We were recommended by his cafe and decided to come see for ourselves. The ambiance was nice they have both indoor and outdoor seating which was nice. It seemed pretty busy but not overly crowded. The drinks and food were really great. Unfortunately once we got our food we were completely forgotten.

Have visited Bella Bru a couple times and thought I had already written a review (face palm). My favorites are the Thai salad, watermelon refresher, cookies, fruit basket cake and today we had happy hour nachos. How did I not know about happy hour?! The nachos were topped with carnitas, guac, salsa and layered with black beans and cheese. Carlo and Araceli took great care of our party.

This is one of my places I normally go to when I am in the Natomas area. I had the turkey, bacon, and avocado omelette. I had it with egg whites and fruit and they were accommodating. The omelette was good and had a good amount of turkey meat in it. The only complaint was that the cheese wasn't as melted and it was not as hot to my taste. Overall, service was good and they have a nice outdoor seating area. I would definitely come back to try the other menu items.

Another solid Bella Bru brunch! We love coming here after our Saturday morning runs and the staff are always excellent! Today was rainy and inside was warm and cozy. The amazing sourdough bread with my omelette is my favorite morning meal and today our table ordered a $10 muffin platter with carrot cake, blueberry and banana nut. The banana nut was TO DIE FOR! Next time I'll try the pumpkin cream cheese muffin. You can also get savory bagels; next time, jalapeno cream cheese is on my list. Thanks Liz for always saving a space for us!

Came here for a weekday breakfast. I ordered the Southwest Burrito and I have to say that I was pretty impressed. The burrito held up very well and the filling was cooked to perfection. Looking forward to trying more of the menu.

The Bella Bru coffee was delicious! My favorite part of the meal. My chilaquiles were good, I wish it had some sort of crunch element to it. It was pretty moist and the tomato sauce wasn't amazing. My girlfriend got the Pesto Omelet which was also good.

We had some friends in town and decided to take them out to a local breakfast place. Bella Brue Cafe was right there and i have never been to it and decided to give it a try. The place had a large area of seating outdoor+ indoors. It was such a nice morning that we decided to eat outside. We were immediately seating and the waiter was very friendly. We got the chicken fried steak and egg omelets. Both items were extremely delicious. The omelette was the winner. The sauce they had on the omelette went so well with it. The amount of stuffing inside fulfil my hunger!

My family and I have been coming to this Bella Bru for years! Never had a bad experience. Their food is always delicious. The service is always on point. The desserts that you see when you first walk in the door always look so fresh. I love the open outdoor patio area. It's so nice to dine outside on a beautiful day. The outdoor patio is large enough to where you don't feel crammed. The restaurant is very clean inside and out. Even the bathrooms are always clean and stocked with toilet paper and paper towels. The bartenders make excellent cocktails and mimosas! Perfect place for brunch. Looking forward to continuing traditions here!!

We wanted to try their brunch but arrived later than expected so we decided on giving their pizza a try and were so glad we did!! We loved the thin crust and reminded me of New York pizza! We ordered half sicilian & half mushroom truffle pizza! They were baked perfected and so well seasoned! I had my doubts ordering a pizza here but this might be one of my top places to get pizza!

First time for breakfast there. Same yummy on my plate. Spottier service (staffing on weekends can be a nightmare, I get it!). Supper has always been more attentive. Hubs had a combo meal with French toast, eggs, bacon, and potatoes. He was satisfied, but underwhelmed. I had quiche Lorraine with potatoes and a side of Benedict sauce. Heavenly. A little pricey for our budget, so it'll be a splurge choice, not a regular, and weekdays, not weekends.

The service on this visit was very good. Our server had good timing and attentive. The quiche was great. Flavorful and arrived warm. The fresh fruit...kinda on the dry side (?) But sweet. The waffle was average. Potatos came undercooked but they were nice enough to fix this though still came unserseasoned....average. also had a carmel coffee and iced mocha. They were ok. Their hot chocolate seems to be my favorite.

Overpriced for what you get, taste wise. There are so many delicious brunch spots in Sac especially for the price you deserve to eat better.

Coffee shop vibes at the takeout counter

I gave this place a second chance and am glad I did. Latest visit that I enjoyed: Steak Salad with lots of flavor, French 75 mocktail in a nice chilled glass and a cup of soup with fresh baked bread. Sat inside on a cold winter's night. The salad dressing was a little heavy, especially considering there was also pesto and caramelized onion. I would get the dressing light or on the side next time. First visit two years ago that I did not like: a bland pasta lunch seated outside in the summer sun. I much prefer this place for a cozy cold-weather time. It is family-friendly and has good variety on the menu for different tastes. Bonus: the takeout coffee counter is like a coffee shop in Natomas which has so few.

Walked in and instantly greeted by Elena and let me tell you... Elena wasn't taking orders she was basically an offensive coordinator drawing up plays for breakfast lol . I told her it was my first time and she goes "I got you." That's all I needed to hear. You now order from a kiosk menu, which has photos, descriptions, and current prices. It was quick and easy. I ordered Ye Beg Alicha, which the menu describes as a lamb soup. I would refer to it as a stew, exactly what I was hoping for. It was a large serving of many, small pieces of lamb, in a spiced, buttery stew and comes with a small salad. It was delicious. My husband had the veggie platter, which came with Cabbage Wot (cabbage, plus a few carrots and potatoes), Miser Wot (spicy red lentil stew), Gomen Wot (collard greens), Shiro Wot (chickpea stew), Kik Alicha (mild split pea stew), and a small salad. He's not a big fan of collard greens, but ate and enjoyed everything. He found the Miser Wot particularly spicy, which he appreciated. Both our entrees were served on a large piece of Injera, and also came with 3 rolled up Injera pieces. We both love their Injera, which has a perfect sour flavor, and the texture of 100% teff. It takes a while to get the food, but I like the fact that that means they cook from scratch with fresh ingredients. As mentioned, Injera (darker and sourer than other Ethiopian restaurants we tried) is a good example. Service was warm and welcoming, as they state on the web site as a goal they strive for.

The restaurant itself was already VERY loud, with customers talking, laughing, and enjoying themselves. We actually appreciated the atmosphere because, as parents of a toddler, it made us feel more comfortable dining there as a family. Shortly after receiving our food, my toddler became upset and started crying. The OWNER approached my husband and asked him to REMOVE OUR CHILD FROM THE RESTAURANT. My husband, being the respectful person he is, complied and took her outside. At first, I was confused about why he had suddenly left until he called me and explained what the owner had told him. We had JUST received our food. At that point, I asked our server to remove the untouched items from our bill. I made it clear that I was more than willing to pay for anything we had already touched or consumed, but I was not comfortable continuing to give my business to an establishment whose owner had just asked my husband to remove our toddler. The owner then approached me, and I explained how inappropriate and upsetting I found the situation, especially considering how loud the restaurant already was. I could barely hear my own daughter over the overall noise in the restaurant. Her response was that "people were looking at me," which is why she asked my husband to take our daughter OUTSIDE. That response was extremely disappointing. She is a TODDLER. Toddlers sometimes cry. We were not allowing her to run around the restaurant, destroy anything, or behave dangerously. She was simply upset and crying. If noise was truly the issue, then why was our child singled out in an already extremely loud restaurant? What makes the experience even more uncomfortable is that we already felt we were greeted rudely by our first server. I do want to recognize the gentleman who was calling names for the tables. He was very kind and welcoming, and I appreciated his professionalism. As for the owner, I am extremely disappointed that someone who owns a restaurant would treat paying customers and their child this way. Families with young children deserve to know what kind of environment they are walking into. If children, or the normal behavior that occasionally comes with having toddlers are not welcome in your establishment, that should be clearly communicated to customers before they sit down and order food. We will not be returning, and I hope no other family is made to feel as unwelcome and embarrassed as ours was today.
