    These bunch of young men were the most professional, friendly, qualified gentlemen I could imagine to do our move. Jean, Dijon, Toy, Donte, and Jaquel really did an excellent job and I'd recommend them to anyone! Price was great, communication was great, and their attitude couldn't have been better. Highly recommended.

    The moving process started on April 25, 2024 in FL. We had furniture & other personal items moved up to our home in MD. Bellhop was grossly negligent with the way they handled our move and will not reimburse us for the damage. The movers did not come fully prepared to move our items. They ended up using some of my wrapping materials. The weather in Baltimore on the delivery day included light rain. The 3 guys who unloaded the truck were not professional movers. They ended up damaging our dining table and ruining our mattress. The FL loaders did not wrap the mattress in plastic and should have removed the dining table legs. The items were both in perfect condition when they left FL. The MD movers dropped the mattress on the wet ground several times and one of them cut their hand and bled on it; the mattress was so messed up that we had to dispose of it. The table leg was broken into 3 pieces. Bellhop will not reimburse me $425 for the table repair or the cost of mattress. We have receipts with proof of the table repair and cost of the mattress we purchased in Oct. 2021.

    SO DISAPPOINTED!!! I chosen them after read good reviews and price that they offered. Turned out horrible. They showed an hour late. They don't have any skill to move furniture. All my beautiful new furniture got damaged by dragging. Not just skill also no tools at all. Such as a tape, screw driver.. Also they charged more than offered price. Just DO NOT use their service!!!

    Damaged stairs

    They are the ABSOLUTE worst. Definitely do not use them. All of our furniture is damaged and our new home. They did a terrible job with judgment on things fitting and damaged everything. Also read the terms of service, apparently Bellhop expects you to wrap and protect your own stuff for $1500. We have brand new floors/stairs that they damaged. And a hole in the wall they tried to hide and then left! They left our couch and crib in the garage because they were too lazy to figure it out. They won't even acknowledge our claim. We will be telling Redfin to no longer partner with this terrible company.

    Let's do the good first. The 2 moving pros were really friendly and knew what they were doing. They wore masks, asked questions, and really seemed to know their jobs. Now the bad... the truck was 1 hour and 20 minutes late. I was told he locked the keys in the truck..nice. When the truck arrived they had almost 0 shrink wrap and 2 blankets. The mattress is filthy and unusable. There was dirt on the sectional but cleanable. To sum it up the company has the movers in place to be one of the better moving companies but the trucks are complete garbage. If you like dirty furniture then this is the company for you. If not find a different moving company.

    I AM LIVID. We used Bellhops today for a move. Three movers at an estimated 4 hours, although the woman on the phone said she thought it would only take 3, she just wanted to make sure that there was enough time. It took them 3.5 hours. Anyways, so they get to our old house and early on it's pretty easy to see that they're completely inept. Matt was the lead and I told him things I was worried about (getting the mattress down the stairs, getting the couches out of our old house and and into the new because they're big) and all he said was "It's fine we can make it work." And well Austin and Ufon-Abasi could not make those things work. My husband had to tell them how to bring our mattress down the stairs. We bought mattress bags and they tried to put the mattress down with the open side first AND THEN DIDN'T UNDERSTAND WHY IT KEPT SLIPPING OFF. I'm not kidding-my husband had to explain to these "experts" that they needed it to go closed side down the stairs to keep it on. He also had to explain to them how couches fit out doors (like tilting and lifting). It was a disaster. And then we get to the new house and one of the guys decides to take a 10-15 minute bathroom break, which meant the other guy just played on his phone and waited for him to be done (instead of, idk, bringing in small furniture he could carry alone). Then when they go to bring our bagged mattress, only a year old bed that's never been moved before-THEY TAKE OFF THE MATTRESS BAG. I noticed, while my husband was pushing it and giving them directions about how to take it up the stairs because they were just standing there and staring, they got some red paint or dirt or something on it from having it in the truck without the protective bag. I repeat-IT WAS A DISASTER. The icing on the cake was when they left and Mr. Pooper decided it was a good idea to remind us that we can tip them on the app. As soon as they left I called Bellhops and the woman I spoke to was very nice. She took 15 minutes off of the time because of the bathroom break and gave me 10% off the whole move. She also forwarded me to their claims department. So I get an email from them and apparently they pay $.60 per pound for damage caused to an item, but they need pictures. When I came upstairs to take pictures-the sight was so much worse than I could have anticipated. They got holes in it and stuffing was coming out. They must have dragged it in dirt because there were sticks intertwined into the fabric. There's red and black marks all over it. It's completely ruined. My $1500 Satvaa mattress that my husband and I splurged on as a wedding present to ourselves is now gross and dirty and ruined. $.60 to my 145 pound mattress is not going to cover it. I've never used movers before and we did it because we bought our first house and wanted as little stress as possible-and that's not at all what we got. Never again will I use this company and I recommend that you don't either! EDIT: Although I was unhappy with the movers, their customer service is OFF. THE. CHARTS. I spoke with a few people over a couple of days and every one of them was apologetic, friendly, and they worked to make things right. I was impressed with Charlotte who was the lead on my claim and her sincerity and follow up with my issues. I changed my initial one star rating to a three because of her.

Once from Indiana to Baltimore City, and the second from Baltimore City to Michigan. The first time I moved with them, the moving coordinator I worked with was very communicative, checked in with me throughout the moving process (including when my items were being picked up), and was conscious of my anxiety levels. The second time I moved, I needed to contact Stephanie to remind her of upcoming deadlines, follow up with her when she said that she would get back to me and failed to do so, and was also unprofessional at times, uttering profanities like "retarded" in reference to the move itself when on the phone with her. What's more is that one of my inventory items never even arrived to me. They launched an audit to find the lost items but came back empty, so I guess one of their workers just walked off with it. The pay out on the audit also was less than half of what the items were valued at. Some of the items that were lost can't be replaced. Like how does something just walk off? You're a moving company that specializes in moving things, and you're one of the most expensive brands in the market with guaranteed service. On a positive note, the people who picked and dropped off my belongings were very professional, on time, and handled everything like glass. Don't think I'll work with Perry again.
