    Turkey and cheese

My husband and I have been to Beechers in Seattle, so I was thrilled to see they had an airport location! Touch screens for which ordering, food came out fast, and it was situated in the cafeteria for open seating. Quality - just so darn good. Totally grab a grilled cheese, or mac n cheese!!

The first time I had Beecher's was in Seattle and was surprised to see one at MDW! I didn't have high expectations so wasn't surprised that the food wasn't as spectacular as the one in Seattle. What I ordered: - World's Best Mac & Cheese: I got a small and this was good, pretty filling. I think the cheese was a bit undercooked and had an odd grainy aftertaste. - Fig & Cheese Sandwich: Very sweet from the figs! This was also a bit undercooked, the cheese was not fully melted so it was like eating chunks of cheese with figs.

Not too bad for a 5:45 breakfast. If I'm being honest I wanted a breakfast burrito across the food hall but I thought they were closed. The sandwich was pretty decent - the bread was toasted nicely and reminded me of a grilled cheese. The Chipolte mayo was a nice addition to the sandwich overall. I also got an iced late with caramel - though the touch screen to order it was a little confusing so I accidentally got skim instead of regular milk - it was definitely better than Einstein's which I had a few days ago.

no complaints as far as airport food goes. in fact the grilled cheese was nice and smokey (though a bit too soggy) and the tomato soup was a tangy savory affair. fast service!

Ordered a small mac and cheese and the container was just over half full. Disappointing. The other location I've been to in Seattle always fills up the entire container

I had a pretty rotten night and was stuck at the airport since my flight was cancelled due to the heavy storm. I wasn't the happiest camper, but encountering the friendly and bubbly Melinda really lifted my mood! While she was making my oat milk hazelnut latte, we talked and she really did brighten my morning! Felece worked on my sandwich (chicken sausage, egg, and cheese on grilled sourdough) and made a really yummy sandwich! The bread was extra crispy and delicious! The only thing I didn't like about the sandwich was the chicken sausage (it was a bit runny). I absolutely loved the tomato soup and was glad I ordered a large. I wish that I had ordered more to go! Beecher's is located inside the beautiful food court and there are plenty of tables with outlets for charging your devices.

While I was excited to see Beecher's cheese at Midway and ordered fig + grilled cheese sandwich to go, only come to find out later on the plane that the bread to so burnt and not quite edible. Very disappointed!

The smoked turkey sandwich - was served very hot.

Update - We ate here again on August 7th, 2024, on our way to grab a Southwest flight to Providence RI. We ordered at the kiosk -my wife ordered a Chicken Sausage Egg & Cheese breakfast sandwich, and I ordered their Smoked Turkey panini. Service was fairly fast - it took around 7 minutes for the food to come out - enough for me to go to another place for a Coke. This is in Midway airport, which honestly has bathrooms that look pretty crappy when you compare them to TF Green Airport in Providence, so ambiance wise, it was just okay in the eating area. There were enough chairs, but the trash cans seemed full. The counter staff was helpful.

    Where's the cheese????

I think this was the worst grilled cheese sandwich I have ever eaten. When I think of what I paid and how long I waited for it, it makes it that much worse. Hardly any cheese on it and the bread was greasy and not well toasted. Avoid this place!!

We split their classic grilled cheese and the TBB and they were both nothing short of phenomenal. The grilled cheese comes with tomato soup which was delicious, and you're able to choose a side for all their sandwich options (we chose arugula salad, which was perfectly lemony). My one and only suggestion would be to offer a toasted option for the TBB sandwich, but it was also truly great as is - I would definitely get both again! I should preface that the lady I initially encountered at the Streeterville market (a few years ago) had always been great-- offering tastings, friendly and answered my questions, which is how I was hooked to a couple of their cheeses (by tasting and purchasing,) along with the friendly service I received. The staff at the Daley Plaza market is a different story. They genuinely seem bothered by anyone asking any questions or by anyone asking for tasting samples. And, on more than one occasion, I have witnessed them be downright rude/hostile toward seemingly well meaning customers asking about tastings or inquiries regarding a potential purchase (these inquires were nothing out of the ordinary, with the cheese(s) in question already open and unwrapped with little to no traffic behind). There is a very strange and irritated way of interacting with other humans at this stand. On another similar occasion, I witnessed a staff have a meltdown in front of me-- seemed angry/agitated and just stopped making eye contact/engaging, and then completely shut down. ?? I also e-mailed them about their general taste tasting policy and never heard back. They may just not care about long-term customer retention or relations. If you don't care about the treatment you receive and are okay with buying cheeses you can't taste then this may be a good place to get some cheese you would not find at a grocery store. If you value customer service and would like to taste test some cheeses prior to purchase, then this place is a gamble (depending on who is serving you and the mood they are in that day).
