I have been in construction for 20 years and have always used Bedrosians and have always recommended Bedrosians to everyone. That all changed recently when we replaced our counters. We bought Soquel Quartz counters that were beautiful. Shortly after having them installed we noticed a crack in the corner. The manager, Sergio, came out and admitted that it was a flaw in the stone and they would replace it. Then for weeks he wouldn't return our calls. Eventually we went into the store and found him there, at which point he said that it must have been our fault and they wouldn't honor the warranty. The whole experience has been awful, and very disappointing. read more

I spent 45 minutes looking at marble, granite and backsplash tile and I was the only person in the store with 4 employees. Not a single employee greeted me or even offered to help me. I asked a question about products and got a one word answer, "no". No offer of assistance, but later they were quick to announce over the loud speaker that they "were closing in 15 minutes." I'm going to get my materials elsewhere and won't bother coming back here! read more

I did not get a warm and fuzzy feeling from this place. It was as if I was bothering them. As I was being helped, another lady walked behind the counter. The lady that was helping me spoke Spanish to her. I got the feeling they were speaking about me. Probably thought I couldn't afford anything in their store because I was dressed in old clothes without makeup on. Oh yeah, I am African-American! On top of that, there was no "welcome," if you need help, please let us know!" As the old saying goes, "Don't judge a book by its cover!" Note: I went around the corner to another tile and marble company, what a huge difference! I was greeted and helped right away. They even had old samples sitting around and just gave them to me! I was even told that I could fill out a form to have a sample sent to me. Now that is what I call excellent customer service. read more

This place is overpriced and overrated. No one came to ask if we needed any help after walking around for 10 minutes or so we finally asked for help the lady acted like we where inconveniencing her by asking for help. Beware of hidden fees! Stick to Home Depot or Lowe's they have good service and you can always take stuff back if it doesn't work out. read more

Looked all over Bay area for the right granite slabs and found the best ones at Bedrosian's in Modesto. Ordered Basket Weave Mosaic tile, 6 boxes, and one of the squares had a missing stone. Went in today, Jorge was working the counter. He went out of his way looking for any extra in the store, couldn't find a tile, so took one of the small stones from a sample and gave it to me. He didn't have to do this and could have simply told me to wait for the next order from LA. Kudos for his excellent service and thinking outside the box. Tim helped extensively with the products needed for a bathroom remodel. Store was crowded, many customers, yet Tim took the time to make sure we had the right tiles and products. read more

Took in two samples of slate and even pointed out a sample on their wall. They took my order and had it shipped to me! When I get it it's not even close to what I brought them as samples. I took the tile back and the said they wouldn't exchange them. She told me in so many words you get what they give you even if they ordered the wrong slate to start with! They have no customer service at all!!!! read more

Frustrated. Paid for my tile three times over the phone with a credit card and every time my tile guy goes to pick it up they tell him not paid for. Their hours are very limited (M-F) now for people who work. Although I was able to obtain a Saturday appointment, their selection of large granite slabs is not what it used to be. over the last three months, i have been in bedrosians three times looking for a non-slick finished marble for a bathroom floor. on the first occasion, i was alone and was completely ignored, even though there were plenty of employees behind the order desk, talking to other customers in the store, and strolling around. i figured they were busy, so went back twice more with a friend. we were in the store for approximately 30 minutes each time. people who worked there walked past us and didn't acknowledge our presence. again, there were employees at the front of the store and behind the order desk. one was at the island in the sample kitchen in the center of the store, and she was later eating there with some other people. nobody even said hello or made eye contact. i found the flooring i wanted, and it was pricey, but still could not get anybody's attention let alone get help. we went up to the front and spoke with another customer who had been there waiting endlessly for some help too. i guess business for bedrosians is very good if they don't need any more from people coming in to get help with an order. read more

I went here yesterday to look at all their floor tiles because after looking all over modesto I realized that everyone else just stocks their merchandise. I figured, why not go to the source. The set up was so great and I was able to take away a lot of great ideas. I was a bit disappointed because they were sold out of one tile I liked and only had seconds (which the lady explained meant that they may have imperfections), discontinued the second tile I liked, and didn't have enough tile in stock for the third tile I liked. The staff there was really friendly and helpful though! I wasn't really expecting that either based on the Yelp reviews that I had read. Evelyn was working with me for at least 30-45 minutes. She was so great! She called to check shipments in other locations, explained differences in tile, and really helped me find what I was looking for. The other staff was helpful too! One lady even pulled up an idea concept on Houzz to show me. Evelyn's going to check on some availability and call me. I'm calling back on Thursday too, to see if they have gotten my tile (in firsts) in stock yet. **think happy thoughts** :) read more

Four stars because they only carry around 5 types of 12x12 flooring tiles, and most of their stuff is special order so that was an inconvience to us as we needed something for tomorrow. We're doing a full remodel of our master bath, and our contractor asked that we go to Bedrosian's for our shower and floor tile. Excellent choice! He said to ask for Hannah, which I did. My wife wasn't able to go, so I was on my own! Not knowing a thing of what I wanted, Hannah showed me all different kinds of samples, and gave me her opinion of what would look the best. She was very pleasant, knowledgeable and made what could have been a very stressful, intimidating experience into a great one. My contractor was right; Hannah was definitely the person to see! This is one of three stores my tiler sent me to. I spent about an hour choosing samples. I asked for seven samples to borrow. They brought me only one. They said I couldn't have a sample of granite (policy) and that the other five were out of stock. They ordered the missing five samples. I had an intuition from they way they were acting, that they weren't going to place the sample order. I'm not surprised that it's now been six weeks and I haven't heard anything. It almost felt like someone decided I wasn't a serious customer (was it because I'm an older, apparently single woman?) and therefore they wouldn't bother with me. Neither of the other two stores treated me like this. They loaned me MANY samples (including granite) without even asking for contact information. I have almost a whole house that I'm going to tile, and Bedrosian's of Modesto just lost my business. read more

As soon as you order something any customer service is over. The quartz we ordered was supposed to be ready for pick up in two business days. It took three weeks. When it finally arrived it had chips all over it. The only discount they would offer was $119 off a $4,000+ order. Upon asking if they had better slabs elsewhere I was told I would not receive my deposit back since I didn't want the damaged product. It took them two business days to give me an answer on the discount, refund and never received an answer on shipping new slabs. Repeated phone calls I was placed on hold until someone just hung up the phone. They do have the best selection of quartz slabs in the area but if you have to order, don't. read more

Mary Hale was a great help and went beyond the normal to try and find slabs of a particular design to accomplish this. She searched several of their locations by computer for the desired design and was willing to transfer in what we saw. She worked with Darrell Kaml of Specialty Tile and the finished installation is definitely a 5 star all around. Worked with Mary to select granite and tile for kitchen remodel. Large and attractive show room, and lots of granite on display. Mary was very helpful in helping us find the perfect granite and tile for counter tops and backsplash, had really good suggestions and was very knowledgeable. We were able to pick out the exact full slabs that will be used our remodel, not just a small sample of material, and reserve them by serial numbers on the slabs. She has a design background and at the end of the process solidified what we did with some color and design ideas that made it perfect. We got so much more than we expected, bathrooms and kitchen worthy of display in vendor portfolios and websites. It takes time, and she was so patient and enthusiastic. We went to this store looking for tile for our backsplash. We found two that we liked. When we asked the salesperson if we could take a sample home, he said they don't allow that particular sample to leave the store because one of the tiles on the sample might break (so they would rather lose a sale than allow a $16 sample to leave the store, with my deposit in hand?!) I asked if we could purchase a sample, but the answer was again, "no." He told us we could take a sample of a large tile in a similar color that looked nothing like a backsplash. Salesperson was rude and arrogant, and I will not be back. read more

When we ordered our backsplash stone, they wrote down the wrong number, so the wrong stone was ordered and received. Unfortunately, we were out of town when the stone as installed. The have admitted they made a mistake, and offered to replace the stone and pay for reinstallation. They are unwilling, however, to pay for the removal of the wrong stone and sheetrock repair (for $475), saying it's "their policy" not to pay for labor on a redo. Why am I having to pay $475 for their mistake? No answer other than its their policy. I would extreme caution when dealing with this company. I may need to resort to small claims court if not resolved. read more

Never purchase your tile from this company. I bought 1200 sq.ft. of tile, told Mary I would like the tile laid on the broken joint. This tile of course was for my floors. Also ordered backsplash tile for the kitchen and she said, I should lay that also on the broken joint because they needed to match. My contractor picked up and paid for the material. The tile layer laid it down. Almost complete I noticed imperfections. Tile had a lot of slippage, rabbit ears, etc. You can actually cut your barefoot on some tiles. I would say 80% of the tiles that come out of the box are not manufactured correctly. I brought this to their attention to no avail. They make all kinds of other claims so they will not be responsible. I then proceed with a demand letter still not claiming any liability. The tile was made in India! But whatever, do not purchase Bedrosians tile. Their customer service is at the bottom of the trash can!!!!! read more

My husband and I recently bought a new home that needed SIGNIFICANT updating. Neither of us have any experience with whole-home remodeling at all. We needed kitchen countertops, kitchen backsplash, fireplace stone and flooring for nearly 1000 sq feet. We wanted to make smart purchases as these are hopefully items we'll have in our home as long as we own it and are, of course, costly. I can't thank Nancy at Bedrosians enough. I must have visited the showroom at least ten times to consider different materials. She is a busy lady but always made time for me, although an appointment helps if you want her all to yourself! She was able to help me coordinate colors (also not a skill of mine) and suggested a backsplash that was a little out of my comfort zone but which my husband and I both loved immediately. The staff is helpful and welcoming. My home is gorgeous and I can't stop looking at the pictures I took (we're not yet moved in.)
