As your standard Gringo raised in the South, I don't know what's up with NY style pizza. But this place made me weak in the knees when I took that first bite of the pepperoni slice. They serve the best pizza in the Warrensburg area. The restaurant has been remodeled and looks great. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. The food is the best! Geovanni is the owner and he is a nice guy. They used to be known as "The Pizza Shop". The new name is "Canepa's Pizza Shop". My experience was absolutely horrible. The lady in the shop had such a nasty, negative attitude. Please don't get me wrong; everyone has bad days, but there's no need to take it out on a customer. The food matches her attitude. The service and food were bad enough that we left and didn't even finish our food. I just went in there hoping for that small-town pizza shop. Thought I would give it a try again. it's just not what it used to be. Very disappointed with the Italian sub this time. Last time it was the calzone and Stromboli. it was my to go to but not anymore. As usual the food was very good. I would recommend that if you order pickup you not select a hot sub. It appeared to me that they didn't begin to start making the sub until I walked in the door. So instead of the 25 minutes I was told from the time I made the call it took 50 minutes until I had the subs. If they had told me on the phone that it would be 50 minutes I would have no issue and would have planned accordingly. There seemed to be no sense of urgency... Nutshell: Solid NYC style pizza that I'll be back to buy again the next time I'm up W-town way. I got an XL sauseeeege and it was 16 and change. Totally reasonable! Met the owner's wife and she gave me a little bit of rundown on their business. Super nice lady and she said her husband is Italian and has a flair for the pizza makin' bidness. Their 3 year anniversary as a pizza jurnt is celebrated December of 2017 and the following March of 2018, they are changing locations to just up Main Street aways. They are building their own structure and will have new pizza ovens as well, so they'll have it all set up according to their own specs. Looking forward to trying it once they've made their move. She said they do 2 slices and a soda specials that run from 5 to 7 bucks depending on toppings and they have slices available pretty much anytime they're open. Only took 20 minutes for my pie mid-day on a Wednesday afternoon. They are not open 7 days a week so you might want to call if you're driving up from Lake George just for their offerings. Sausage was home done and I liked it. As soon as I opened the pizza box on my pie it screamed NYC pizza (see my pics) and that's a good thing! I would definitely liken it to the pizza that I've gotten in NYC that use a Hobart traditional style propane or natural gas oven. It's a traditional NYC style thin crust for sure. Ample cheese and toppings and the sauce played music in the background. The sausage was the headliner on this pie for sure and Jimmy likey. FYIzzle: They have a frequent buyers card; buy 10 XL pizzas and get your 11th free. I saw at least two other pizza shops on Main Street while driving to this one, but this one has been rated the top pizza joint of the LG/Warrensburgville area. It's tasty, dough is made fresh daily, and it's priced very reasonably. Like I said, I'll be back! Next time I hope I get a chance to talk pizza with the owner as I'm pretty crazy for pizza and make A LOT of my own homemade pies. read more

We were up camping in the ADKs last week and stopped by here on a rainy Tuesday night. OMG it is an amazing place! We ended up going back there two more times and my parents and aunt and uncle also checked it out and loved it. We got a plain pie for the kids and the Four Seasons for us the first night (plain, white, sausage and pepperoni, Buffalo chicken). The white is out of this world amazing. The sausage and pepperoni and plain were also very very good. The Buffalo chicken could have used crumbled bleu cheese and red onions according to my husband lol. On the third trip my husband got the chicken parm sub which he enjoyed! The staff is friendly, ample seating, reasonable prices, and parking is on the side lot and on street. Highly recommend! Pulled off the exit from rout 87 for a quick bathroom/food stop and ended up at this pizza place. I got two regular cheese slices and they were delicious! Fresh and had great taste! The thin 10in gluten free pizza was pretty good, and the regular eggplant lovers was nice (although I would add just a bit more salt). I engaged in a conversation with a great young couple about the differences between New York Pizza and what they serve, using the same name in California. Seriously, California Pizza makers should either be arrested for fraud or sent here for cooking lessons. Seriously, this place is clean, we'll run, lots of personality and they make an awesome product. If you live within 5 miles, they'll deliver for free. Unfortunately my campground is just outside that radius...however it's worth the trip into Warrensburg for what just may be the best Pizza I have ever eaten. read more

There's a good reason this place has so many 5 star ratings. I've been meaning to write this review for a while, and now I'm finally getting around to doing it. A few months ago, me and some friends went to stay in Lake George for a weekend. Saturday night we were looking for some good, inexpensive food. We were told about this place by one of the locals, so we came to check it out. It's a small shop located on a main road. I imagine they get more take out than people dining in, because when we got there, only one other table was taken. We ordered an XL Hawaiian Pie and pasta with meatballs. Now, while the pasta and meatballs were great, the portion size was a little small for the price. However, it was more than made up for with the pizza. An 18 inch XL specialty pie for $13.50. I think this is the best priced, and some of the best tasting pizza I've ever had in my life. Between three adult men and a woman, we all loved it and could hardly finish the last slice. Everything just tasted so fresh, and it was hot, but not so hot that the cheese was falling off and you burned your mouth. The staff was also super friendly, as was the woman that owns the place with her husband. The store itself is also very pleasant. Like I mentioned, it's a relatively small place, but it's also spacious enough because they don't overcrowd it with chairs and tables. It has a simple, and charming feel to it. My only regret is that we didn't order another pie to take with us and eat for a meal the following day, because sadly, they're not open on Sundays or Mondays. :( Tl;dr: DELICIOUS pizza, amazing price, nice shop and friendly staff and owners.
