World famous Mac and Cheese! Located in Pike Place Market! Lines are definitely long and recommended from You Tube reviews. It did not disappoint. I ordered a cup of cheesy Mac and cheese and a grilled cheese sandwich. This was enough to feed my hubby and I and the Mac and cheese did not disappoint. Now the grilled cheese sandwich fell short to me, I think the bread was too thick for the amount of cheese that is spread. It wasn't bad it just wasn't great and for the price it should be great each and every time. There is a factory right in store where you can watch the cheese being grated as you wait for your order being prepared. Sandwiches, soups , beverages, chips, souvenirs are sold here. Small area with limited seating. Staff were friendly. read more

We were so excited to try the " world's best Mac and cheese". When we arrived we ordered a salmon Mac and cheese. As soon as we tasted it we had no choice but to return it as it was extremely spicy. We ended up being able to exchange it for a regular Mac and cheese. We had made sure this version had zero spice by asking the cashier and double checking the menu. As soon as we received our regular Mac and cheese we saw tiny red specks, we soon found out these were jalapeños. Both Mac and cheeses were bland which we assume is why they needed to add in the jalapeño kick. In addition to this, the sauce tasted old and was very overly liquidly. We won't be coming back here. Such a disappointment. read more

Hands down, this was the best damn grilled cheese I've ever had--no exaggeration. Beecher's Handmade Cheese absolutely blew me away. The sandwich was perfectly crisp on the outside, gooey and rich on the inside, and bursting with flavor in every single bite. And the macaroni and cheese? Unreal. Creamy, cheesy perfection that made me consider ordering a second round (no shame). What made the whole experience even better was getting to watch the cheese curds being made right behind the glass. Something about eating incredible cheese while watching it come to life just hit different--it was cheese lover's heaven. The staff were super kind, generous with the samples (which I obviously took full advantage of), and helped me pick out a wedge of their jerk-seasoned cheese to take home--and wow, it did not disappoint. If you're anywhere near a Beecher's, do yourself a favor and stop in. You'll leave full, happy, and probably with a bag of cheese under your arm. read more

Tried the classic Mac and cheese and it didn't have any seasoning, liquidy cheese, and overcooked noodles. The wait time was too long for a small Mac and cheese and sandwich, it had customers but the restaurant never got full or had a long line. Maybe I went on a bad day, if the cheese wasn't so watery, but creamier and combined with al dente pasta, it could be the world's best. read more

Lives up to the hype!! I stopped by on a cold rainy evening and got myself a tiny bowl of the creamiest cheesiest Mac and cheese I've ever had! Loved the melt in the mouth ooey gooeyness of the dish and I completely get the hype. I'm hoping to get some of their sandwiches next. Not a huge line on a Monday. The service is also fast. Pretty packed restaurant but the service is good and I felt like the line moved quick Salmon mac and cheese: 5/5 I love this dish but I will say it's pretty filling so sharing it with one other person was a perfect amount for me. Beecher's is always one of the places that come up for recommended food when coming to Seattle. They're known for their Mac and cheese, but my friend and I wanted to try the kimchi grilled cheese. The kimchi was a nice addition as it help cut through the cheese. We unfortunately waited a few minutes to eat it once we found a good spot, and by then, it was soggy. It was still definitely a good sandwich. I'm not sure I'd go out of the way or wait in an extra long line for it. read more

How can you not like mac & cheese? Cheese is my favorite food. Anytime I am in Seattle and at Pike Place Market, making a stop here at Beecher's is a must. Beecher's Pike Place Market is an artisan cheesemaker that got their start here at Pike Place in 2003. This location is their cheesmaker facility and has a café and retail shop. You are able watch the cheesemaking process through the window while you are here. The café serves mac & cheese, grilled cheese and other items. There is usually always a line out the building. I usually get the "World's Best" Mac and Cheese when I am here. It is so rich and creamy. I seriously can't get enough of it. I would love to take a huge to-go container of it home. Beecher's produces over 500,000 pounds of cheese annually. Their website lists their cheesemaking process and what sets it apart from other artisan cheesemakers. There are some tables in the café, but the shop itself is small. Most likely you will have to take your food with you and walk around with it. read more

Beecher's deserves all the hype if you're a mac and cheese lover, or cheese connoisseur. We arrived at 5:15pm on a Sunday (keep in mind, Pike Place closes at 6!) We waited about 10 minutes to get to the front to place our order, and they packaged our mac right in front of us from a big pot. It was steaming and it was soooo good. Keep in mind there's no seating. Don't forget to help yourself to their cheese samples, which are in the back of the restaurant. read more

We had to stop at Beecher's for the mac n cheese. Every video showing what to eat at Pike Place market shows this dish, and we quickly learned why. The storefront is appealing, with big windows to view the cheese making process. Very cool. The service was efficient and friendly. But the Mac and cheese? The star of the show. 5 stars. Excellent taste, texture, temperature. Best I've ever had by far. read more

I was excited to try this place out, but honestly it's just overpriced Mac & Cheese. There's really nothing special about this one. It's good, but not worth the price. You get to watch the workers make the cheese, the area we were eating at inside the restaurant was not clean. There were a lot of people coming in and out, but I didn't see any workers coming to clean the area afterwards. read more

ORDER mac & cheese (3/5) it was around $10 for an 8oz container of mac & cheese. it was sharp and a little grainy, but overall not bad. it came out right away and was steaming hot. you can also see them make the cheese through the window, which is cool. 10 out of 10 for service! We had just ordered the large mac & cheese, when they ran out. They scooped whatever was left into a cup for us and gave it to us for free. They let everybody else behind us. Know that it would be about 15 minutes before the next batch The mac & cheese itself is very cheesy, but the flavor is pretty mild. We came here at weekday noon and there was no line. The smoked salmon mac and cheese was good with the lemon and dill cutting down on the richness. I've seen this place online as one of the places to make sure you stop by in Seattle/ Pike Place. I usually like a good mac and cheese and was excited to see how they were freshly making the cheese in the store. The workers were also friendly and they were giving some cheese samples which were actually pretty decent. Mac and cheese - This was very disappointing. it's so bland, doesn't taste even that cheesy. the sample cheeses were way better. We didn't even finish our bowl we got to share. 1/5 read more

Located in front of Pikes Market, it gets a lot of traffic. You can see the employees make cheese throughout the day. It's pretty neat to watch as you walk by as well as from the inside of the store. They have several cheeses for sale as well as to go boxes out. Employees are welcoming. The Mac & Cheese was given right after ordering. An 8oz small is $8.99. It comes warm. I felt it was a bit sharp and gritty for my liking. Others who ordered gave it a 2-3 out of 5. The grilled cheese was $9.99. The bread was perfectly crunchy and buttery. It was ok overall in my opinion. read more

A fun spot for cheese and delicious mac & cheese in Pike Place. They have large glass windows so you can see the cheese curds being made. There are also some countertops so that you can eat while you watch the cheese making process. They sell the cheese curds in containers that you can take home, but my favorite thing to order is the mac & cheese. It's a little bit sharp, very creamy, and the pasta is cooked well/not mushy. It's definitely worth trying if you're in the area. read more

This is one of those places that lives up to the hype! Wasn't expecting too much from Mac and cheese but their special flavor was so tasty not to pass up. It was a salmon Mac and cheese with, dill, a little lemon and more. I loved the zestyness and the pieces of salmon with every bite of the creamy pasta. This Mac and cheese is more on the saucier creamy side but still delicious. So glad I went for it and tried this out because I would gladly order this again as a snacks. The small size was perfect, and not too filling if you wanted to try more items around the area. Inside the staff was super helpful, gave out free samples and helped me quite easily. It's a cool location to check out that's clean, and pretty spacious. Also interesting to see the big containers they use to make the cheese! Check it out for a quick grab and go food stop. read more

I love Beecher's flagship cheese by itself but in a Mac n cheese it's a bit overpowering. It's a very sharp Mac n cheese. If I'm at a Beecher's I usually get a grab and go salad or wrap, or a grilled turkey/cheese sandwich. This location in particular is of course busy but being able to see the cheese prepared is a plus. Prices are a bit pricey but you do get quality and that matters. read more

I absolutely loved this place, from the ambiance up until the food! They have a really cool interior window that shows the cheese making process in action, so when you walk in you can see how it's made. They also had some samples of cheese, which I loved. I ordered their Mac and cheese, and it was one of the best I have ever had. The cheese itself is so good that it elevates the mac and cheese so much. It's pretty simple but amazing. Food: 8oz Mac n Cheese Price: $8.99 Overall: Came for the one thing and only one thing: the Mac N Cheese. The workers there were very nice and customer service was on-point. Upon eating the Mac N Cheese; there is not really a "wow" factor with this but I have to admit that the cheese sauce caught me off-guard as I would think that it would be much heavy but it was quite the opposite. The sauce was also liquidy as opposed to it being thick. If this is something you like, definitely give it a try! read more

Beecher's was hands down the best foodie spot that I tried during my weekend stay in Seattle! My best friend from college recommended this spot, and I'm so glad that she did. I came on a Sunday morning before my flight home, and I was so impressed with this Pike Place gem. Beecher's is located on the corner of Pike Place, and they have a warm and welcoming vibe. There was no line on Sunday morning, and staff were very helpful in assisting us. We ordered the smoked salmon Mac and cheese to share and my partner ordered a tuna melt. Besides hot and ready foods, Beecher's offers so much more. They also have a fridge of frozen meals and fresh cheese curds, which would make a great gift. The coolest part is that you can see them preparing the curds next door, and it doesn't get fresher than that. You can truly taste the difference, and I'll be dreaming of the smoked salmon Mac until my next trip! read more

This was a place I made a big priority to enjoy while I was out in Seattle this year. Anyone who knows me, knows that I LOVE my mac and cheese! I am a lifelong lover of the dish! :) We happened by here shortly after opening on a Wednesday morning and were pleasantly greeted with NO LINE! Sweet! We decided to try the 16 ounce "World's Best Mac and Cheese", which was $13.99 plus tax and tip. Just to get straight to the point: the mac was incredible! So creamy and full of flavor! I'm talking eyes-rolling-to-the-back-of-your-head-organically-while-eating-it. lol You know. :) THAT good! There is no dedicated space to sit down and eat here, so it's a takeout situation. Lucky for us, our hotel was a 5-minute walk away. The space did look very nice and clean, for what it's worth. After the price with tip and tax, it was almost $18 for a 16-ounce cup of mac and cheese. Understanding the touristy area I am in, that still felt a bit high. Luckily, it was insanely good and I'm so glad I got to enjoy their luscious mac and cheese! lol 4 solid stars! read more

The first stop on our tour around eating in Pike's Place! We went when they opened at 9 am, ordered our item and got our mac and cheese immediately. There isn't any seating inside but some tables on the side where you can eat while watching their cheese maker machines at work. World's Best Mac and Cheese, 8 oz - I always get this one because it is truly a classic. It was piping hot, so comforting for a cold day, and the cheese melted perfectly over the noodles. The cheese itself was so rich with a slight sweetness and nuttiness. Even with the 8 oz, it was pretty filling because of the creaminess and richness of the dish. Highly recommend trying it when you're in Pike's Place and I am looking forward to trying some of their sandwiches or soups next time too. read more

The Mac and Cheese was everything I hoped it would be. Literally, the best. Grilled cheese was good, but could have used more substance.

What can I say? This place was a disappointment despite all the hype on social media. It was my first time visiting Seattle, and I figured I'd try one of the spots that every tourist seems to recommend. Unfortunately, that turned out to be a mistake. The mac and cheese was underwhelming, and the grilled cheese wasn't much better. The best part of the sandwich was the bread itself. We also picked up a couple of bags of their crackers, which were decent but nothing special. If you're really curious, it may be worth trying once just to see what the buzz is about. For me, though, it wasn't worth the money, and I wouldn't go back. read more
