rice. They also have complimentary sauces (red and white). The chicken was so tender and the flavor was robust. I'm a spicy fan so the hot was perfect for me. My family also enjoyed their meals. I'm happy to have this establishment close by to me!

Joe and his team have developed a great concept that allows you to have fresh, delicious Italian ingredients in a casual, take home meal. The same quality and flavor they serve at their sit down venues comes out in their bowl at Bellinis Counter. The vodka sauce is amazing however their marinara creme sauce is full of flavor and one of the best sauces i have eaten! Came to leave this negative review for Bellini's in Latham after the awful food we received tonight…read moreand saw I had left a similar review 6 years ago. Why do we keep patronizing them despite the many negative reviews? In my case I was ordering with someone that wanted to give them a try. I should have told them how awful Bellini's is but I didn't want to deter them from getting what they wanted. They are now believers after we got our terrible order. I like really good Italian, and even bad Italian. Bellini's has increasingly gone down hill to now being inedible. Their meatballs used to be just ok. Tonight, the meatballs were far from ok. They seemed to be made strictly of bread and the texture was off putting. The weak vodka sauce and chewy pasta didn't help the meatball situation. One bite of a meatball and the pasta was enough to throw the entire large bowl in the trash. I won't be ever going here again and would suggest you try ANYwhere instead of Bellini's counter in Latham.

"I love the flower girl Oh, I don't know just why…read moreShe simply caught my eye I love the flower girl she seemed so sweet and kind. She crept into my mind." (The Cowsills) Visiting the Flour Girl Café and Bakery will put you squarely in the middle of a Flour Girl Village with four distinct components. Within the village is the Flour Girl Café at 16 Main, the Flour Girl Bakery at 14 Main, the Flour Girl Country Store at 12 Main, and the Door Yard in a rear courtyard for dining and hosting events between the bakery and country store. Today we had breakfast at the Café and followed it up with a visit to the bakery. A common thread at both stops was the wonderful personality and friendliness of the staff we interacted with. The counterperson at the Café could not have been nicer and her personality radiated throughout the room like a beam of sunshine. She welcomed every new customer as though they were long lost relatives, exchanged some pleasant small talk and then diligently repeated the orders before ringing them up. She was fantastic. The café keeps things humming all week long--open Monday through Friday from 6:30 to 4:00, Saturdays from 7:30 to 4:00, and Sundays from 7:30 to 3:00. Flour Girl Café covers you from breakfast through lunch. Mornings bring all the good stuff: coffees and lattes, smoothies, egg sandwiches, bagels, wraps, waffles, toasts--you get the idea. Swing by at lunchtime and you'll find sandwiches, paninis, salads, burgers and soups waiting for you. Oh, and as a bonus perk, the bread for sandwiches and burgers is made at the bakery next door, so freshness is something the Flour Girl takes seriously. For breakfast, we had a Bacon, Egg, Lettuce, Tomato, and Cheese Bagel ($7.99) and an Avocado Toast (2 pieces) with Feta and tomato ($9.99), Two 16-ounce drip coffees were $3.50 apiece. The portions were large, and my avocado toast on sourdough was fantastic. We sat in the first-floor dining room and took in the pretty interior design of pinks, pastels, and floral color theme. Now, on to the bakery! The Flour Girl Bakery may be best known for its sourdough breads, but the fun doesn't stop there. You'll also find muffins, cookies, scones, their award winning cinnamon rolls, and a rotating lineup of fresh baked breads. And those cinnamon rolls? They spark a full on weekend rush--people happily line up just to snag one before they disappear. We picked up a box of mixed goods, muffins, cake squares, and a big hunk of jalapeno cornbread that will go perfectly with a homemade batch of lentil chili sitting in my fridge. We saw an adorable feature at the bakery, where plastic eggs were hidden within the store for the kiddies to find and cash in for a cookie. It's the little customer service features we saw at the Flour Girl's Café, Bakery, and Country Store that made today's visit so pleasant.

I think there may be a small sign but i heard it several times during my visit - people asking for breakfast! Might be something to reconsider or place a visible sign underlining breakfast stops at 11:30 AM. Anyhow, pivoted to the lunch menu - pesto chicken sandwich was delicious. Did not love the pasta salad, wish there was the option for fry's. Really wanted the thanksgiving wrap but was out of stuck - next time hopefully! I will say - while there are many options for seating, especially with the new accommodation, it's tight. Chairs back into aisles and the table legs don't allow chairs to be pushed in that well. Entrance area can feel a bit overwhelming if it's busy. Staff super friendly and knowledgeable, will continue to come back.
