If you ever find yourself in the small, quiet town of Warrensburg, New York, you've got to check out Mark's Hometown Cue. It's a real hidden gem tucked away in upstate New York, and it's honestly one of the best barbecue spots I've been to. Walking in, you're instantly hit with this amazing smell of slow-cooked meats that sets the tone for the meal ahead. The place itself is clean and beautifully designed, with a cozy, welcoming vibe. It's the kind of place that makes you feel right at home the second you step through the door. The service was outstanding, too. The guy working there was super friendly and took the time to talk us through the menu. He gave some great recommendations, and you could tell he really knew his stuff. Now, let's talk about the food. We had pulled pork ribs, brisket, mac & cheese, and a couple of other sides, and wow, every bite was incredible. The pulled pork was so tender and juicy, with just the right amount of smoky flavor. And the brisket? Honestly, it was some of the best I've ever had and I've been to Texas where BBQ is what they live for and this can battle some of the best. This place has seriously good BBQ. I got there later in the day and they were sold out of some things. The brisket and ribs alone were worth going for, however. Tender, flavorful, not excessively fatty...just delicious! Three different sauces are available for dipping or slathering, your choice.
