Mostly a review reflecting on the fact they don't have any mens products stocked in the same open floor plan as the women's section. Most other targets in Modesto do have the open floor section with much more products to offer men for beard, cologne, and other hygiene products. This one is incredibly sub par with long lines, self service checkouts down, and low inventory of male targeted products of worth. Only two stars because there is a Tesla/electric chargers on their lot. read more

If I could i would give Target Zero 0 Stars! I went to go and purchased a bag of 30lbs of cat food. And price match it with another store well this kid from cs said they will not price match it! Seriously it said on the app and store policies they do price match so what the hell is there problem with matching this with another competitor.The item at Target is $29.99 at the competitor store it's $28.48 , seriously Target will not and refuses to lower the price to match the other store! Beware!! Do NOT BUY A GIFT CARD! I recently purchased a gift card as a birthday present, when the card was going to be used by the person I gift it too, it had a zero balance!! When they informed me about what had happened, I was very embarrassed and wanted to go get the issue resolved. I went to the store directly, and Customer service did NOT help! They only said that I needed to call the card and deal with corporate! Corporate says you have to wait 5-7 days, and still they would have to do an investigation!! They basically stated there is little they can do! Meanwhile I was charged, and in other words STOLEN from. Plus it is embarrassing to the person that received the gift and myself. Horrible service! I spend over 2000 a month at target. I have twins all the formula, diapers, wipes, etc bought there. We usually go to the Target in Riverbank but decided to go to Sisk rd. We had a bobble formula which is $25 that ended up being the wrong formula. Never opened it and couldn't find the receipt just wanted to exchange it. The team leader Aimee said she can't return or exchange without a receipt. I know without receipt you can get a store credit but she didn't even offer that just said no she can't return it. Put aside that she was refusing to return the product the tone and attitude she gave made it an even worse experience. I had my twins in the store and I didn't have time to speak to the manager about her treatment. I overheard her telling another customer no it's past the 90 days to return again no offer on store credit, she acts like it's money coming out of her pocket. I tried calling the store to complain about her but no answer so I ended up calling corporate. If anyone needs to return in that location and you see the name tag Aimee if you don't have the receipt don't even bother. I was told by another employee to come back when she's not there or go to another target so that should say a lot about her. Just horrible business. read more

I really like this target. I prefer it over the McHenry location! When you enter target you see employees off to the left they are sanitizing carts . I love the layout of the store everything I need is easy to find. They have a Starbucks inside and a snack counter where you can get a slurpee, pizza , popcorn, or a pretzel. I love that you can order whatever you need at target and they will bring out to your car. Every employee I've encountered has been extremely nice & helpful. read more

Haven't been to this run down store in a long time. Maybe since the last review I posted and I decided to come here after waiting a long time at Best Buy . Usually go to Best Buy for any electronics needs as they price match anyone, as I wanted the, to price match Target. But, finding someone to help you at Best Buy was pretty hard so I left and came to this target Went straight to electronics and asked some questions before I asked to get some Air Pods. There was a girl working the counter and a boy putting items on shelf and as I asked for air pods, another customer asked for a Game to get out of shelf . As the lady told her she needed to help me first She said she needed to go in the back to get the air pods I waited, walked around then I come back to see her helping the lady after me, so I decided to leave. Not sure why "kids" are always hired to work at almost every store in town, as they have no sense of "customer service ethics" or "common sense?" Their forgetful, they really don't know too much about the department their even working in, and they goof off all the time. I usually look for an "adult" with experience when needing help to purchases items that are locked away. But I mean a $200 air pods aren't that important and Nothing against "kids" working these days, just prefer them either taking my order at fast food restaurants and adults cooking the food because if you ever had a good experience with "kids" with no experience helping you in a major purchase, then it's rare. Anyways, Walmart it was after I left and I'll write a review on Best Buy too . Walmart seems to have "active" employees ready to help and more alert then other stores. NEVER BUY A TARGET GIFT CARD!!!! I went to target to purchase a gift for a party but after browsing the store I decided it would be best to instead purchase a gift card. I ended up purchasing a nice birthday card with envelope and a $100 target gift card by the checkout. I dropped it in the envelope sealed it up and stored it in my vehicle. I ended up not attending the party and when I went to target decided to use the gift card. I rang everything up and tried using this gift card I purchased IN STORE but a $0 balance showed. I've been in contact for about 2 weeks with gift card services because in store they don't offer any support for THEIR GIFT CARD but NOTHING has been resolved!!! Curb side pick up needs training on covid19. I had to sternly tell them to back up. They are able to extend their arm and still scan my phone with my arm extended. She came to close. Stay 6 feet away or try or wear a mask. Review update: they all wear masks now and don't even want to scan phones anymore. I love using drive-up to get my groceries. This target is super speedy at getting my groceries to my car. Often I'll drive up and they're already there waiting for me. I will usually only put my windows down just a bit, show them my code, and they will put my stuff in my trunk. It's so convenient! read more

This one star goes out to the slow online order pick up. Came in the store and my order still was processing. Order says within 2 hours, to me that mean no more than 2 hours. Get there 10 minutes before the two hour mark and order wasn't ready. Walked over to hand pick it up myself and was now told I can't pick it up yet until the actual processing guy marks it as complete order. Sounds ridiculous right? So i was given two options to WAIT until my order was ready, I mind you i had the item at the front counter. Or cancel my order and then purchase it in stores. I could have just done that ! What's the point of online orders and easy pick up in store. I don't think I'll do any more online orders. Too long of a wait and hassle. I mind you, the manager or lead manager Kirk wasn't sympathetic or apologies for the process. He was nice but nice doesn't pay for the time being wasted waiting around for a simple pick up. I was at the store today, I was going to buy a 100 dollar toy and there was a coupon for it but my app is been giving me problems, so the First Lady (an older lady) was telling me how she could not apply it for reasons that made no sense, so she sends me to the return cashier which had the worst attitude ever about it, I was back and forth with them, then anyways I seen a manager and asked about it, she said was so nice and confirmed I have not gotten it before so she takes me to the same lady and she was like I already told her it doesn't apply, at this point I'm like ???? This target is my last choice for the ones that are in this area. I would pick the one that's littered with homeless people over this one. While this store is usually better stocked and organized the employees are the worst. They are rude when you ask for help finding something. I asked if the store carried the Makeup Geek brand and I was rudely told "nope" by a male employee. I then searched the makeup aisles for something else and guess what I found...fully stocked. Probably fully stocked because the employees don't help people find anything. Then when I was checking out there were 3 open lines with their lights on. I went to "sam's" line (her name tag was handwritten). I unloaded my entire cart onto her belt while she checked out another customer. And stood there waiting for several minutes. She turned her light off and then about 2 minutes later after she finished the lady in front of me she looked at me and said "sorry this lane is closed". I told her that the light was on when I got to her line and she just stared at me with a blank face. Uhhh ok. I moved to the line over where Lolita helped me while she trained a new employee. They were nice but I was frustrated at this point. This is awful customer service. The main manager is always nice and smiling but he has some issues with his employees treating customers like crap. And while I won't stop shopping at Target I won't be returning to this location anytime soon. read more

Mobility is an issue for me. I looked online and finally called Target. I waded thru the difficult answering robot and eventually entered "2" for the Electronics department. The phone rang for 27 times until I got disgusted and hung up. I called the main number a second time,,,waded thru the answering robot and tried Customer Service, thinking they may be able to answer my question as to a specific item I needed to purchase. I hate to say it, but Walmart is cheaper. They have almost the exact same items at a lower cost in this day and age .who wants to throw away money. We all know Target. It's great for DVDs. It's great for Isaac Mizrahi shoes that cost less than 50 bucks, & will last more than one season. It's great for clothing basics, like camis & pj's. And then, they added groceries to the mix. Genius. I can now buy coffee & creamer, skinny girl wine, & Newman's Own organic thin crust pizza when I'm replenishing my supply of Mossimo tank tops. I couldn't ask for more. But, there's another service at Target that you might not be aware of. That of women's support group. It wasn't until I read Brandi Glanville's book (don't judge) that I realized it was "a thing." Brandi explains in her book that when she found out her husband had been cheating on her, she would go to Target, & cry. A lot. I myself have had many less than stellar days, & I, too, retreated to Target. Many times. What is it exactly that draws disenchanted women to this place? The cheap thrill of a bargain? Being able to buy a latte at the Starbucks inside, & traipse the aisles w it while perusing necessary items that won't break the bank? I don't know. But gentlemen, if you have a mom, a sister, a girlfriend, a wife, or a daughter... & she's upset about something... there's a good chance you'll find her at Target. 4 stars for now.
