She looked at 5 different companies, and the main things that stood out with this company were that they guarantee their timeline and budget: if they go over the timeline they will pay you $250 per day. From the first phone call to the final clean-up day, they were professional, kind and the communication was amazing! I was there during many of the construction days and they were all so awesome! Initial remodel was wonderful - great customer service, completed on time, no cost overruns, cleaned up after. What more can you ask for? BUT the real key to me is how a vendor acts after they've completed the job and been paid. This is where CRATE really shines. We had a small problem which they fixed the same day we called. I have used Kitchen & Bath Crate for three renovations so far. They did a custom remodel in my kitchen/dining room in 2018. They remodeled a full bath and a half bath in 2020. This was our third home remodel, different houses. I wish I had KB for the first two. This was the most professional and well organized construction company I have ever dealt with. From the beginning quote process to the final inspections we knew exactly was going to happen on a day to day basis, The beginning project quote was nothing like the general contractor quotes you may have dealt with, It was an extreme;y detailed document which accounted for every item and labor hour. It was however very flexible and after our two meetings with our designer we made several changes. Once the quote is approved the KB crate is moved onto your driveway and work begins, They provide you with a Gantt chart for each phase of the remodel, and the stick to it. They said two months for the project and it was one month and 29 days, start to finish. The quality of workmanship was top level. We were extremely pleased with all of it. A phrase we heard often was" we want you to be happy", and we were. Everyone they sent to work on the project was a skilled professional. One of the things I liked best about KB was NO SUBCONTRACTORS. If you have dealt with contractors that use multiple subs and the headaches that accompany them you will very much appreciate this. Remodeling isn't fun but KB makes it easier and much less of a pain in the rear. Our highest recommendation goes to KB. If you are in their work area call them in. read more

We researched and felt comfortable with staff from beginning to end of our rest room remodel. They were professional every step of the way. "Communication is king " and CRATE was impeccable with their updates, challenges and solutions to any issues that surfaced. We had a manufacturer's defect item (warranty issue) and they went above and beyond to make sure our parents were happy ( they are ecstatic ) with the end result !! This company deserves more than 5 stars! Everyone of the team members went out of their way to answer questions or concerns we had before, during and after the job was completed. We had several quotes before we chose KB CRATE with their quote for our kitchen remodel coming in as seemingly one of the most expensive, but definitely the most efficient and detailed, with every cost transparent and noted before starting the project. Other contractors appeared to eliminate or failed to list items or costs that would create delays or added costs. The team started their day promptly at 7:30 am as scheduled and ended approximately 3:30 pm after cleaning up what was completed for that particular day. We were informed daily which technician would be working in our home on that day and what they would be accomplishing. Each person that arrived was dressed with KB CRATE uniforms with their imprinted names. They were always courteous, friendly and conducted themselves in a professional manor. We would especially like to thank and recognize each person from KB CRATE individually: First of all the owner, Scott who I originally contacted and spoke with first. His friendly voice and business contact made me feel as though I was speaking with a friend. He made a personal video thanking us for choosing their company and also a physical home visit introducing himself. Jeffrey was our sales person and was able to withstand the constant teasing from my husband. Anytime we had a question he was only a phone call away. Brad was our project manager and our "Go To" guy. He would either contact me by text message or a phone call to communicate which service tech would be coming the next day and what work was scheduled to be completed (we were given a daily timeline in our contract folder already). Kitchen & Bath crate did a great job renovating our kitchen & half bath. Everybody was great to work with and very friendly. The whole process was amazing from meeting with their interior designer to pick out our new countertops, colors for the cabinets & cabinet door styles, to them resolving a few concerns we had on our punch list a few weeks after completion. It's been 4 months since they finished and I noticed some of the caulking where the backsplash meets the countertops starting to crack, and they were back out to my house within a week to fix the problem. Once the decision was made to remodel the master bath, everything went smoothly, quickly and professionally. I was not confident in choosing the design but professional designer was provided in picking out everything from the tile, colors to the handles on the cabinets. The project started on time and was even finished a day early! A schedule is provided at the beginning of the project so there are no surprises as to the next step in the project. Our project manager, Doug, was instrumental in suggesting different locations for the light and fan switches. Every employee that worked at our house was polite and accommodating. We have used contractors in the past and were promised start and finish dates but were never followed. Not K&B Crate! I was very excited to get a quote from this company as I had heard good things about them. They made an appt. in a timely manner. They were on time for the appt. But.....the person who came to do the bid wasn't respectful of my home. He stepped into my clean shower with his shoes on then told me how he didn't like the shower enclosure I have because it shows dirt. Then he stepped out of the bathroom into my bedroom with pure white carpet with his shoes ON!! The he said that a bathroom remodel with them starts at 20,000.$. I already knew I didn't want these careless people in my house and wouldn't have paid that for what they would do. So glad when he left my home. We are loving our new kitchen!! I have to say I was pleasantly pleased throughout the whole process. First of all, we loved Willy. He is just a down to earth, funny and easy to talk to guy. He even drove out to meet me in Livermore when we were trying to find that perfect piece of granite. I loved the whole process being laid out in a schedule format so I knew exactly what to expect on what day and some stuff even done a little earlier than planned. I was a little nervous about having to greet workers in the morning as I'm scrambling to get ready and out the door, but I felt so comfortable with the workers that showed up every morning, they were very personable and friendly and greeted in such a welcoming "How are you today? to Have a great day?" when I walked out the door. Steven was especially engaging letting me know how the progress was going and if I had any questions for them about what was going to do on that particular day. Doug also was super easy to talk to and I loved that fact that he texted, so it was easy to communicate with him and he was diligent about keeping me in the loop about the progress. It is obvious you just have NICE guys working for you that truly care about the work they are doing and it reflects in my kitchen. I was especially thrilled that AAI was your tile contractor, because we have been doing business with them for years and believe in the values of craftsmanship and work they provide and I was not disappointed, a couple of days after the kitchen was done I noticed a blemish on the granite and one of their guys that lives around the corner from us stopped on his way in to work to look at it and even fixed it right there on the spot! I really can't say enough good stuff about your company and the people that work for you. Everyone that has come to look at it has said the same and what shocks them the most is that is was done in 11 days and finished on time, not the case with a lot of contractors that some people I know have used. A lot of people have also asked why I chose your company and I told them because of the reviews of previous customers and the timeliness of the work completion.
