Finding Stone Crafters was a true BLESSING. Prior to finding them, we had a contractor who was flaky and was not responding to our calls/txts. We were looking to get tile floors installed and needed it done ASAP. Feeling uncomfortable with the flaky contractors we got more quotes from other contractors but didn't feel like any of them were the "one". I decided to go on yelp and look for more possible options. To my surprise Israel came in with a estimate that beat everyone that had gave us an estimate. At that point we knew we met our guy and agreed on the job. All of the stone work as well as luxury vinyl flooring looks as good as it did when first installed. Recently, we decided we wanted to update our backsplash. We called Israel. Service was terrible; I guess because we weren't a regular customer and just a walk in we didn't matter much. The quality was nice but overly priced. The tear down and installation happened in a matter of days and the craftsmanship was top notch. Melissa in the showroom went above and beyond providing us samples and examples of materials. When Israel came to our room to look at the space he recommended a waterfall edge on the island and also suggested we tile all the way up around our sink. Finally have found time to write this review. I found Stonecrafters a few months ago when we were comparing quotes between companies to use for our master bathroom and kitchen. We had one hell of a nightmare with the contractor that we used for our kids bathroom and did not want to have the same outcome again. So we wanted to find somebody reputable/licensed and we did just that. We did the master bathroom in December and the kitchen in January. For the most part the communication was great. There were a few hiccups along the way as with any project you do. But I never had to worry about them fixing any issues I had, it always got taken care of. I was able to save a substantial amount of money purchasing my own supplies from Home Depot and pretty much paying for the labor. I feel the prices were reasonable but I did not use them to do my kitchen & front entry flooring because the price was pretty outrageous over $2000. I believe he was charging eight dollars a square foot. I did get someone off of thumbtack to do my kitchen floor for $850. I think they need to be a little bit more competitive in regards to laying flooring. Overall I would totally use Stonecrafters again for any remodeling needs. I do recommend Stonecrafters to anybody looking for quality remodeling. I felt the process went really well and now my house is ready for selling! read more

My husband and I decided to finally remodel our kitchen we were getting really sick of the dark counters and decided on classique quartz but all the quotes we got were way out of our budget until we finally called stone crafters and gave Israel the measurements and exact design he gave us an unbeatable quote and we stopped by the shop to give a deposit. It took a lot of back and forth to get an appointment and then the appointment got changed. When they came out to do the estimate, they took measurements and spent a few minutes, but told us that they couldn't do the entire job and would need to bring in a plumbing and electrical specialist. I said that was fine. They gave me a ball park estimate which was good and said that they would get back to me by Thursday or Friday (today) with a written estimate ... nothing! No call, email, text, nothing. I tried to call them in the late afternoon and got voicemail. This doesn't appear to be a business that is serious about obtaining new customers. This review is based solely on customer service, since Israel basically no showed two appointments. After seeing the great reviews here on yelp, I reached out to schedule an appointment for an estimate to tile our living room floor. Israel was very friendly on the phone and told me he'd be in my area (Turlock) that afternoon and would call me an hour prior to heading over. Since I was at work, my husband made plans to be home. By 3:30, I hadn't heard anything, so I text to confirm he was still coming. I realize the afternoon wasn't over yet, but we were coming up on "evening," so I wanted to make sure. He responded promptly and said he was stuck on another job but would text me as he got closer. Fine. A little after 5 pm, he text me to say he wouldn't be done "at a decent time" and asked if we were available Monday. My husband made plans to take the morning off for an appointment between 9-9:30. This time, we didn't get so much as a phone call to say he wouldn't make it. Just a no show. My husband text him to complain that the least he could've done was let us know plans had changed. Israel apologized and said he'd accidentally put us down for another day and asked for another chance. That would've been chance #3. No thank you. I have no doubt the work would've been done well, but I have no desire to do business with someone who doesn't even have the consideration to call ahead when he can't show up.
