They are truly a piece of art, perfectly complementing not only my built-in cabinets but more importantly, my own furniture, which include a range of woods in different shades of color and tones. Ray's installers are artists. They were discerning in how they pieced together the wooden floorboards. They made sure that the overall pattern was pleasing to the eye while also allowing you to enjoy the gorgeous grains and colors in each individual piece. As a quilter, I know it's not easy to piece disparate pieces together in a way that looks effortless. I also appreciate the fact that they rejected certain floorboards because they felt they weren't right for the overall flooring effect. A very important detail that can make or break a design. Ray's Carpet One were professional and a pleasure to work with. Sonia was incredibly helpful in helping me identify what I wanted. She asked all the right questions, which turned what can be an overwhelming process into something painless and easy. Plus she has a sense of humor, which makes everything so much better. The installers were awesome. Not only did I love the end result but they were professional in how they managed my project. Excellent communication, punctual and delivering high quality work. Almost forgot to mention the amazing carpets! My focus was definitely on the hardwood floors. I had no expectations for the carpeting in the bedroom so when I saw -- or should I say, felt, the carpeting, I was in sensory heaven. Plush, perfect padding and beautiful. I should also say something about cost. While flooring projects are never cheap (or at least good quality flooring is not), I'm happy with what I paid. Sonia got me a good deal on carpeting. And by finding me a wood floor that makes my cabinets look awesome, I don't have spend tens of thousands of dollars on new or even refurbished cabinets. It's a sweet savings that I hadn't expected. If i could give zero stars I would. Absolutely unprofessional. First, Sonia was set to come and do room measurements for my living room and nursery. After being an hour and a half late to show up, I had to call the store to figure out if she was even going to show up in the first place. Her excuse was another customer had her measure a bunch of extra rooms and thats why she was late. (If she KNEW she was running late, why wouldn't she call ahead of time and let me know?) Next I call to set an appointment and make a down payment. Anne charged my card and I was told she would get back to me on if the date I requested had an opening. I then had to call 3 different times that week and the last call she tells me "oh I thought I had called and confirmed all the appointments that week already" OBVIOUSLY NOT! So this morning I was supposed to have my carpet installed between 8-9am. Anne made sure to tell me a couple times, her "guys" are normally early so I might want to be ready early just in case. Awesome no problem. Well come 9:30am I have to call and ask where the installers are at and if they are still coming! I was told they just left the warehouse after picking up the carpet. (Again if they are going to be late why can't they call ahead of time?) 10:30am rolls around and STILL nobody has shown up. So I call AGAIN and now was told that my appointment time was really 11am to noon this whole time!!! All because Anne didn't get the right confirmation time for me! I am beyond upset. Paid 1,200 for all this bullshit. The guy JUST showed up at 11:20. At least he was polite and friendly. As for the women in the office, kinda seems like nobody knows what the hell they are doing!! My review is for for Sonia. Although we did not end up going with Ray's, simply due to some complications and delay in timeline (on our side) I still want to make sure that I leave this review. Sonia was wonderful to work with. We met her in store, which had tons of options. I originally thought I was set on my decision going into the store until I realized my pick looked slightly different than I had remembered. Sonia mentioned that it is all about lighting and she was right! When we visited our home, Sonia was happy to come by to walk the home and do a quote. She also brought all samples with her so that we could look at them inside the home with the lighting. Her quoting time was quick, the pricing was fair and communicating with her was great.
