The old owners would be a 5/5, but the new owner, Gary, should be ashamed of himself…read more It is so not like me to post something like this, but I am so angry and don't want Syosset Cleaners in the shopping center off of Jericho Turnpike to ruin someone else's clothes and not stand by their mistake. Oh how I miss the old owner Sue! I brought in a pair of purple pants to be cleaned. When I picked them up, they were an entirely different color. Obviously something happened when cleaning them. I called the manufacture and they said that it has never happened before, and said that the cleaners should make good on the mistake. I brought the pants back to Syosset Cleaners, and showed them. Gary said to let him clean them again, and that he would call me after to discuss. He never called. I just went to check in, and the lovely lady who works there did not know what to do. The pants were still a different color. She called Gary's cell and sent a picture. I then spoke to Gary who would not admit the error in cleaning and would not make good on the $310 pants and the $20 I spent to have them cleaned. Nor would he give me a receipt as proof of the two times they were cleaned (I can't find my original receipt, but saw it on their computer.) First, he claimed that they were a different color bc they were dirty - which they weren't as he just cleaned them for the second time. At that point I stormed out, after I INSTISTED that he give me the ruined pants which at first he wouldn't do and had put them in the back. I will now deal with the Nassau County Department of Consumer Affairs and the Better Business Bureau. I hope $330 was worth it to a newly owned local business. Again, oh how I miss the old owners. This never would have happened with them! I have been using them for over 20 years - they were the ones with the good reviews, not the new owners.

WARNING: DESTROYED A HIGH-END PRODUCT: read below…read more This cleaning service has had my Paris-bought cashmere sweater for over 6 weeks now! I'm not pleased at all. They originally said they could clean a 1/16 inch coffee stain. Then they informed my husband that damage occurred due to 'moths' . They said they could attempt to fix it or return it. They have had my item over 6 weeks and I'm still waiting....please respond, resolve and return my sweater immediately!!! Fixed or damaged at this point!!! 3pm approx same day. Spoke with the very cagey owner who likes to record messages, I suppose to 'save' being sued. By the way, I did not give permission to record our conversation. After 30 years in the Fashion Insustry and the ability to sew couture... yes ...I won my Green Card on being exceptionally talented in this field, I think , I'm more than qualified to say, I could have done the job myself, in a mili- fraction of the time. Let's see what I receive... when the owner decides to release my Sweater-in-captive! Now may I add, if the owner does not wish to send back my item because my husband brought the item in, what does that say about discrimination? Once I receive and exam it, I will post my final review and picture of the workmanship... here's hoping ... 9pm Thursday 6/5/25 It's taken me over 24 hours to come around after receiving the appalling destruction of my Tara Jarmon baby pink cashmere sweater. What was handed to this business was an immaculate French cashmere sweater with a 1/16th of an inch coffee spec. What I received back was a hole infested mess! See photos below, they speak volume. NEW OWNER, WATCH OUT!…read more I called and got Elio. Seemed nice, and the reviews here were good (Now I see most are old), so I had him pick up. He said "the driver, Mike" will call to arrange pick up. He called a few minutes later, I told him to knock/ring and I'll get him the bags. I brought two of the three bags out and popped back inside to grab a third. When I came back, the bags were gone. No knock/ring or "hey, can I take these?" Nothing, just gone. Then 2 minutes later I get a text from some other named laundry company, telling me I have to Venmo or Zelle him $48. WHAT???? He hadn't even had time to weigh the bags. I had spoken on the phone to TWO men. They said nothing of any of this. They were changing the terms of the agreement. I called Elio on the store phone line, or so I thought. He then told me he sold the company to Mike the driver, and deal with him. He said that he is just doing the laundry work for Mike, but it's Mike's company now. Then he told me he isn't in the store, or even in the state. I tell him I don't like deal being changed, and I don't have their payment methods, and to just bring the bags back. He told me I will have to PAY THEIR MINIMUM, $25 to get my clothing back!!!!! When I objected, he started mouthing off to me. I hung up and called the local Police, who sent a car over. They took care of it. The infractions were clear: - They took the bags without notice (not even all the bags I had) - They changed the agreement after the fact. - They tried to create an illegal bailment with my property. You can't make this stuff up!
