Wow... I'm floored by Beecher's Mac n cheese. I was staving after getting off the plane, and decided I wanted to try Beecher's. I' very picky when it come to mac b cheese, but this one is great. It's cheesy and spicy, and it comes out nice and hot! The cheese isn't separating, as they do at some places. But it can feel a little grainy, but that's nothing compared to the flavor. The flavor is delicious! Now that I know about this place I'm going to get it more often. The only reason I deducted a star was because of the wait time. There was only one guy working. I felt badly for him. How could you staff one person during the holidays? I used to work in a restaurant, and I could see he had several red tickets- red being long wait time. Breakfast at 6AM at Chicago Midway Airport. Originated in Seattle and located at several Airport Cafes CA, UT, NJ, NY, IL, and of course WA. The sourdough sandwiches with their namesake cheese on the menu seemed like good choices. I chose one with egg. Hubby got the chicken and mama lil's peppers sandwich. I'm guessing the original location in WA state is wayy better. These sandwiches were alright, not outstanding and just good to have something in the tummy before flying. Been to the original and was surprised to see a location out here. Flight was delayed and had to get some snacks. Ordering was simple using the kiosk. The only thing I had to order was a banana for my kid who insisted on having one. Got a Caesar salad, grilled cheese, and mac and cheese plus the banana. Mac and cheese was finished first. Both kids ate it. Can't complain. Little one ate half the grilled cheese and enjoyed it. I had the salad. The cheese amount was great. The croutons were not crunchy but that was expected. The first time I had Beecher's was in Seattle and was surprised to see one at MDW! I didn't have high expectations so wasn't surprised that the food wasn't as spectacular as the one in Seattle. What I ordered: - World's Best Mac & Cheese: I got a small and this was good, pretty filling. Not too bad for a 5:45 breakfast. If I'm being honest I wanted a breakfast burrito across the food hall but I thought they were closed. The sandwich was pretty decent - the bread was toasted nicely and reminded me of a grilled cheese. The Chipolte mayo was a nice addition to the sandwich overall. Was debating on eating here as I surveyed the options in the Food Court. As I was waiting in line, (which they have kiosks, but they were only showing breakfast items) I witnessed an employee behind the counter eating grapes as she was preparing food. I don't know if she was preparing her own break meal, but I was disgusted to see this and ultimately decided to eat elsewhere. I had a pretty rotten night and was stuck at the airport since my flight was cancelled due to the heavy storm. I wasn't the happiest camper, but encountering the friendly and bubbly Melinda really lifted my mood! While she was making my oat milk hazelnut latte, we talked and she really did brighten my morning! Felece worked on my sandwich (chicken sausage, egg, and cheese on grilled sourdough) and made a really yummy sandwich! The bread was extra crispy and delicious! The only thing I didn't like about the sandwich was the chicken sausage (it was a bit runny). I absolutely loved the tomato soup and was glad I ordered a large. I wish that I had ordered more to go! Update - We ate here again on August 7th, 2024, on our way to grab a Southwest flight to Providence RI. We ordered at the kiosk -my wife ordered a Chicken Sausage Egg & Cheese breakfast sandwich, and I ordered their Smoked Turkey panini. Service was fairly fast - it took around 7 minutes for the food to come out - enough for me to go to another place for a Coke. This is in Midway airport, which honestly has bathrooms that look pretty crappy when you compare them to TF Green Airport in Providence, so ambiance wise, it was just okay in the eating area. I js wanted a soup and this is the only place that's has like soup soup in the airport (that's crazy). So I got the tomato soup and it's pretty good (like I've had better soup out there but for the airport it's good). The waitress was super nice (and pretty). Absolutely the worst customer service. I was there on 10/12/2025 at 10am. The individual working the register from the start acted like she didn't want to be there. Not just with myself but with everyone she had contact with. We ordered both food and coffees under order #36. Well the staff continually used the number 36 to call out orders (I asked others around if they heard the same thing) and each time I approached to clarity I was told it was not my order. After close to 15 mins of waiting and watching others get their orders who were after me, I went to speak to the same individual who was at the register. Asking about my order she responded "give me a minute" but just continued to stand at the register. I asked to speak to the manager and she just glared at me at this point. I then began to ask for the manager 8 times ( I counted out loud with each request) to which she responded "get out of my face" within ear shot of everyone in the area and stormed back to the rear of the store. Finally two individuals came out identifying themselves as managers. Both were very cordial but had difficulties refunding my purchase as I requested. They finally gave me a receipt showing the refund to which I am grateful. Please management and leadership of your organization. Re-think who you hire or manage them closer. read more

When I went to check, they said they threw it away ages ago because I didn't come when called--a blatant lie, I was standing at the counter the entire time. They were lying to customers left and right, and just resorting to meanness when it was obvious they were just in over their heads. If you tried to ask for a refund, they bullied you and told you to leave. Just skip this place and go to Dunkin instead.
