It's also a hug portion enough for me to bring half home to finish later. Highly recommend if you're on a diet and need an alternative to a breakfast burrito. Breakfast Burrito w/ Bacon 4.5/5 My girlfriend ordered this and when I took a bite it was an absolute banger. It's got every texture and flavor bomb you'd want in a breakfast burrito. Bacon is crispy, tortilla nicely toasted with a soft cheey texture, tater tots nice and fluffy with extra added crisp, house salsa delicious and cuts through the richness, mashed beans helped give a creamy earthiness and eggs were perfectly cooked. It's fire and I highly recommend fixing your cravings here. Service 4/5 Friendly staff. They serve your order to you with a number stand. But everything else is self serve from water to cleaning up after yourself. Ambience 4.5/5 Mostly outdoors. Nice and casual dining. Decorations are nice and fun for photo opportunities. Disappointing service experience! The café was very busy and street parking was difficult, with the public parking garage closed on weekends. I ordered the 16 oz cappuccino shown on the menu, but received a noticeably smaller 12 oz cup. When I asked about it, the barista explained that the cashier has two sizes and that I had apparently paid for the 12 oz. However, the menu showed only a 16 oz cappuccino at the exact price I paid. I pointed this out calmly, and the barista offered to remake it as a 16 oz, which I accepted. Unfortunately, while making the replacement, she spoke negatively to another staff member about the situation and then loudly called out, "HERE YOUR 16 OZ," which drew attention from other customers. I remained calm and simply wanted the order advertised on the menu. I like supporting local businesses, but I expect clear pricing and respectful customer service. Came here on a Tuesday for lunch around 11:50am. We had to circle around a bit to find parking on the street since there's no designated parking lot. It wasn't busy much since there wasn't a line but a few tables were waiting for their food before us. I had the BLTA and it was DELICIOUS. I love the bread it comes with. The top is a bit crispier and the bottom bum is softer. The sandwich was fresh. I love the taste, still thinking of the next time I'll return to eat it. Water is in a dispenser inside and doesn't come with ice. You will need to let the front cashier know if you want ice. I feel like they should just put ice in the dispenser. I have seen multiple social media post and have been wanting to go to the tree house Café. I went on Saturday around 4:30. The service was great very friendly. The ambience and outdoor seating is amazing. I loved how it had tables in areas and then another set of tables in a different area. It gives the feeling of not crowded, but there were several people there pre-A's game. It is so close to Old Sac but I think it gets overlooked. It's a definite must try. Came here the other day. Usually they put cucumbers on their avocado toast and pickled onions. I asked for tomatoes and an egg ontop instead. My egg was fried which I was disappointed bc I thought they were gonna give it to me how I've always seen it sold at places (runny in the middle) so might've been miscommunication from me and my cashier. I was kind of upset bc I don't like fried eggs so I spent extra for the egg just to end up throwing it away smh. I also thought the tomato was going to the little baby tomatoes as soon on the photos here on Yelp but it was just sliced big pieces. This is my second time writing about this business because with there being so many places to grab a drink or quick bite, this spot is still easily in my top 10. I've come here to hang out with friends, do homework, sit by myself and enjoy my own company, or even just grab something to go, and the consistency of enjoying this place has never changed. The customer service is always friendly and welcoming, the atmosphere is relaxing without feeling overwhelmingly busy, and the food always tastes fresh and good quality. I honestly haven't experimented too much with the drink menu yet, but my favorite part of this entire spot is the little backyard vibe. I can't fully explain it, but it genuinely feels like sitting in the backyard of a friend's house enjoying a home cooked meal and a good drink. I've been here during different seasons too, and somehow the outdoor space is always enjoyable whether it's gloomy and sprinkling or hot and sunny. Between the plants, shaded spots, open space, and even the cat I've seen around sometimes, there's just something very calming and settled about it. As a student, I also appreciate the free Wi Fi and that you never feel rushed to leave, but at the same time service is still quick and efficient. House smoked chicken on a perfect baguette (crisp and crunchy outside., tender and fluffy inside) and all the fix'ns (cukes, onions, herbs, sauce, jalapeños) were just right. My husband had the smoked pork banh mi, it was just as good. The owner was smoking a leg of lamb outside while we were there and when I asked about his smoking technique, he kindly gave me some advice and also a taste of the medium rare smoked lamb: Incredible! Tree house cafe is a wonderful little spot to get your caffeine fix or enjoy one of their many different drinks. There is no seating inside but their outdoor seating is amazing and comfortable, they have a tv for any sports so you can just relax. The service was also amazing, they were great with suggestions and just sweet. We just stopped by for coffee and I tried their mushroom coffee which was actually pretty delicious. My wife for one of their lattes and she wished it was little more flavorful but she did enjoy it overall. I want to go back and try more so it will be on our list to come back too. We arrived here around 1:30pm on Saturday and ordered immediately inside the shack. A solid cafe that I would love to return to in the summer! We stopped by one morning and found it so charming. However, there isn't much indoor seating, less than 10 seats at a window side bar. This was the better sandwich of the two. - The Surfin' Bird - I enjoyed this one but it was cold and I felt like I could have made it at home with the right ingredients. I guess that's fair to say about any sandwich though. The bread for both sandwiches were simple, torta-esque, basic bread. Go around back beyond the initial seating to the picnic tables under the trees. We watched smoky (the resident cat) chase a squirrel in the two trees above our table. I wish I had come here sooner so we could've enjoyed summer mornings here because of their beautiful outdoor seating area, but we enjoyed it just as much on a crisp fall morning with all the leaves and fruit on the trees. They have actual food here unlike some cafes so I liked that we could have a full breakfast here - we even had leftovers! The quesadilla with pork shoulder was my favorite, which was the special of the day. It had fresh avocado mash and pickled red onions, and it was a huge portion. The breakfast burrito was also a winner - they toast the outside so it felt more like chimichanga, but it was delicious whatever you want to call it. I was a little skeptical about the matcha but it sounded too good to resist, and it turned out to be great! The menu described it as a salted caramel matcha but didn't get too much of the salted caramel flavor, focused more on the ube cold foam which was well made! We had a "rainbow wrap" and avocado toast. A+ on the wrap, and a "B" on the toast.
