The varied menu and the price point were just right. You pick up a cafeteria tray and point to what you'd like. I opted for the 6 item veggie plate. Portions were very filling! I tried a rocket salad, pita bread, beet salad, lentil soup, hummus and chickpea salad. In other words, a feast!! The food was very good. I also opted for a Diet Pepsi and a baklava. The salads were crispy and delicious - I loved the vinaigrette dressing which was perfectly tart. I wish I'd tried the coffee with my dessert - the baklava was a bit dry. I wish they'd opened a private side room for our party. Our table felt a bit cramped and it was a challenge to scoot into the very long booth seat which was closed off where they pushed tables together. On the whole, a really nice place and I'd definitely return!

We also couldn't resist the baklava, which tasted wonderfully authentic and was the perfect sweet ending to the meal. Beyond the food, we love the down-to-earth atmosphere and the fact that it's family-owned. You can tell there's a lot of pride and care put into both the food and the customer experience. Our usual move is the 4-person combo for the family, or the Iraqi-style meal that comes with that MASSIVE Iraqi bread -- seriously, the bread deserves its own table. In my opinion, Fattoush is easily one of the best Mediterranean restaurants in all of North Texas. Recently, they added pizza to the menu, and we usually get the chicken + beef shawarma combo pizza. But today... fate intervened. They didn't have our usual meats available, so I asked the server, "Can you substitute the meat with lamb kebab?" And OH. MY. GOODNESS. LAMB. KEBAB. PIZZA. This may legitimately be the best thing I've eaten here in four years -- and that is saying A LOT. Add some fresh white onion and a little of their garlic sauce, and it is absolutely MAGNIFICENT. Technically, it's off-menu and there's an extra charge for the lamb, which I was more than happy to pay. Zero regrets. Fattoush, PLEASE make this a permanent menu item. Also, my name is Jay, so if you want to call it "The Jay Special," I'm completely fine with that. No royalties necessary. Until then, just ask for the lamb kebab pizza, add onion and garlic sauce, and thank me later.
