All of these smaller projects were completed in exactly the way we wanted. Jeff was extremely responsive, making changes as requested with a great attitude. Feeling confident in his work, we had him screen in our large porch. This work was both effective -- we use our bug-free porch so much more now -- and beautifully done. We get compliments on it all the time. Lastly, Jeff renovated all three of our bathrooms. These were full renovations, with each room taken down to the studs. This was our first time doing serious renovations. As newbies, we relied on Jeff's sound advice and explanations. All three bathrooms turned out beautifully, and everything works great. Jeff and his guys did all the tile work, which is especially superb: totally even and solid. For a few parts of the projects, such as glass shower doors, he brought in an outstanding subcontractor. Many people I talk to have nightmare stories about renovations dragging on and on due to contractors who don't show up on schedule. Or they report shoddily done work. There is none of that with Jeff. He is extremely responsive and always there when he says he will be. And his work is absolutely top-notch. I can tell it really bothers him when anything is the slightest bit imperfect; such things get fixed, even if they are imperfections I would not have noticed myself. Have hired Ramon and his crew for two jobs now and will not hesitate to hire again in the future…read more First job was small exterior plaster repair and paint (that required matching); the repair was great and they matched and blended the paint so well, you can't tell where the repaired section ends and rest of wall begins. Second job was remodel of 3rd bedroom/home office. Complete retexturing, paint, baseboards, barn door installation, closet door replacement, and custom closet shelving. Job took a little longer than originally quoted due to winter weather/humidity causing texture to take longer than normal to dry, but communication was on point every day to let us what would be done and when. I had interviewed 3 contractors and decided to hire Ahmad after talking to a reference he provided. Ahmad is a very intelligent person and worked extremely hard. He thinks in the shoes of customers when he has to make a hard choice. In my case, we were short of one piece of hard wood and the floor seller said the manufacturer does not the same brand any more, which was unexpected. Ahmad spent quite some time thinking the best strategy, and was able to use a similar type with minimal impact to the outlook of the floor. I am yet to review the work in person but my tenant told me that she could not tell the difference. Everything looks great too. I asked Ahmad a week later to fix a paint issue on another rental property that another handyman was not able to match the color after two attempts. Ahmad did the fix and the work looked great! He also fixed a carpet for this property. it was well done. Per my conversation with Ahmad, he was a civil engineer with a college degree and he worked for the US Army's projects before he moved to the US and do a living as a handyman. I would recommend him to others because he is skillful, thoughtful, and trust worthy.

I reached out to Johnny to get the walls in the closet ready for the wallpaper installation. He…read morecame to check the walls condition and to give the estimate, I shared what the expectations were. The quote was $600 to flatten the walls for the wallpaper installation (we had orange peel alike texture). When he and his son arrived to work on the walls. They only patched some holes and said that's it. It then came to the argument that that was not how the walls should be prepared for the wallpapers. Johnny offered to skim coat the walls for additional $400. And he was assuring me that the wallpapers can be installed on textured walls, which is not true. I received multiple quotes for the wallpaper installation and EVERY single company said that the walls should be smooth. My advice is when you work with them, record the process/conversation and do a full walkthrough of the steps and the process before they start. What was discussed during the quote doesn't match with the work done. Very disappointed. $600 to patch some holes. The walls are still not ready for wallpaper installation. None of the companies want to install on textured walls because they all say it will bubble up! Now I have to pay extra to the other company to properly prep the walls.

We have been slowly redoing spaces within our home during the pandemic and the kitchen was our…read morebiggest project yet. We wanted to get rid of our tired, builder installed ubatuba granite tops and basic backsplash with a refreshed quartz product to modernize our open concept kitchen and island. Anthony the owner of APlus Marble was one of the first people we contacted and he was out to quote within a few days, complete with samples on hand for us to try and visualize the space. His pricing was fair, competitive if not slightly above a few other quotes we received. What I appreciated was Anthony's promptness on follow up questions and scheduling. We ultimately committed to using APlus Marble for our remodel and are very happy with the outcome (see the before and after pic!). The demolition and install crews were very clean and made sure to mask off the space so that we didn't get dust or debris over our living room area. There were a few measurement gaffes with the original quote, but Roman the project manager was thoughtful in bringing them to my attention and working through the measurement changes so that I was happy with what they were templating. Due to the pandemic and other scheduling issues, we took a big leap of faith and let Anthony select the Quartz slabs from MSI in Hayward. He did a great job picking 2 slabs with great uniform veining and that fit our kitchen configuration perfectly. He also made great recommendations on going with a thicker mitered edge that would enhance the modern vibes we were going for. On install day, the crew was again timely and made quick work of the install. I did have to remind them about installing some hidden metal supports for our island since we were deleting the corbels. Again, a small gaffe but they were quick to adapt, source the missing parts and keep the project on schedule. In the end we are extremely happy with our finished kitchen by APlus Marble and wouldn't hesitate for a second to recommend Anthony and his team for your next counter top needs! Thanks again!!
