I was open to trying a new restaurant at Midway Airport named Beechers. It basically serves grilled cheese sandwiches and paninis featuring Beecher"s homemade cheese. I decided on the Flagship sandwich which is a take on the Caprese sandwich. The cheese was amazing with a nutty slightly sharp favor. A combination between a sharp cheddar and goat cheeses, smooth and creamy. But what made it a bit disappointing was the sparseness of the chopped basil. It was underwhelming and only a hint of basil was detected in maybe every other bite.. If not a whole leaf, a sprinkle of shredded basil would have provided a more satisfying and consistent flavor that I kept anticipating. Service was pleasant but there was a wait. There was only one young lady making the sandwiches. They may need another oven to speed that process up. The coffee came quickly, though. Airport area was fine. First was the tipping. I put in my own order at the kiosks, it asked at the end if I wanted to tip, no table service either, but I still always tip something. The next screen only gave 3 options, the lowest was 18% and NONE of the options were "custom". So this was off to a bad start being forced into tipping 18%. Then the workers didn't have good customer service, no eye contact or friendliness at all, it's like the know they won't likely see most people ever again being this is at an airport. My expectations were not high, but I figured a grilled cheese and fig sandwich would be hard to mess up. However, that was not the case. The sandwich was burnt and only cute through the top slice of bread so I had to use my hand to tear it apart with made the bread fall apart. I also noticed a smell when I opened the wrapper that smelled like old oil. It wasn't fried so I don't understand this, just smelled of old oil or old butter. The bag it came in was all greasy too, I forgot to take picture of that. So for $15.69 for only a grilled cheese and dog sandwich, I do not recommend. read more

First, service was prompt (order at kiosk), and food came out quickly. I ordered the quinoa bowl, and that was ready in mere moments. The latte from Vita coffee which is connected to Beecher's was made quickly and met expectations. So service was fine. It's an airport so I had no expectations about ambiance. Eat at the gate, no worries. Food was disappointing. About the quinoa bowl...it was indeed quinoa - nicely spicy, more than I anticipated but welcome flavor. It was also quite warm, which I appreciated. However. There were only a few additions ingredients: some bits of arugula, what appeared to be finely diced peppers, and as I stirred things up with some vigor, I found a piece of egg! But wait. It was actually a fragment of premixed liquid egg. So they cooked the egg mix, and added maybe a couple tablespoons of it to the bowl. Conservatively estimating, those pieces of egg added up to less than half a hard-boiled egg...maybe. For $12.99 I'd hoped for at least a couple eggs on top of that heaping portion of quinoa. I'll suggest if you're looking for GF with protein you try another place. read more

And I expected a little more from beechers too. You order from the screen then they call it out. My receipt never printed so I didn't know my order number and had to ask haha. Also it let me order milk for my son but then they said they didn't have any. They were able to get us just a cup of milk though. The latte wasn't the worst I've had, I got a decaf vanilla latte, iced, but it was pretty watered down. The grilled cheese I got wasn't particularly warm and was kinda chewy. It wasn't terrible but like wasn't great. Overall not the worst option but probably better off stopping somewhere else in the airport. read more

I got the quinoa bowl with chicken for $12.79. I asked the server if she was sure it was gluten free and she said she didn't know. I took a leap of faith and purchased it. It was a pretty tiny cup with little to no chicken in it. It was ok but ridiculously over priced. I would give it a 2 stars but I appreciated the gluten free options. Wow... I'm floored by Beecher's Mac n cheese. I was staving after getting off the plane, and decided I wanted to try Beecher's. I' very picky when it come to mac b cheese, but this one is great. It's cheesy and spicy, and it comes out nice and hot! The cheese isn't separating, as they do at some places. But it can feel a little grainy, but that's nothing compared to the flavor. The flavor is delicious! Now that I know about this place I'm going to get it more often. The only reason I deducted a star was because of the wait time. There was only one guy working. Been to the original and was surprised to see a location out here. Flight was delayed and had to get some snacks. Ordering was simple using the kiosk. The only thing I had to order was a banana for my kid who insisted on having one. Got a Caesar salad, grilled cheese, and mac and cheese plus the banana. Mac and cheese was finished first. Both kids ate it. Can't complain. Little one ate half the grilled cheese and enjoyed it. I had the salad. The cheese amount was great. The croutons were not crunchy but that was expected. Beecher's is 0/2 and I will not be back. First time I ordered Mac and Cheese and a Coffee. After ~30 minutes I had to ditch waiting for it to get on a flight with no food or drink. Second time I visited I tried ordering on the Kiosk in the morning. Most of the food items on the menu weren't available for selection including their breakfast foods. I selected one of the very few items available at the kiosk just to be told it wasn't available. Beechers NEEDS to get an ordering system down. Just a simple order number to yell out would go a long way. Beechers also needs make it clear what is available at what time of day. If you don't keep your kiosks updated put them out of order. I wouldn't touch this place with a 12 ft pole until they get the systems down to actually be proper place to order food from. read more

I had a pretty rotten night and was stuck at the airport since my flight was cancelled due to the heavy storm. I wasn't the happiest camper, but encountering the friendly and bubbly Melinda really lifted my mood! While she was making my oat milk hazelnut latte, we talked and she really did brighten my morning! Felece worked on my sandwich (chicken sausage, egg, and cheese on grilled sourdough) and made a really yummy sandwich! The bread was extra crispy and delicious! The only thing I didn't like about the sandwich was the chicken sausage (it was a bit runny). I absolutely loved the tomato soup and was glad I ordered a large. I wish that I had ordered more to go! Update - We ate here again on August 7th, 2024, on our way to grab a Southwest flight to Providence RI. We ordered at the kiosk -my wife ordered a Chicken Sausage Egg & Cheese breakfast sandwich, and I ordered their Smoked Turkey panini. Service was fairly fast - it took around 7 minutes for the food to come out - enough for me to go to another place for a Coke. This is in Midway airport, which honestly has bathrooms that look pretty crappy when you compare them to TF Green Airport in Providence, so ambiance wise, it was just okay in the eating area. There were enough chairs, but the trash cans seemed full. The counter staff was helpful. read more

I js wanted a soup and this is the only place that's has like soup soup in the airport (that's crazy). So I got the tomato soup and it's pretty good (like I've had better soup out there but for the airport it's good). The waitress was super nice (and pretty).
