The woman took her time, looked at everything, had me try on the dress and knew exactly what bothered me about the fit before I said anything. The best part is that she promised to have it ready the next day. I dropped it off on a Thursday and the event is Saturday, so I wanted to play it safe and have it by Friday. I'm very happy and grateful that she was able to accommodate me such short notice. 4 stars because I haven't seen the alteration yet but I'm sure it will be fine. It wasn't anything major.

Yellowstone Laundromat does a great job laundering and also folding and stacking the clothes and linens - making it so easy to transfer to drawers and shelves. Nothing!! she didn't say nothing to them. After today, I will never come back here and I hope I'm not itching in my clothes because I don't know what was put in the washer before me. Please be careful where you wash your cloths. I will try to take a picture if possible but they keep looking around because I think they know the mats are not suppose to be in the washer. I told them that the Americans with Disabilities Act requires them to admit me with my service dog. They physically barred me from entry nonetheless, because "some of their customer" might not like it. If you are a person with a disability who has a similar experience with Family Laundromat, please leave a record of it here so that others can establish a pattern of behavior. Business owners like this feel free to flaunt the law because the supposed watchdog agencies will do nothing, even when you file a well-documented complaint. Also, if you are a disabled person trying to establish a pattern of behavior, feel free to reach out and I will happily support you by attesting to my similar experience. Thirdly, whether you are a disabled person or not, please consider whether the actions on the part of Family Laundromat reflect your values. If not, consider frequenting a business that does. Nothing changes until people join together to insist on it. No one else is going to protect us from discrimination and illegal exclusion that makes an already challenging life even more difficult. I said for $80 I would have to check with my job since the jacket might not have cost that much. My boss said ok, so I went back. Now they said $100. I told them I was told $80, so they said ok. Then the guy at the front desk told me that since it was a work jacket it would have to be cleaned. The jacket WAS clean. I barely wore it and when I did, it was only when I drive. There was nothing dirty about it. You can't replace a zipper without a clean jacket being washed first? Now I have to go home and wash a clean jacket and go back again? Give me a break. Many other places to go. I won't be going back there. Update: I went to the tailor on 33rd and Francis Lewis Blvd....they charged me $35 and didn't need to wash a clean jacket.

They have a good understanding of the work, and honestly will tell you if they can or cannot get a stain out. Even if they tell you they can't get it out, they will try their best. I have a white trench coat that I love, and while they couldn't completely get it out, they got most of it out to the point where it is hardly noticeable. The sweet woman who showed me how hard they tried was genuinely sorry she couldn't get it out all the way. I was still pretty happy. I am so glad there is an honest dry cleaning business that actually cares about their customers and their work in the neighborhood. I highly recommend this place.
