Needed a French door, outer glass pain and a sliding door, outer glass pain. replaced after the gas leaked out from between the pains. They got back to me the next day with an estimate from their supplier, and an appointment to come back out the week. They came out in the time window given. He had to remove the remaining pain in each door and installed the "window cassette" in just over an hour (the slider was upstairs so he definitely worked extra for that one!!). They were half the price of the big company here in town, who still hasn't gotten back to me after over a month and a couple of calls by me. American Glass was recommended by a family member so I will highly recommend them to any other family member or anybody else for that matter! Great family run company, great prices, and they also use another local family ran company who makes the windows. They beat every competitor in town by at least $1,000. Quick to come out and measure to provide a quote. Turnaround time for the windows to be made was fast, 3 weeks for me. Installation was quick and the installer didn't make a mess. He had a vacuum and kept everything tidy. The installer even showed me how to remove the newly installed window which moves up and down in the case I am out of warranty and need to replace or repair it. Highly recommended company read more

The installer, Chris, did a great job and the price was much more reasonable than other quotes I got. However, there were handprints left on the window when he was done and are too high for me to reach. Subsequently, I was told they install the windows but do not wash them. Just be aware of that if you're having windows replaced in high places. read more

Have used American Glass Co. twice now for sunscreens for the house. They do a great job and I had two large screens done in just a couple days. Took the measurements, went to the office, picked out the shade of screen and they called when it was ready for pick up. They quoted me $100 less than several places I've called so I was really pleased with the price. I dropped them one star because the inside office where they meet and greet is completely filthy. They need a cleaning service or even Bill Murray to come in with a leaf blower and blow that place clean. It's like nothing I've ever seen in a business. Still, I'd go back to them anytime. They came to try and fix my windshield, the man was nice , however when he called me back . He said if I noticed the 6 inch crack ? I said I just got outta my car ! There was no crack that big, then he admitted doing it! He said he could replace the glass( windshield) . My point is that if there was a possibility that he could make it worse , tell your customer!!!! Don't make it worse and drive away trying to deny it , THEN ADMIT YOU DID IT!! read more

I recently called for a quote for a glass slider and 2 windows. I spoke with the "boss" and he took down all my measurements and info said he would get back to me the next day with a quote and he never did. I called about 2 weeks later and spoke with someone who said he'd give the message to the "boss" to call me on Monday and that call never came either. Very poor customer service. read more

I called after not hearing from there for five days Kory (the daughter) responded "they were just too busy and my job was a hassle". Very disappointed. I'm disabled and we needed our sliding door changed out. Our rental company got in contact with American Glass. They were supposed to do the job. It took them forever to come out to do the measurement. Then they would not submit an estimate in writing. Our rental company asked them to submit one in writing, so they came out to measure again but then they boosted their original quote up. My rental company and me had to call them several times to get them to even come out and do the measurements. It felt like they didn't want to do the job so they slow balled us. Because of this, me and my wife went several months with a sliding glass door that was almost impossible to open and would not lock. We are still without a working sliding glass door and we have to start the process over again because of American glasses shenanigans. As far as I'm concerned, they are liars and a lazy company. This is a long overdue review for this place. I needed my apartment window replaced as I had broken it while trying to get back in after misplacing my key. The father and daughter staff were so nice and greeted me promptly & warmly. I explained my situation and even brought in my broken window that was still attached to the frame. They quickly got to work and started taking measurments. In about 3 to 5 minutes I had a quote that was reasonable and they also had a very quick pick up time of about 2 or 3 days. I paid in cash, recieved my reciept and went about my day. I was called a few days later and informed my window was ready. I picked it up and was given advice on how to install it myself. I was able to get it installed and it looks/functions great. I am happy that everyone seems to have had a great experience. Ours not so much. Bought a new mirror for our remodeled bathroom. Guys came on Friday afternoon to install and were in a hurry to start weekend. We paid for project. On looking at mirror after they finished in a hurry noticed that corner of mirror was hanging about an inch down from the bull nose tile of the back splash. Called to have them come out and redo mirror correctly. Excuses, can't be done, etc, etc. Finally Al came out and he looked and said I will send someone out," work you in" That's been about a month ago. No call, no workers to fix problem. Now we are retired and had to call out handyman who fixed it with no problem. Didn't have to take mirror down as Al seemed to think needed to be done. So long story short, we got our mirror fixed but not by them and we paid to have someone else do the fix. Customer service ?? read more
