Target Crappola Ratings: 1= worst crap to 10= best crap in the Universe. Bath Towels=8 , they have some very nice 100% cotton towels from $5.99 to about $15 for bath size. I own several and they are soft, absorbent, and fluffy. Stay away from the very cheapest there, unless you want it to cover your chair seat. There towels are just as good as BBB, but usually run cheaper. Go with 100% Egyptian if possible. Consumer Reports rates their top of the line (Royal ?) very well. Bed Linens/ Bedding=6 , OK, but still can find good deals at TJM, Marshals, BBB, etc. Pillow are OK here or at Sears. Memory foam is much better at Costco, especially full Tempurpedic clone mattresses. Bath Accessories=6, OK but Kohl's has a better selection. Sear's is OK too. TJM, Ross's, Marshal's are iffy. Kitchen Electrical=7, really extensive selection & good prices. Most looks good but almost made in China. Made in Mexico is sometimes better. Go lower-midrange on price...most are basically designed to break after 2 years so spend accordingly. Remember the more electronic doodads, the more things to go wrong or break. Consider these things "disposable". Kitchen Tools= 8, really a nice selection of all kinds of things. They may have the same exact thing that you want at TJM or Marshals for 1/2 price, so wait to check before buying, if it not a culinary emergency! Kitchen Pots, Pans, Knifes= 4, below average selection & quality. Amazon is far far better in prices & quality. BBB is pricey but better. The discounters are iffy. Furniture/ lighting/storage= 3, Mostly made in china, softwood crap that will break and chip. Wire storage racks are fine. Most lights are cheap plastic crap too. I guess you could call this temporary furniture! DVD/ Electronics/Books= 3, selection is pathetic & Blurays/DVDs are way overpriced, Amazon or DeepDiscount it! Crappy electonics...don't buy unless you can't get to Costco or do on-line! Even BB is better! Battery selection is good. Sometimes cheap cables/memory/accessories. Electronic Games=4, Ah, go to BB or better yet Fry's, or the best is Amazon. Clothing= 7, Good-great for women (some special especially cheap designer stuff that goes for a fraction of the price in big label stores like NM), but really nothing great unless you make a discovery...like 75 cent woman's gloves once! They were synthetic, but cheaper than Home Depot garden gloves! ), Just OK for men (5). Underwear & Socks= 7, Well you have to buy these somewhere. Check out sales between here, Kohl's, & Sears...and sometimes you can find nice stuff at TJM or Marshals, but iffy. Toys= 8, great selection at decent prices without the hassle of on-line. Sporting Goods/Camping= 6, Pretty good selection. Hardware/Lighting/Tools/Stuff= 6, it is mixed bag, some lights are at Home Depot prices, but pass on the tools. Fans/Heaters= 6, Usually decent selection, but check OSH, Loews, HD first. Lotions/ Deo/Shampoo /OTC stuff=7, lots of selections, but also check Rite Aid, CVS....also nice deals on nicer stuff at TJM. Food= 5, limited slim pickings, except for holiday stuff. Greeting Cards= 6, good selection, Hallmarks stores are better. Food Court=4, only if you have too! Gardening= 1-2, almost totally phased-out and outdoor closed...very sad! TIP= always check the end of each aisle for clearance stuff, you will mostly find junk, but treasure awaits rarely! Hygiene/ Organization= 8, it is a pleasure to shop here! You say good buy, I'll say hello! Tar-zhay is fabu. So much better than Wal-Mart where they sell walls. ;) It is one of those places that I love to go to. I can spend so much time browsing and exploring the aisles. I love to buy toiletry essentials like razor refills, cotton squares and clear mascara (makes a great brow gel for those who don't care for their brows to walk on the wild side). I also looove looking at the CDs, DVDs and of course the books. I can spend hours looking at the books. It's like a little mini Borders bookstore, except you can also purchase kitchen utensils and pet supplies. This Target location is also kept clean and organized which is so important to me. I don't like finding a bottle of Tums in the toy section if you know what I mean. There are no Tums in the toy section at this Tar-zhay. Target corporation has a really intelligent marketing team. Their whole specialty designer collections are ingenious! Designs by Erin Featherston, Jovovich-Hawk and Botikier oh my! I personally have never purchased the clothes (except for some t's for yoga) but they must be doing well since they continue to invite designers to design lines for them. I read an interview of a famous designer in Vogue that read a designer knows he or she has made it if Target invites him/her to design a line. Cool! For not being a Super Target, this store is close to perfect. They always seem to have stock, which seems unusual for Northern California Target stores. I've never had a problem buying thing at the registers, though they're often too busy, and they don't add enough cashiers soon enough. Lost some love for my local Target store. They've been getting worse at stocking my go-to items. I went as far as asking if I could place a special order like buying a case of the stuff but they said they can't allow me to do that. Are you kidding me? You won't let me give you guaranteed business in a quantity that I don't normally buy in one visit. I was told that applies to perishable items but I think that policy needs to be revisited if they want to keep me as a customer. I love Target always clean and friendly. Target has been doing a great job with safety. mask are available at the door for anyone that doesn't have one. sanitizer is also available. I was surprised to see the store full of people on Saturday not sure what happened because they were only letting a number of people in the store and you would have to line up outside. The customer service was good they did what they were suppose to but, I bought two NCT albums for 50+ dollars and they were missing photo cards, and id cards that were suppose to come with them. We exchanged them and still, no photo cards. They were all half way opened. They need to put the albums away to prevent this. read more

This one star goes out to the slow online order pick up. Came in the store and my order still was processing. Order says within 2 hours, to me that mean no more than 2 hours. Get there 10 minutes before the two hour mark and order wasn't ready. Walked over to hand pick it up myself and was now told I can't pick it up yet until the actual processing guy marks it as complete order. Sounds ridiculous right? So i was given two options to WAIT until my order was ready, I mind you i had the item at the front counter. Or cancel my order and then purchase it in stores. I could have just done that ! What's the point of online orders and easy pick up in store. I don't think I'll do any more online orders. Too long of a wait and hassle. I mind you, the manager or lead manager Kirk wasn't sympathetic or apologies for the process. He was nice but nice doesn't pay for the time being wasted waiting around for a simple pick up. I just absolutely love this location. It's just your average Target, but it's the employees that really make this place the best. I am constantly going there, for drive-up pickups or just to wander the aisles. I have a baby, so my stroller is usually my cart and my last time in, my items just weren't fitting and I started feeling embarrassed and flustered. I have extreme social anxiety, but nobody ever makes me feel rushed (except rude customers ). The gentleman checking and bagging my items happily assisted me out to my car. We talked like old friends, and laughed the whole way to where I parked. The staff is just so accommodating, friendly, understanding and helpful. Well, I'm a huge fan of Target, but this one is terrible! Everytime I go into this specific Target, the store is trashed and I mean TRASHED! The employees don't even care, they're running around the store on their phones or talking about their weekends with their co-workers, when they should be cleaning up/organizing this trashed store. They shelves are always empty, items aren't in the correct place and don't even attempt finding clothes, especially in the kids/baby section. Hopefully they get this store cleaned up soon. read more

Yikes! This Target is a true mess! Went in to pick up some items for my daughter's nursery & as nature has it, I browsed in departments that I had no business in lol. The shoe department looked like it had been ransacked, I took pictures because words are honestly not enough to describe the state of these aisles. Other areas of the store were also disorganized & I found myself having to look through many different items in one rack to find something. They had very few registers open on this day, the wait times were long, & the staff could really use some encouragement. I used the restroom at the end of my shopping trip & what do I find at the entrance? A ton of soiled toilet paper. They literally need to clean up their act, there's no excuse for a store to look THIS bad. read more

Terrible customer service. A $20 tie fell out of my bag at checkout and I didn't notice til I got home. Target supervisor won't refund me for the tie as they say I paid for it and walked out. There were empty shelves everywhere with the wrong prices on everything my husband and I looked at he wanted a sonicare toothbrush wow, they need corporate to come asap and tidy it all up! We have been to target stores all over but this one is not shopper friendly we ended up going to the McHenry store and it was alittle better but we were reminded why we shop online so often! I used to come to this Target all the time. The Target on Sisk Road was always the one I would suggest my friend would go to if they're in the area. I had always been treated decently as a customer and always felt valued and respected when I came in. Yesterday, however, I came in for two things: hair ties and socks. I browsed around a bit and found a sale on Amiibos: Three for $20. I felt the sale was a little too good to be true, so I looked for someone to ask about it. There were NO employees working in the electronics section, and the one person who I was going to ask about it couldn't even check for me because she kept getting called to the front. I figured I'd check the prices at checkout and selected the three Amiibos that I was going to purchase. When we reached the front of the store, there were NO open checkstands! Every single employee run checkstand was closed. The only option was to sit in a long line in front of the self-checkout, where two of the machines were down. The girl from the back was called up to open a register to help the line move along, but it was a shockingly slow line to get through. I even looked at the jewelry section (there was no one there) to see if someone would help check out some customers. I spotted two employees, both ladies, standing in the women's clothing, fiddling with the clothing already on the shelves. I would see them talk on the walkie talkie before continuing to talk to each other while one (very polite) lady ran the only open register while customers attempted to use the self checkout. When I was rang up for my Amiibos, they were listed at full price. The lady at the register wasn't able to leave to help me look in the back to show her the price. I was moved to customer service and the woman there very politely told me that there was no one working in electronics right now and that she could get me a price check as soon as someone was available to do so. However, after waiting in that line for so long over three Amiibos, a set of scrunchies, and some socks, I decided the Amiibos weren't worth the effort and I just wanted to leave the store. I paid for the scrunchies and the socks and finally left. I have never felt so angry and frustrated at a visit to this store before, and it upsets me so much that it's not like it was even a matter of months ago. I don't know what changed, but it feels like it's not for the better. Where did all the employees go? Why isn't there anyone who knows anything from the EMPTY sections of the store? What happened to the good quality customer service that I used to get? I'm so sorry to my friends: I don't suggest that you come to this Target anymore. A target is a target is a target. This particular one boasts a Starbucks if you are into that sort of thing. What pains me about this Target is that they often have incorrect pricing signs displayed. The staff usually cannot help out with giving you the lower price or explaining why this is often wrong. Definitely look for the "seasoned checkers" upon check-out. I am a target-aholic. confessions: I know where most every item is housed within this store. I have helped other customers and staff in the past in locating items. I have gone to this store a handful of times accidentally wearing a red shirt, and have been asked by customers to help them. Sometimes, I consider if I am in the wrong profession and should be working at Target. As with any big box store, there are good and bad experiences. This particular location has been for the most part good. You get to know which checkers are good, and you stick with them, even if their particular line is long. Some checkers are really good about using the coupons that spit out during your transaction to give you extra money off. Some also have money off your entire purchase coupons they give you on the spot for long waits. Returns are hassle-free. What really bothers me about Target in general is how they raise prices by doing a "sale" or "deal". For instance, I will post a picture of one of their promotions. The sale is to buy 2 boxes of Froot Loops -- which cost $3.89, and get the third for 50% off. However, if you slide over the sale signage, you will see the original price of $3.54. Someone didn't change the original tag underneath. The reason why I know this is because this is how Target rolls out a raised price change. The new sales ad comes out on Sundays, and if they are going to increase the base price on an item, they will "put it on special" with some deal such as the buy 2 get 3rd 50% off, or buy 4 get one free, but it will be at the new price which the customer will hopefully not notice. After the sale week is over, the item is at it's new higher price. It happens ALL the time now at Target. I am always suspicious of the items in the weekly ad because it usually means their prices are going up. Granted, if you use coupons, the cartwheel app and the Target credit card, you can score some really good prices. And yes, I purposely check my clothing before entering a Target store to make sure I am devoid of the color red. read more

I purchased an apple mini iPad as a Christmas gift on December 8th. When I went to return the unopened iPad I was told I had ten days from the purchase day to return the item. December 26th was 4 days passed the 2 weeks period. What's the purpose of buying Christmas gifts early if we can not return it. I told him my daughter wants the bigger memory and I would like to exchange it. He said he couldn't help me but gave me an 800 number to call. I called the 800 number and she said she could not help me because I purchased the item at the store. I asked to speak to her supervisor. She said he will call me within 5 business day.
