To Whom It May Concern: I was a repeat customer with Custom shower and glass. My first experience was fairly typical, but the most recent ones forces me to give them 1/5 stars and warn my friends, family, and other customers against doing business with Custom shower and glass. I contacted "Josh" from Custom shower and glass on 8/18/2026, to purchase a glass dining table top. Measurements were done, and I waited to be told said table top arrived and to make an appointment. I do not hear from the company for weeks, and then last week I get a missed call from them at 8:00 A.M (on a work day so my phone is not on me), and they decide to show up at my home without an appointment around 9:30 A.M, or even us connecting to make sure someone is home. I had also told them my wife works nights, so morning appointments are a no go unless it's on a Monday/Tuesday due to her sleep schedule. I text/call them to inform them I did not appreciate them randomly dropping by my home and expecting someone to be there. Like most American's, my wife and I both work and have a son. Appointments are and should be considered standard. An appointment is made for the following week, Monday 9/21/2026, I was told someone would arrive between 8:30- 8:45 A.M. I told them I would start work late that day to be home. The appointment was agreed upon. On Monday 9/21/2026, no one shows up for my appointment, nor am I given the courtesy or respect of a phone call to say "Sorry we are running late". I figured something unavoidable happened, like traffic, or someone calling in sick (these things are unfortunate but understandable). I called Josh and he said " Well, they are an hour away from you", I reminded him that he told me my appointment time was 8:30-8:45, and he said they had another appointment at that time an hour away from my city. I asked "How is it an appointment if you have multiple people expecting you for the same time slot, and they are not even in the same general area". He did not have a response for this question. Nor did he give me another appointment; he just said "Well, they can call you at the end of the day to see if they can deliver it". I waited an hour or two and texted him stating I was unhappy with how his company was treating my family, and his lack of professional and basic common courtesy. I did not get a response, so I texted and canceled my order. A company that does not communicate with their customers, does not honor or keep appointments, and that repeatedly lies to them, is not a company worth supporting. Whoever is reading this, save yourself a big headache and a lot of wasted time and purchase from a company who will respect your time, and who will do right by your family! UPDATE 9/23/2026. The company response is false. No one contacted me to resolve this. I even called and left voicemails asking to speak to anyone but "Josh" as he has already lied to me several times. There was no breakdown in communication or miss understanding. They literally dropped by my home with no appointment, but refused to honor the appointment they made with me. If customer service mattered to them at all, they would not have repeatedly lied to me, and made me stay home from work for no reason. UPDATE 9/25/2026. I called and left 2 voicemails asking to speak to anyone but Josh ( as he is a lair). None of my voicemails were returned. I also messaged on yelp, it was not answered. To date, I have not been contacted to correct this issue. You have my phone number, email address, and message on yelp. Your lack of customer server was showing up at my home without an appointment. Then making an appointment with me ( and having me not go into work), then scheduling multiple appointments hours away for the same time. Not messaging me when appointment was missed, and refusing to give me another appointment just a vague " well, someone will call you". You should not "take exception" to the truth. I was lied to at every turn. I hope the people reading this make a better choice then I did, when I choice to give Custom Shower and Glass Inc my business. read more

Custom Shower and Glass in Modesto was recommended by our Contractor and we could not be happier with the service. They did a frameless Shower Door in my hubby's bathroom that is unbelievably beautiful. It was installed to our specification's and in a timely manner from order to install. Also, they gave us instructions how to care for the glass going forward. We all know just how wonderful the water is in Valley. We upgraded hubby's bathroom by ripping out the tub and installing a walk in shower. The first time hubby saw the install on completion all he could say is "it's perfect". My words exactly! After completion of a shower remodel, it was time to order a replacement shower door. The renovator highly recommended Custom Shower & Glass as his first choice, and ultimately after getting multiple quotes, we went with these guys as the middle of the pack. The process was straightforward, Erik promptly came out to do the measurements and find out what exactly we needed in terms of glass thickness and hardware style. After that we waited a few weeks and they contacted us for an installation date. The installers showed up on time, laid down protective stuff from doorway to bathroom, and did a great job hanging the new door. After hanging, there was a small, noticeable imperfection in the glass. After trying to buff it out, they had no qualms about dismantling everything and re-ordering a replacement. A week or two later, they return with a shiny new door and proceed to install that one. Unfortunately in transit, a rock from the highway chipped the door, which we only discovered after it was installed and cleaned. Without any fuss, they apologized profusely, uninstalled the door and ordered another replacement. Of course on the third try, everything went perfectly. To me the important part in all this was that they stood by their workmanship and handled the replacements with complete professionalism. There was no hemming and hawing about "industry standard" and "to code" nonsense. It was clear that they value customer satisfaction and their reputation, and they will do whatever they can to make the result perfect. As a result, I would happily employ their services again, and highly recommend them. read more

I needed to have two double paned garage window panels replaced, so I called Custom Shower & Glass on a Thursday afternoon & left a message. Josh called me back the next day & said he could have someone come out at 8:30am on Monday. So Monday morning Jason & Chris showed up very polite & professional to measure both panels. They had to take the complete panel out of the frame & take off the trim out holding the glass in place to get the correct measures. It took about 3 weeks to order & get both double paned panels installed. When it came time for the install Jason returned this time by himself & once again he was very professional, meticulous & did a great clean job. I was hoping it could be repaired because I really did not have the money to buy a new shower glass door. Patrick was prompt for our 8am appointment. He was professional and likeble. He thought he could fix the door with an adjustment and turned out he was able to adjust it to work like new. I will use him again for any glass needs.
