Quite possibly the worst subs and macaroni salad I've ever had in my life! The sub roll I'd so tasteless I could have been eating a cardboard box, supermarket macaroni salad is far superior at half the price. The meats at the butcher counter looked decent, but extremely high priced, do yourself a favor and skip the deli counter altogether! If you don't live in Warrensburg, don't bother going and if you do make the 15 minute drive down to Queensbury and go to Beans deli! read more

1st time here. I wasn't overly impressed, nice store, big selection and nice staff. I ordered 2 Roast Beef Wedges, the roast beef was so over cooked and dry, it was pot roast. Bread had no flavor. I grew up outside NYC, just used to rare roast beef and good italian bread. read more

Stopped for a late lunch after a tough, two-mountain morning hike and were so happy to be able to sanitize indoors and then sit at the outdoor tables in the sunshine to share a gigantic, made-to-order Italian sub* "with everything" and delicious grab-and-go baked potato & egg salad. We also went a little nuts buying a number of local Oscar's rubs, a jar of pickled garlic, and grab-and-go chocolate/chocolate mousse layered cake. Stopped in here on a whim. It's a little pricey but they have quality ingredients-some that I've never seen before like pickled kielbasa. My create your own sandwich was awesome. $10 but it was huuuge. And the service was quick and friendly considering a few groups came in at the same time. Mostly a grouchy staff. Owner is also a person to avoid. Told her that I found hair in my sandwich (that she made) and she said "Mistakes happen". No apology what so ever. Wow I love this place! Giant sandwiches - seriously insane giant sandwiches, the full size are about $15 but packed inside a loaf of Italian bread is about 1 1/2 lbs of meat and any and all the toppings you want. The half is more than enough for 2 people, the Demi got me two lunches and they have wraps and sandwiches on a roll as well. Hamburgers and dogs were excellent when I picked up from the meat counter for a recent bbq. The bacon egg and cheese is awesome for breakfast and they have solid coffee. The store has almost everything you could want from slices of pie to jars of picked eggs and pickled sausage. They have a huge selection of homemade beef jerky in a variety of flavors. Stopped in over Memorial Day weekend. Bought 2 half subs, ( each half fed 4 people. Mixed Italian was excellent, as well as the turkey with lettuce, tomato, and light onions. My in-laws always brought my husband and I ham steaks and Italian heroes whenever they visited LG over the years, we enjoyed them but when we finally checked it out ourselves we decided to explore the steaks, bacon & chicken instead. Our first trip we got two rib-eyes and a pound of hickory bacon. Wow, both delicious and so fresh. The next day we came back for wings and new york strip steaks. Great find! Went after a morning hike to get a sub. The sub was fantastic, quite large and perfectly made on delicious fresh bread. We also tried the macaroni salad and German potato salad. Disappointed by the macaroni salad which surprisingly had peas in it. My son and I agree it really had no taste, not bad or good jut didn't taste like anything. The German potato salad was pretty good. The star was the sub for sure. It was very busy little place and hard to social distance but they had marked spots on the floor to aide in that. Everyone was very friendly and constantly cleaning which was great to see. I was very impressed by the large selection of items including inexpensive spices, assortment of salsa, dressings, homemade items;etc. Many items to look at. They also had many bakery/pastry items too. Looking forward to going back to try some of the other things and meats to prepare at home on the grill. read more

Been coming here for ten years and the lady at the sandwich counter must have been having a bad day.the pad was on the counter so I filled out the order for a half a roast beef sub with provolone hot peepers and mustard. As soon as she asks who's next I hand her the paper with my order she then makes it a point to hide the pad... paid for my sub and left. Split it with a co worker as soon as he bit into it there was so much mustard it immediately shot out. Didn't even attempt to eat the other half going to bring it back later and ask for my money Update: Meghan and the cashier were nothing but nice. Got a refund and will continue to eat there just won't have Debbie make my sandwiches. read more

If I could give zero, or negative, stars, I would. First these guys delay the $50 2-day shipping Christmas-time shipping my mom ordered to avoid issues with shipping - which by the way were UPS and FedEx issues, not Post Office. Second they decide to use USPS Priority -- what the heck kind of really stupid person does that with MEAT!?!? FedEx is the same price for 2-day, which is what Oscar's uses. Third, the package showed up today, Monday, when it was supposed to be here last Wednesday or Thursday. Fourth, half the package is covered in red meat stain. I have never had a worse mail-order experience, and my mom had to suffer with the aggravation and anger of an unfulfilled Christmas gift. Horrible experience all around. Too bad these guys weren't the ones who burned down a couple years ago. read more

They subs are amazing and their pastries are pretty good too. Great selection of meat. Don't be deceived... their "half" subs are huge... I often can't finish them, which is rarely a problem for me anywhere else. Only complaint is that it seems like nothing has a price tag on it so it's hard to know how much anything costs. read more

Annual Warrensburg Garage Sale held this past weekend. Highly recommended by coworker for its delicious deli sub. The locals and I concur (place was packed for lunch despite many outside food vendors)! This local convenience one-stop-shop is a mini-grocery store serving cold and hot food. Can't speak for anything other than its generous, simple, yummy, affordable submarine. For $6, I got half turkey sub (10-12" long ) served with LOTs of on-the-house meat, choice of lettuce, tomatoes, onions, banana peppers, cukes, olives, and mayonaise dressing on a french bread roll. So big that the half of the half sub saved later for dinner! Jacobs and Toney Meats is worth the visit if you are in town and crave a classic well-done sub. read more

Very impressed with their subs! The bread is delicious and full of meats and customized toppings. Will defiantly be coming here when we are in town again. The soup however, fell short. It's a typical "boil in a bag" type soup. I was hoping for a more homemade soup being they used fresh baked bread for the sandwiches . But overall we were very thrilled with our lunch. read more

First time going here on 10/14/15. They use a very large loaf of bread to make subs, but it wasn't packed with cold cuts....it was still good though. Got some meat to make beef stew - that was good. I really like their steak pinwheels - got spinach & bacon ones. You are paying a high price for the steak, and there is really more "stuffing" than meat...but still it was very tasty. Extremely disappointed in their German potato salad -- too much vinegar. I hope they do something to improve it. All in all, a good store. I think the prices are fair, the quality good (except for the salad). I will go back. read more

Great meats and even fresh produce. They probably have the best subs in the area. I would have given them 5 stars but there is a short, chubby older lady who makes subs that is rude as can be everytime I got in there. She acts extremely put out if you customize your sub. It just sucks that superb food has to be tainted with rotten service. read more
