DO NOT STORE HERE. We had our items stored here for 4 months, just moved into our new home yesterday only to find mold on pretty much EVERYTHING when the movers were done putting everything Inside. There was also rat poop in the hallway where my unit was. My other complaints... a car was parked in a space for people going to their units for over an hour, come to find out it was the lady working in the office taking up a space I could've used for my car!! There is plenty of parking spaces in the front of the building. That is not okay. Also, my movers did their best to find a good spot to put the truck and trailer, they had left plenty of space for cars to get by in the street but an hour into them getting my stuff, the guy working there had come to argue with us about the placement of the truck and trailer claiming we didn't leave enough space ( I should've taken a picture of how much space there was.. a lot!) so they had to take time to move it and the worker said it's okay if we block people's storage units just not the street I am very disappointed and mainly very upset about the mold. All my stuff shouldn't have to be deep cleaned in my new home.

    Complaint gone unheard.

Numerous times I contacted the "establishment" about rat feces all over my personal belongings, including our queen size mattress. I personally submitted a claim and the "manager" supposedly submitted a claim but I've heard nothing. They haven't even attempted to call and schedule a time to clean it up, they're collecting insurance payment each month but won't lift a finger, make promises but won't follow through. Perhaps 7 On Your Side would like to follow up, surely I'm not the only one. I even contracted a rash on my arm when the feces fell off my property, how does management not know how toxic rodent feces is and not attempt to remedy the problem? How many times can you say there's a problem and no one lifts a finger? Perhaps some legal action will get the ball rolling?!

    5 dead rats.

TRIGGER WARNING!! This storage facility is INFESTED with rats. Please read throughly on all reviews. I can tell you that it is ALL TRUE. I occupied a storage unit on the 3RD FLOOR of this facility from October 2022-August of this year because of the horror I found in my belongings. Only 10 months! DO NOT get their insurance as rat damage is "excluded" from your policy and they will not cover anything lost. It all started after the freeze in February when my spouse and I went to the storage unit to load in some things that we needed for the summer. As we walked into the facility immediately you are hit with the smell and trace of rat urine and feces. When I brought this to the attention of the storage facility they said they are on it and had an exterminator spraying weekly and cleaning up the mess. Ok cool no biggie they are on it, no big deal right? WRONG. Fast forward to this august, when I was unloading boxes taken straight out of the unit into our new place, and when finally reaching the box to unpack it, a god awful smell of death hit my face and what is saw was 1 huge rat and two babies. But if you look closer, there are two tails tucked in the back right corner under the clothing. 5 dead rats. There was another box of king size bedding right as you opened it could smell the stench. We had nothing in our storage unit to attracts rats (mattresses, furniture, kitchen appliances, clothing) and had to discard HUNDREDS of dollars worth of belongings. I will continue to post this picture to show the monstrosity of an infestation this facility has. A climate controlled one might I add. Do better Bee Safe.

Just a couple of the rats living in my couch and recliner. There is many more.

RAT INFESTATION!!! Instead of dealing with the problem by contacting all the customers of the infestation that is on every floor, they are still moving people in so that their belongings can get rat poop and pee all over it. You can smell it right when you walk in the door. There is poop in the office, outside the office as you walk 2 steps into the storage area. Pee smell on every floor! So many people have no idea that the rats are ruining their stuff. They will not get rid of the rats until they open all the units and kill them. But that would mean they would take a huge financial hit... and everyone would pass out numbers and put a class action on this company for their ruined belongings. You can't sue for rats but you can sue for negligence. And the old lady in a wheel chair who has a unit in here said this has been going on for 3 MONTHS. MY NUMBER IS (512) 739-8888. A lawyer won't entertain just me, but they will if multiple people join the suit. They try to blame you for the problem. Talked to another guy on another floor who just moved in 3 weeks ago, said the male employee was taking pics of his vacuum sealed MRES and blaming him for the rats and peeing on all his stuff. Until the old lady spoke up and said this has been going on for 3 months did the employee get quiet. Shady business practices. These testimonies will prove negligence. Knowing of a problem for so long and not contacting everyone with their entire life of belongings Ls, and having the nerve to move people in knowing of the INFESTATION, is not AMERICAN, negligent, and morally bankrupt. Health dept, BBB, lawyers are being contacted tmrw. They asked me if I can move in to the other unit in 24 hrs, lol. Meaning they don't want to set up a plan to kill the rats in my unit. They want me to clean it out in 24 hrs and watch the 10+ rats I found living in my couch and recliner that is brand new, run into the unit next to mine, or the guy across from mine who just moved his stuff in.. these people don't care. I'm a disabled veteran. I'm moving into an apt next Friday and now have no couch for my son who's spending spring break with me in the 9th. This company is MORALLY BANKRUPT. TEXT ME. IM WELL CONNECTED TO THE ECONOMIC BOARD MEMBERS IN THESE AREAS AND have access to the health dept easily. 5127398888. I'll be posting, many people will be posting as well on this company. My son lives in NC and this company is right down the road from the airport. I'll be putting signs all over the road around this unit and be posted up with a sign outside this place and on my next visit will be doing the same. Morally bankrupt companies deserve to go financially bankrupt. Let's make it happen since it's going to be hard to sue them. Seems like a perfect business model for shady people. All my stuff smells like rat pee. Everything! So sick to my stomach seeing all my stuff ruined today. Never felt more helpless in my life before. And I talked to a lady today who pulled up and said she just spent all her money to move in here, like a $1000 since she's escaping a bad relationship. This company has no problem watching you move all your expensive, sentimental belongings knowing the rat infestation has a good chance to ruin all of it. MORALLY BANKRUPT. This building is covered in poop. Even my new unit had poop in it to the side. When they swept it out, they missed a couple pieces on the side. It's so nasty. Walk in this place and inhale the fresh rat pee smell. Then go to every floor and inhale the wall of pee on your first step out of the elevator on every floor.

This place was a nice location and was a good price. Unfortunately there was mold in our unit which forced us to move out since our business is in there! All of our high dollar furniture got ruined due to the mold and was useless. We tried to get the issue resolved before we left but there was nothing they could do. I would stay away from the lower right first floor if you don't want mold! Up to you!

    Kitchen chair ripped and torn

I Rented storage unit and was not advised of the rat infestation that was happening here even though there had been multiple customers with the facility that has made numerous complaints. Within 2 weeks of moving my stuff in, I came to grab things out and found rat poop and scratches and holes made all along my new couches that I bought less than a year ago!! IRREVERSIBLE DAMAGE Within 2weeks!! I made a complaint and sent in pictures to the office workers who sent them in to their boss and waived my unit fee. The workers advised me to file an insurance claim, which I did with the company they recommended for me when I first rented the unit ONLY TO FIND OUT they don't reimburse you for any type of infestation MAKING IT THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE STORAGE COMPANY! Now I'm out an apartments worth of items that I worked for with no way to purchase replacement for my couches, my kitchen chairs, rugs, and etc. Here are the pictures I sent in within 4 wks after I made the initial complaint. I tried to go see if I can salvage ANYTHING only to actually see rats, hear the rats, and see everything is covered in rat POOP!! This is ridiculous and I'm now in the process of continuing to see what I would have to do legally to get compensated for loss of items! It's been frustrating dealing with this

I first met with John before Christmas who showed me the facility and was so personable and energized about the place that he just made me want to belong. He showed me the security features, told me that he does a property check several times a day, showed me the type and size of unit I was interested in and thanked me for giving them an opportunity to serve me. I reserved a unit online to get the special pricing (recommended) that same day and John called me when he saw the reservation come through to make an appointment to complete the application. He again thanked me for choosing Public Storage. I went in yesterday for my appointment and met Trena the onsite manager. She was so friendly and personable and gracious, escorting me to the unit (the same 10x5 (which is shallow but wide for easier access) that John had shown me) to place my lock; showing me how to set it and make sure it was locked. When it came time to complete the application and pay she discovered that in my haste to reserve online I had inadvertently reserved a 5x10 which is deep and narrow instead. I double checked my online reservation confirmation and sure enough I had made a mistake and reserved the 5x10. She said the 10x5 would be more expensive than the one I had reserved so I went online to see if there was a 10x5 available for the special pricing; there was not. I explained that a 5x10 would not work for me because I need ready access quite often and stacking things deep in the back meant removing lots of stuff to get to the things in the back, where the shallower but wider unit would allow easier access. She spent a few minutes looking around the available units and VOILA! found one for a couple $$ LESS than the one I thought I'd reserved! She is AWESOME! This kind of personal service is missing in most businesses these days and is especially refreshing to find in my back yard. Both John and Trena exemplify Great customer service and Professionalism. If you need a storage unit in North Austin check out Public Storage; I think you'll agree!

Is this a punishment? Is the economy that horrible that you have to charge me double? I will definitely be moving to another storage as soon as I can. This is not how to keep customers and I will definitely spread the word. I can't believe this is what it has come to- greed.

Previously wrote a 5-star review for Stor Self Storage, in Pflugerville Texas, several years ago…read more Stor has continued to provide exceptional service and made several major facility upgrades. Thought it was time for a follow-up progress report. My company has been using Stor's services for more than eight years. Throughout the entire period, services have remained constant. Stor has consistently been the best overall value we've ever found, 24/365 gated access, well-lit facility, video surveillance, clean warehouse campus, and unattended package acceptance services. Since my last review, Stor just installed a high definition video surveillance system, re-striped the drives, upgraded all the lighting - both interior and exterior, added aluminum rub rails in all hallways, and purchased new carts for transporting belongings from vehicle to interior unit. Seldom do I enter the property where the staff isn't out cleaning, performing maintenance, and inspecting the property. The manager Shannon, plus her staff, are still super friendly, and still perfectly maintain the facility. Yelp needs to add more stars to their rating system for businesses like Stor.

My experience with Public Storage in Austin has been unbelievably frustrating…read more I rented a unit approximately 24 hours before my scheduled move-in. The manager called me personally, confirmed the rental, provided my access codes, and gave me my unit number. Everything appeared to be ready. When I arrived with my movers, I discovered I could not access my unit because the elevator access had been programmed for the wrong floor. This should have been a simple issue to correct. Unfortunately, there was no one on-site to help. I called the Public Storage customer service number repeatedly--at least 5 to 7 times--and left multiple urgent requests for a callback. Despite explaining that I had movers on-site and was unable to access the unit I had rented, no one responded. More than 24 hours later, I still had not heard from anyone. As a result, I was unable to move into the unit I had already paid for, while my movers stood idle at approximately $200 per hour. What should have been a routine move-in became an expensive and completely avoidable disaster. The most disappointing part wasn't the original mistake. Mistakes happen. It was the complete lack of support afterward. If someone had simply answered the phone or returned a call, the situation likely could have been resolved quickly. My takeaway is this: Public Storage was extremely responsive when I was renting the unit. Once they had my money and a problem arose, I was effectively on my own. I would strongly caution anyone considering this location to understand that there may be no on-site staff available when you need immediate assistance. If something goes wrong on move-in day, you may find yourself unable to access your unit and unable to reach anyone who can help. That's not a risk I would take again.
