Went here as a new customer. I was greeted with with very friendly service, the lady was very helpful in providing suggestions and also gave me a new customer discount. I was not impressed with the way my clothes were pressed or given back to me. They were not as crisp as I am used to receiving and were just all lightly folded over each other. I brought a work jacket in to replace a plastic zipper that broke with a metal one. I was told $80. I thought that was a bit much for a zipper, but whatever. I said for $80 I would have to check with my job since the jacket might not have cost that much. My boss said ok, so I went back. Now they said $100. I told them I was told $80, so they said ok. Then the guy at the front desk told me that since it was a work jacket it would have to be cleaned. The jacket WAS clean. I barely wore it and when I did, it was only when I drive. There was nothing dirty about it. You can't replace a zipper without a clean jacket being washed first? Now I have to go home and wash a clean jacket and go back again? Give me a break. Many other places to go. I won't be going back there. Update: I went to the tailor on 33rd and Francis Lewis Blvd....they charged me $35 and didn't need to wash a clean jacket. read more

The dress was completely ruined while at this dry cleaner and not only did they not offer any type of compensation they also were very rude and refused to apologize for their mistake. i spilled a whole freaking cup of coffee into my LV leather bag.. which also soaked my black blazer. The spill was so bad, I had coffee freaking leaking from the bottom of the bag!!!! I was a little scared that the cleaning would ruin my leather... luckily when I went to pick up my stuff, the LV was safe. It was clean thank the heavens... I've been a frequent customer after my previous dry cleaners closed. The guy behind the counter was never friendly but I could overlook that because they did a reasonable job. That changed on my last visit. I came in to have a pair of pants hemmed. I tried them on and the tailor pinned them and I. paid up front. i picked them up but when I put them on a few days later they were never hemmed. When I brought them back he looked in the computer and said I haven't had anything hemmed in 3 months. I told him that can't be I was here 2 weeks ago to have them hemmed. After about 5 minutes of back and forth he finally admits the pants were dry cleaned 2 weeks ago not hemmed and someone put it in wrong. He proceeds to tell me I should have checked my receipt and I only paid for the dry cleaning. I didn't ask for, I understand that people make mistakes but he was totally unapologetic and tried to blame me for their error! They ve lost a customer. read more

I recently purchased a dress to wear for my engagement photos, and when it came and I tried it on, it was a little too long and a bit big on certain parts of my body. I definitely could have used a size down, but this was the only size available. I was nervous to take the dress to get altered, in fear of it getting ruined and not having something for my photo shoot, but I went with my gut and tried Romanos. I am so happy that I did! I brought the dress in on a Thursday afternoon and the woman who was going to do the alterations was very attentive and helpful. She knew exactly where to pin the dress to make it look perfect. I was a little worried about the hem being too short, but she kept telling me that it would be fine and she wouldn't go too short. When I picked the dress up on Tuesday and tried it on, it was perfect!! Such a better fit and the perfect length. I can't wait to wear it today for my engagement pictures! Came here with an emergency. I purchased an outfit that was a little too big..I explained to them that I needed the outfit taken in a bit, but that I needed it the next day. They were able to do it for me and I was super excited. When I tried the outfit on after the tailor worked on it it fit perfect. I would definitely recommend this place for your tailor needs. I have used so many dry cleaner services in the past but was always frustrated with their house and how long the service took. I recently moved to the neighborhood and was recommended to the cleaners by one of my new neighbors. I was hesitant to take my clothes to a new place; I walked in and met one of the guys behind the counter Danny. I explained to him I was new to the neighborhood and first time there. I brought in 3 shirts, a cocktail dress and a winter coat. He was super friendly and welcomed me to the neighborhood. He asked when I needed the items returned by and I said the shirts as fast as possible but everything else wasn't a rush. He said he would be able to get me everything back by the end of the week( I was pleasantly surprised as the coat took some work). They were able to get everything done to me so fast. When I asked Danny how much I was pleasantly surprised how reasonable and fair there costing was. (Was less expensive than what I have paid in the past). When I came to pick up the dry cleaning I was running behind; I called them to make sure they were still open and Frank said he would wait till I arrived after work. Which I thought was super generous that he didn't say come tomorrow; he waited until I got there. I couldn't have had a better experience and have been coming back every since. Every one I interact with is beyond friendly. They truly are a " neighborhood" cleaners and I couldn't recommend them more! One star only because the shirts did come out nice and they were cheap.. The other 4 were removed due to the troll looking lady at the counter with the nasty attitude.. I was running errands and the cleaners was on my way home, I stopped in to see if my clothes might be ready early.. She looks at the ticket and gives a nasty response "ok, these will be ready AFTER 5" and hands me back my ticket without even checking.. For reference- I go to the cleaners down utopia all the time and figured I'd try Romano again (after a similar bad experience years ago) and guess what?? My clothes are always ready earlier than promised.. So Romano's- I gave you a second chance and you blew it.. So I left, and then turned around because that didn't sit right with me.. I went back in and saw the older gentleman with the white hair and he actually checked on the status for me- went in the back and came to report that they were in cue to be laundered/pressed.. So I came here looking for a discounted cleaners. They do offer 20% on Wed. to Seniors. I did try others in the neighborhood and this is the best for the buck. SO FAR. They have parking and as long as U let them know U are going in to DD, or pizza For a Moment, they are O.K with that. Their Cleaning is good so far and I have no complaints. I had sewing on two dresses and jeans that needed to be done, which I thought would be a challenge, but clearly it wasn't for Romano Cleaners. Whoever does their sewing is amazingly talented.
