Unlike President Obama I do not think this is a ravingly delicious must try restaurant, BUT the eclectic menu, STUNNINGLY GOOD DUCK BACON, attentive service and warm though a bit dated atmosphere, make this restaurant a place to try. I recommend the Breakfast Bowl: Potatoes, green peppers, onions, mushrooms, tomatoes, scallions, & cheddar cheese with your choice of egg. Add a side of Duck Bacon; trust me you should try this dish!

Great breakfast treat, fantastic friendly attentive service, and family style group seating. Diner seating available too! It did not disappoint! Thank you!!

Visiting from New Orleans! I was brought here by a local and appreciated the personality of the place. Service was super slow and it seemed like the owner had to come out and help as a few waiters were in training, but overall the experience was good. Good music and wasn't too busy. We ordered the bayou bowl and the catfish eggs and grits. Highlight was the catfish for me, once I requested it to be fried hard. Don't mind returning!

The poor waiter was alone and it took almost 45 minutes for food. Food was ok just ok they serve juice in bottles, I guess thats to prevent shrinkage??? maybe on a different day when I am feeling more something...

I saw Peach's featured on the news, so I've been interested in trying them for a while. I wanted more from this black-owned business in Hyde Park. I understand Peach's is a diner, so my expectations were a little laxer, but I gotta say... it was a mediocre experience. We arrived at 8:50a. It was a slow Wednesday morning, and we were seated immediately. Our food was out by 9:10a. Pros: - They have MANY peach-flavored items, including coffee! (Peach-flavored coffee sounds like a stomach ache. Haha! Just my opinion.) We went with regular black coffee! Lol! - There's hot sauce on each table! Cons: - No salt/pepper shakers on the table (they use packets). - The music is a bit too loud for my liking. If they had a full house, we would've been yelling. I get it; It's a diner. No one did anything wrong. My server was fine. My food was fine. Honestly, it was fine. And that's why I'm giving it 3 stars. MANY would love this straightforward no nonsense diner's approach. However, I didn't have or experience anything that will bring me back.

I also ordered their popular Sumac Chicken sandwich on their Dutch Crunch bread, which was really good!! It had homemade croutons and sides of bread. Got a slice of the carrot cake and it was very moist. Not too sweet with cream cheese frosting. Raisins included, if that matters to you. We got the garlic chicken on French baguette. It was a creamy base and not something I would buy again. Glad we added cheese because there wasn't much to it. the other sandwich we bought was avocado turkey on Dutch crunch. It unfortunately had enough mayo to drown the restaurant. The amount of meat left much to be desired. We asked for chips which they had but only for online orders that came in. ??? Doesn't make sense to me. For 2 Sammie's, a salad and cake it was $45, just for a gauge of prices. The cashier was on the phone the entire time and couldn't hear what we said because of that. Kinda acted inconvenienced we were talking while he was on the phone. The restaurant is pretty chill and seemed like a workspace for people with art on the walls for sale. The art also had a thick layer of dust, and overall the dining room could use a good deep clean. The bathroom cleanliness was decent. This probably won't be another place I would seek out in the future.

I decided to cross over & check out this old world Italian Deli. Conti Di Savoia is small Italian grocery store w/an Italian deli that has w/outstanding & inexpensive sandwiches. When I went in there was a line of people waiting @ the deli counter waiting to place their order. I must have looked confused because the owner directed me & told the line started on the other side towards the back of the store. What I found was an awesome of fresh handmade sandwiches for a very reasonable price. I ordered an 8" pastrami w/mozzarella cheese, shredded lettuce, tomato, red onions, mayo, & Italian oil drizzled. What I got was an awesome inexpensive sandwich loaded with/fresh ingredients. Absolutely delicious. After I got my sandwich the owner (I introduced myself (I think his name was Mike) rang up the sandwich. He said they have been there for 35 years. There's also a small dining area in the front of the store where I sat & devoured my sandwich. Like I said this is small Italian store w/a nice selection of products like meats, cheeses, pastas, wine, olive & deli items. I throughly enjoyed finding Conte Di Savoia. The pastrami sandwich was awesome w/a generous portion of pastrami & toppings for a reasonable price. I'm the type of person who who loves finding new places to eat. Most times unless I find great food & reasonable prices I won't go back but I feel like I found a real gem W/Conti Di Savoia. I WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK AGAIN.

When they closed, I never really realized I missed them. Flash forward 38 years later. Went to Rush Hospital to visit an uncle. Leaving at about lunch time, I opened my Yelp app to see what was nearby. The top spouses ad (2.7 miles away) was Ricobene's. I really wasn't aware they were even around anymore. So, for nostalgic purposes, I decided to go there. Had my mother and aunt in tow, and we were all very pleased. The breaded steak, while still maybe not the greatest thing since sliced bread, was a nice blast from the past that I really enjoyed. Would I go there again? Surely. If I were 2.7 miles away (though uncle's been released and is back home doing fine). Do wanna try their Chicken Vesuvio again one day. But 22 miles each way just for that, not.
