Disappointed with the installation of the cabinets. I ordered counter tops and the color received was not the same. I understand variations in natural stone but this was a different color. Subcontractors for the installation were used and the installer did a tacky job. The so-called subcontractor damaged cabinets and scratched cabinets and inappropriately attached cabinets. (They were replaced but he knew the damage was there and assumed I was gonna be ok with it. Then he tried to say it was someone else. I had pictures dated and time stamped. Cabinets to Go did not replace all damaged cabinets/drawers). The contractors left holes where the handles were installed because I'm assuming the holes he drilled were too wide. The cabinets were not flush against the walls. I will have to pay someone to put filler on them to make it look finished. T My biggest concern with Cabinets to Go was the unfairness of refusing to accept their error for the countertop. The delivery guys told me they have had complaints from other customers who paid for the same pattern I selected because the color is so misrepresented. I sent photos to 2 other departments and both departments agreed that the color was off, but when it went to final approval, my request for a partial credit or new countertops was denied. So I was forced to pay for a countertop that Cabinets to Go selected. I have remodeled 2 rental properties since my home install and I did not use Cabinets to go. I will not recommend them or use them again. I would recommend using your own contractor or installer if you do use Cabinets to go. Cabinets to Go misrepresented other aspects as well. This was for the ready-to-go cabinets. I would hope that their custom cabinets are better. read more

Cabinets great, countertops...they measured in linear square foot from what she said so now they want me to pay more than double. The female (I won't state her name) was rude, accusatory and dismissive. I'm not sure how to resolve this. Either they can resolve the countertop issue or they can come and get EVERYTHING. Stopped in here a while ago. Very helpful and estimate wasn't too bad. My only complaint was the person they referred me to, gave me an estimate over the phone for $14,000 for installation. You call this an authorized installer? Guy was a joke. Didn't even look at my kitchen. Didn't want to know anything. Seemed like he didn't want the job. I'm not stupid but that estimate is way overpriced. My kitchen is small. Only 10 cabinets.I can hang these cabinets myself for nothing. Very unacceptable! Do NOT purchase from this company. I have been waiting to receive my $15k order for over 5 months now. It is now delayed yet another month. Have they been calling me and apologizing every month that it's delayed and keeping me informed? Nope. I have to contact them after my new delivery date has come and gone with no delivery just to be told that it's delayed yet again. I have multiple pieces of my new kitchen sitting in my home for months. What if they don't work? Can't do anything about it because the return window is long gone. I can't plan for my install because the date keeps changing. On top of that, the store manager Shauna is rude. She was doing my initial design and told me she couldn't make the island the way I wanted. She yelled at me on the phone when I expressed frustration with a poor design experience. She kept not making the changes I asked for via email. I ended up working with someone else that did exactly what I wanted. Shauna is just a bad designer who told me it couldn't be done. She has refused to provide any compensation for these insane delays. Not even an extra shelf or something small. Just "oh well, sucks for you. How about you just change to a color you don't want?" Why would I wait all this time just to switch to a color I don't want? I may as well just keep waiting forever and at least I will have the design I intended. I was planning to purchase from this company again. Absolutely will NOT give them any more business. I suggest you look elsewhere for your cabinet needs. Working with Shauna was a pleasure. I found her to be knowledgeable and straightforward. She was not pushy or going in a direction that was not for us. If we ask a question (in which we ask a whole lot of them) not only did she answer in a way we could understand she showed us samples and on the a TV screen. The manager as well as saleswoman claim the cabinets are 100% solid wood. I retrieved a sample of the cabinet and found this not to be true. The frame, as the website claims, is "Solid birch hardwood frames." This is very misleading as the center panels of the cabinets are compressed fiber. When I called the store to discuss this, was told "we were told...it is solid hardwood." It isn't. The compressed MDF or whatever it is, is tongue n grooved into the "solid birch hardwood frame." In some environments, this would be ok. But in anything humid, these will expand at different rates. The manager and salesperson really need to know what they are selling and quit misleading the customers. Take a look at the photos and one can clearly see what is wood and what isn't. If one expects this to last a lifetime, you may be in for a surprise. read more

These place is a great find for the "do it yourselfer." We saw an advertisement for cabinets to go on one of the home-improvement shows we watch. They definitely saved us a lot of money but if you're looking for something that moves quickly, this is not the place for you. Their customer service is great but we did experience some hiccups along the way. The cabinets are shipped from the East Coast so it takes a little while get here. The quality of the cabinets are absolutely beautiful and they can also provide the accessories as far as knobs and pulls, crown molding and baseboards. We did not get our countertops done through them but they provide that as well. One of the things we really liked was the design service. They have the ability to show you a 3-D image of your kitchen and you can see what the finished kitchen would look like. We ended up changing our mind on a couple of things once we could "see" how it would look-so the 3-D mock up was a great tool. The only downside to be aware of, is that(at least in February 2018) they had only three employees total. That's for phones and helping people walking in, and appointments. The person helping us was professional, but the other two were talking loudly about personal issues and one left while the other yelled his lunch order across the store. The people were nice enough, just not as polished as you would receive in an upscale store. Also since there are only three employees at maximum, you may have a bit of a wait. My recommendation is to call ahead and make an appointment. We did that and we never had a problem. Overall our experience with them was very pleasant and our kitchen looks fabulous. The quality of the products combined with the savings makes this place a must for any kitchen or bath remodel. While no business is perfect all of the time, our experience was pretty seamless. We had a great experience with cabinets to go and I would use them again in a heartbeat. read more

The cabinets are fine, however when you go in...I would recommend asking for the gentleman there to help you. The lady that works there makes you feel like you are putting her out of her way if you ask any questions or have any requests above and beyond what SHE thinks is best. If we wanted to make any changes to our order when we were building it she kept "reminding" us that every time we make a change it is an opportunity for a mistake to happen with the order. Absolutely the worst experience ever! 8 weeks and my order is still not complete. Staff are rude, promise the world but deliver nothing. Manager promises to call back but does not follow through. No clue as to where items are or, if they are on truck or not. Unless you enjoy aggravating circumstances I would recommend you get your cabinets elsewhere. Learned Friday 23rd March that the missing cabinets required to complete my project will not be in until mid April! These were paid for and ordered on February 12th!! This is a nightmare that just keeps going on and on! No one knows if cabinets are being shipped or not, let alone when. There is absolutely no inventory control at the warehouse and it takes four or five days after the truck arrives to discover that the cabinets they had told you were there and to pick up were actually not shipped at all! I've made several trips down there and 50 plus phone calls wasting hours of my time not to mention the money wasted in interest charges because the house cannot be sold without a kitchen! If you're a Property developer like me you should keep this in mind as every days delay costs money. The reality of this unorganised slipshod organisation is a far cry from the promises made during the sales pitch during which I was promised a kitchen in "a week or two"! When I questioned the salesperson about a six inch gap in the layout of my upper cabinets she immediately became defensive and began talking over me and shouting, she even called the police because I got upset and began shouting back at her, shame on me for having the nerve to complain The customer service number at the main office is useless and even after several calls and an email I've yet to hear from anyone, it's bad from the top to the bottom I'll update this on a regular basis so that you, the consumer can draw your own conclusions. It's now April 2nd and still no sink base! After assurances by the National customer service people that the manager would be in touch with me to provide a fedex tracking as they were now shipping directly to job site, good news right? Yes, but yet again, no one ever did! I called store, they said they were working on it and would call me back with number, they never did! I called store yet again and the story changed ...... again! Now the missing items are on their truck and not coming by fedex after all!!! More lies, more broken promises. What a bloody fiasco! The manager Brian, still hasn't had the decency or balls to even call me. Think twice before ordering anything from this place. Finally got the rest of my cabinets on the 12th April, an 8 week ordeal that I wouldn't wish on anyone. Don't believe the promises that you will get your kitchen in a week or two, figure six to eight weeks! They were great when I was spending my money but as soon as things went wrong they really demonstrated their true colours. I had a great experience on Sat when I went in but I was not happy with the follow up so I reached out to corp and they called me back within minutes. They apologized and talked me through some issues and I received a call a few min later from the store manager. Back on track. This place is a joke! Worst customer service ever, the staff is really rude and my contact, Julia, has a major attitude problem. I came in during their buy one get one sale, once my quote was emailed to me the sale was not listed. I asked why the sale was not on the quote and their response was that I would save more money with a 35% discount instead. They didn't even tell me that they were going to do that and they did not provide two quotes to compare the savings. I've been communicating with them for the past 3 weeks. 1st week was just design aspects, the next two weeks was trying to just get in touch with somebody to discuss the quote. I stopped by and my contact wasn't there even though she said she was going to be. I explained the situation to the other person and he just offered to leave a note. Aren't you guys all working for the same place? Couldn't you have answered my questions and given me the time of day? I stop by again and was barely acknowledged by my contact, acted as if she didn't know why I was there and then proceeded to tell me that I needed to change my design which would only save me a couple hundred dollars. They have a lack of communication which makes it very difficult to get questions answered and redesigns. I kept getting told, "let me look into that".... I had a total of 11 questions within our email chain and only one question was answered. If their customer service was top-notch I might have still gone with them regardless of the higher price. They claim to be 40% cheaper than other places, they were the most expensive quote I've received so far. Due to the lack of professionalism and their sad excuse for a customer service team, I'll be taking my business elsewhere. Bad Experience! Came to this modesto location a referal from a contractor saying they were great, boy was he wrong, me and my wife initially came into store and were treated real nicely by the employees, we placed order and we assumed things are going smoothly, we receive our order sign contract with our contractor to perform assembly and installation, mid way contractory finds one cabinet thats different color, i contact CTG and explain im on a deadline with this contractor and need the right cabinet, i was told by rep who was real nice that he contacted every resource he can to get ahold of the right cabinet that we originally ordered keep in mind were on a deadline with our contractor so either way ill have to lose my deposit if i dont continue with the installation deadline, anyhow after i was told i would have to pay a $290 expeditied shipping on a cabinet that i didnt make mistake in the company made this error i was upset asked rep to go back and speak with area manager and come with a resolve, i was given a $100 credit to get the cabinet we originally ordered, again we didnt make this mistake the comapany did, so just a heads up folks that are buying from this company make sure you get the right order otherwise you will have to pay a price and they will still charge you for this even if it's not your fault.... read more
