Good place! No complaints. I got the salmon toast and it was pretty small and something you can definitely make from the grocery store, but it hit the spot! Another standard breakfast place with good coffee too, so I'd come back probably!

Tiramisú

Never a fan of writing unpleasant reviews but I must say what a letdown I experienced from this location and to top it off, it was for my birthday. My girlfriend knows how much I love their tiramisu cake slices, so she decided to put in an order for a whole sheet! When I tell you guys, I was looking forward to this for weeks... just to receive this Tiramisu cake which is NOTHING compared to their in store which I've had multiple times. The cake usually comes pre sliced, with less topping and bigger portions as well. Overall, unhappy with the product and will most likely not be back to repurchase. The flavor wasn't same nor the texture, a complete let down.

So glad my friend recommended we come here. Very spacious restaurant with tasty food. The restaurant is clean, calm, and very nicely decorated. Our waitress was really nice and attentive. The music playing was perfect for the mood and overall the atmosphere was relaxing. Food wise it was tasty! I got the Alfredo pasta with chicken and a spicy watermelon margarita. The drink was good and the pasta was filling. We also tried the pecan pie, sweet and a nice dessert! Would come back to try other things.

10/10 would recommend! Great food and even better service! Love this location! Fresh ingredients and amaze selection of options!

Solely based on food, since my hubby brought back lunch for me at home. There were many items that caught my eye, but when it came to the sandwiches anything pesto is always welcome in my book ;) If there is one thing you must order from the lunch menu it's the following item: Turkey Tuscano - it has delicious roasted turkey, fresh avocado, tomatoes, lettuce, red onions, yummy provolone, creamy pesto mayo on a perfectly toasted multigrain bread. Not only is this sammie delicious but it's filling, without leaving you feel overfull! I paired my Sammie with French fries that were fried to perfecccccction! Okay, it's almost lunch time so be sure to order that Turkey Tuscano!

Stopped by Bella Bru recently and was pleasantly surprised! The ambience is great--relaxed, clean, and with just the right mix of cozy and modern. It's the kind of place you can settle into whether you're meeting a friend or just grabbing a solo bite. I had the breakfast burrito, and it definitely hit the spot. Well-seasoned, hearty, and wrapped just right--not greasy or overly stuffed like some places tend to do. You can tell they use fresh ingredients. Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that the outside umbrellas and tables looked rearranged and not put back so kind of scattered when finding a spot to sit outside. Would definitely come back!

This place is simply the greatest all around restaurant in Carmichael. I have absolutely no clue what the negative reviews on this place are talking about. The service is exceptional, the coffee is amazing and the food is fresh and always incredibly good. There isn't a bad thing on the menu and it is consistent across many years for us at this point. We've been eating here for 15 years and never once had a bad experience or had food we wouldn't order again. My favorites are the artichoke, their burger, their club sandwich, their Cobb salad, and just about anything they have in special. 10/10 would recommend. My wife had a procedure today and when she came out of anesthesia after not eating for 36 hours BELLA BRU CAFE was the place she requested to go.

Here is my two cents on the quality quantity and taste of my order. I picked up an order three bagels . They were California bagels. not New York style. Each bagel was fresh, but not so tasty . The one for onions and garlic, was more mild than should've been.. What I was really unhappy with they only gave 1 ounce of cream cheese for each bagel . 1 ounce was merely a Schmeer that would cover each side of the bagel . They should have provided 2 to 4 ounces to fully cover and taste the flavor of the cream cheese. As you shall see on the photos below . Service was adequate .

They have Sunday fun day all you can happy hour all day. . After 7pm on a Sunday they close the main dining room and open the patio and bar area. I was like what??? . Back patio - so classy, simple, fancy and such a good time to have some happy hour pizza and appetizers with friends and just catch up. . We had the mushroom pizza which was a good sharing with 4 people, so 1 PC per person was perfect on a hot day which we weren't too hungry. . The chicken arugula spinach salad with goat cheese was a special we had and found it light and refreshing on a warm evening. . Overall the service was great. I would come back and enjoy some more days in the patio here. The vibe was so relaxing. Oh and the teramisu looked so good! I think I need to come back for that slice of cake. Since I did skip it that day to he good. Hope this review helps and thanks for reading. Have a yelptastic day.

Bella Bru Cafe - sweet potato fries

Saturday, 7/06/2024 - with today being 111 degree, it was just too hot to cook. So... we went and tried Bella Bru Cafe. Address is 5038 Fair Oaks Blvd, Carmichael, CA 95608. It's located at the corner of Arden and Fair Oaks Blvd. There are other businesses in this little Plaza. Matteo's restaurant is a few doors down. Upon arrival... Pros 1) lots of parking. Nice big parking lot. 2) has indoor and outdoor seating. 3) cashier was very nice. 4) clean Cafe. The table we sat at was clean. 5) we ordered French Dip, burger, side salad and sweet potato fries. They give you a stand with a letter. Then they bring you your food. 6) foods were good. Bread was pretty thick in French Dip meal. Burger was cooked medium rare and good. 7) they had a little sports bar-ish in the back of the restaurant. 8) there were lots of goodies you can buy if you have a sweet tooth: cookies, pastries, cheese cakes, tiramisu, bread, etc. 9) there are two separate bathrooms for men or women. Clean. Cons 1) there was only one cash register opened when we arrived. So only 1 line. 2) you have to go back in that one line to wait to ask to get liquid refills. At least I did and I saw 2 other customers did too. Conclusion Cute little restaurant. I didn't like having to get back in the same ordering line just to ask for a soda refill and water refill. But foods were ok, desserts tempting (I had self control today), bathroom clean, staff nice, lots of drinks on the menu, and nice big parking lot. I liked this place. It was simple. Didn't take long to get our meals. It wasn't loud so we were able to hear each other talk.

Is this an order at the counter or at table? Im looking for a place for a large group that doesn't require separate checks so counter order would be perfect

It's counter order for both entrees, coffee and pastries.

Burgers and sandwiches are amazing, but my favorite is the quiche Lorraine which is done crepe style with smoked bacon and caramelized onions. Their soups are always so good as well. The pastry counter if filled with an assortment of fabulous deserts and pastries, from scones to tiramisu. Plenty of indoor seating and lovely patio seating as well. We came here after our 5-mile walk near the river, and this place was nearby. There were no customers dining in on a Sunday, very odd. So, we thought we've made a mistake and was about to leave, then one of the waitresses told us that they served breakfast and handed us a menu. The menu was very limited and overpriced! I ordered the lemon buttermilk pancakes with potatoes for $14!!! The menu stated 3 fluffy pancakes with housemade lemon curd with strawberries. What I got was 3 small thinly made pancakes with a tiny serving of lemon curd on the side. If you're going to serve me pancakes, I expect them to be huge and thick for that price! That one tiny strawberry I've got on top of my pancakes was a sad little touch. I expected a few strawberries like the menu stated and only got one! That was not worth my money! My friend ordered their breakfast croissant. This meal was a huge letdown! We could have had a decent breakfast someplace else.

Tucked away in the corner of a shopping center lies this gem of a cafe!…read more I met up with a friend for brunch and brought our babies along. There was lots of parking right in front of the restaurant that made getting inside super convenient. There was plenty of room for us to sit at a large table with our babies in high chairs & strollers nearby. Inside the cafe is decorated very nicely. The staff were so kind and welcoming too. I ordered a mocha and the sweet cheese crepes. My mocha was the perfect balance of sweetness and chocolatey! I savored every sip. The real star of the show though, were the crepes. They were perfectly soft but with a slight crisp on the outside just like I like them. The filling was sweet but not overly and was well balanced with the slight bitterness from the berry topping on the crepes. Overall the ambiance, food, and accessibility make this a great spot for brunch! Will definitely be coming back.

There is also a side area to eat, however there were a number of flies buzzing around, which made it unappetizing (this was kept my review from being a full five stars). The indoor area is a mix of dark woods and faux plants, which creates a relaxed atmosphere. As for the food, there was only one plant-based (vegan friendly) option for me: the cilantro lime avocado toast. This came topped with micro greens and pickled onions, and with a side of potatoes. The portions were very generous for the price and the food was delicious. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time and the staff were kind. I also ordered an Americano that was good. This spot is like a little hidden green jewel in Citrus Heights. I hope more businesses fill out this complex so they can continue to do well.

I mentioned Fair Oaks Brew Pub as an option I found on Yelp &, as a local, he said it was a great choice. We almost immediately scored street parking only a few doors down. I'd never been to Old Fair Oaks Village before. Looking around, the little town center was more reminiscent of a historic gold country town up in the foothills than Sacramento suburban sprawl. The cutesy charm of the surroundings extended to Fair Oaks Brew Pub itself. Greeted as soon as we walked up, we chose to sit out in their inviting patio area on a perfect Spring day. Our server was along shortly. She was friendly, helpful, & the right amount of attentive. For brew pub fare, we both chose the Risky Burger. Essentially a Western bacon BBQ variation of their regular cheeseburger. Sides were upgraded to onion rings. For the brew, I got their Chicken Foot Pale Ale. Everything was up before long. The Risky Burger was outstanding. Crispy bacon, tasty onion rings (in the burger, as well as on the side), gooey melted cheese, & a perfectly cooked patty just juicy enough to turn the last bite or 2 of the whole burger into a bit of a mess. The Chicken Foot Pale Ale was decent for style, though a little old school in terms of recipe/ malts/ hops. Still, a refreshing pairing for the Risky Burger. All in all, Fair Oaks Brew Pub was a great spot to grab a bite & a beer in an unexpectedly scenic pocket of suburbia.

We weren't asked if we needed refills, how our food was, or if everything came out correctly. At one point, I had to get up and go to the bar myself just to order another drink, which definitely took away from the overall experience. It felt like we were completely forgotten. The atmosphere and food may have potential, but the lack of attentive service made it hard to fully enjoy our visit. Hoping this was just an off night, but it wasn't a great experience.

This time started off a little rough, but in the end they made it right, which is why I'm writing this review. I placed a to-go order for steak, shrimp, and chicken fajitas. The order was repeated back to me correctly when I called it in. When I arrived to pick it up, the restaurant was extremely busy and the staff was clearly focused on serving the diners inside first, so my order took about an extra 25 minutes. Not ideal, but understandable given how packed the restaurant was. Unfortunately, when we got home and opened the bag, the fajitas only contained steak -- there was no chicken or shrimp included. I called the restaurant and spoke with the manager to explain what happened. At first there was some back-and-forth about possible solutions, including bringing the food back or only replacing part of the order. My husband had already started eating because he was hungry, so returning the food wasn't really practical. To the manager's credit, she took the situation seriously and actually called the owner at home to explain what had happened. Shortly afterward she called me back and let me know the owner approved remaking the entire order correctly at no additional cost. That completely changed the experience. For me, good customer service isn't about the money -- it's about making things right when a mistake happens. Once they stepped in and corrected the situation, it showed they value their customers and their reputation. Mistakes happen at every restaurant, especially when things are busy. What matters is how a business responds. Cantina Azteca ultimately did the right thing, and because of that we will absolutely continue to come back. Thank you to the manager and owner for making it right.
