Today killed our desire to go back. If I (72 years old) leave the bathrooms to ask the clerk if someone can tell me where they store the toilet paper and NO ONE DOES ANYTHING ABOUT IT between that and when we checked out over a half hour later???? NOT COMING BACK. The check out clerk, Grant, had a lame and could-not-care-less attitude, "I told someone," for us. And, the bathrooms have not been cleaned or attended to in a long, long time. Quick in and out. I was in the market for a toaster oven for the pop up tent, and an internet search showed they had a Black and Decker on sale for just $20!! I went to the kitchen area and found one with no trouble. After going through the maze of the checkout line, I noticed they had a whole wall of them just inside the entrance. Lol. Only one checker, but a second person came over and I checked out quickly. Friendly and nice guy who rang me up. And just FYI, that toaster oven worked great for morning toast and I even baked chocolate chip cookies while camping! read more

Admittedly I have not been here in a minute. BUT I did have them on my wedding registry and they had everything I pretty much wanted. I did order at the end of last year a simply human garbage can and they came and brought it to my car, hands free, clear cut transaction. They had always given me coupons, worked with me and our registry and exchanges or returns and other than a confused register worker and maybe some misunderstanding of who was ringing people up here and there, overall it has been smooth. read more

I ordered some lights that turned out to be of poor quality. So I called their return dept & was told that's fine. I received return label instructions via email which I used to return the items in the same condition within two weeks of purchase. How ever I was not refunded in full. When I called & questioned the partial refund, I was told I was charged shipping fees for the return even though their rep who I spoke with initially about it never disclosed to me I would be charged return shipping fees. Also, the return instruction emails they also failed to inform me about any return shipping fees either. Now they are refusing to refund me those return shipping fees which they failed to disclose to me in advance. So they are me ripping off my money. First, I love shopping there. What I am really upset about is their emails. Every day! Sometimes more!!! And the bigger problem is trying to unsubscribe. You have to go through the first page. Then you have to completely fill out their page that requires your email address which they already have because that's what you're trying to stop! Then you have to give them your name, address and phone number!!!!! Most companies just ask you a couple of questions, hit the unsubscribe button and you are unsubscribed. Besides craft stores, I could spend some serious time browsing in home goods stores like this one. Once I spent hours shopping my first time in an Ikea. Most of the time I come in here knowing what I'm looking for, but sometimes it's fun to just look around and see what's new. For years I've heard people from other areas talk about how they bought makeup at their local Bed Bath & Beyond. Fresno FINALLY got on that train too because there's now a corner of the store dedicated to makeup, beauty, personal and health care supplies. If you read my other post you will see I am all about customer service. I have bought items from the location my times in the past and found their customer service to be ok. Today they reached the bottom of the barrel! The way they have you get in one line to checkout is the dumbest thing I have ever seen or heard of. There was and elderly couple, I would say late seventies, they went to a register, but was told to go to the one line way across by the front door. They both had canes, when they got to the front of the line they were called to the register way back across the store, where they came from ( how stupid is that). When I got to the front of the line they called me way back across the store. I commented to Michelle (store employee) why they do the check out that way, talk about a attitude. She fired off and said that's the way corporate wants it, I said you had that couple, and pointed at them walk way back over here. She gave me and my wife the if you don't like it too bad conversation. Well, I told her I do not want anything I had in my basket (200 to 300 dollars worth) and walked out. What was cool there was a couple behind us, who pushed their basket down and aisle and left also. 34 reviews 3 stars or less is failing in my books and that's what this store has. I ordered a "Paris end table" which had a delivery date of 11/3/20. It didn't arrive so I called the store and was assured it would show up the next day. It didn't. Over the next 3 weeks, I called customer service numerous times trying to find the whereabouts of my delivery. I was told to call Fed Ex (that'"s my job?). I did and they showed "pending, waiting on product from vendor. Fed ex had not rec'd the shipment, only the label. I had 3 customer service people say they would "reorder" the table for me, but never rec'd any confirmation of that happening or new shipping information. I finally went 30 miles to the store so I could talk with a store manager. He said to cancel, wait for the refund and then order it again. Well now, a month and a half later, they have lost my business. Other stores sell the same table. Very disappointed with BB&B. read more

ATROCIOUS CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM DARREN, THE MANAGER Yep, another one star review. So I went there to exchange a sandwich maker whose box came totally damaged from their website. After getting attitude from behind the Customer Service desk who could not look up on their computer to see if they had another one in the store, they called someone to come and help me. The new person told me within a few seconds that they do not have any in stock and wanted me to return it and have her order another one for me. I told her that I bought the sandwich maker as part of a $20 off $80 purchase and I would lose my discount if I did that. She kept insisting that I do that. When I struggled to read her name (Monica) off her nametag which was vertical on her shirt, she said I was being rude. I am a 61 year old man. I don't a millennial princess telling me I was rude. She then walked away refusing to help me (I did not know they could do that). I then said to her, "You need to go on a diet. Now that's being rude," to show her what rude really is. Someone from behind the Customer Service counter said she would get someone else to help me. Monica then said OVER THE STORE INTERCOM, "This customer is very rude. Don't send anyone else to help him," for the whole store to hear. I did not know they could do that either. This was inexcusable. I then just left the store with my damaged sandwich maker box. I finished my next, nearby errand early and went back to the store to talk to the manager who is Darren. He motioned for me to follow him outside the store. He then said, "You yelled at my staff. That's all I need to hear." I did raise my voice when Monica would not listen to my concern, but it was far from yelling. I pleaded for him to listen to my side of the story. He reluctantly agreed and kept interrupting and wanted to go back inside. He even asked me my age because I should not talk to a young woman that way (the going on a diet comment). I tried to tell him I said that to prove a point, but he walked back inside the store before I could tell him. He was rude, impatient, insensitive and unprofessional. He even told me that he had contacted corporate about me after I had left the store the first time. Oh, he also said that there was a way to return and re-order the item without my losing my $20 off $80 purchase discount. I told him that Monica never told me this. Of course, he blamed it on me and said I never gave her the chance. Horrible, entitled manager and staff work at this store. Just learned after many years that Bed Bath and Beyond does not publish negative reviews so that explains why we get lousy sheets, dull knives, non-stick pans that everything sticks to. Customer service is terrible. I was at the cash register, and then cashier, who didn't speak very good english, told me that there is a line. OK, I understood. Then she said, "you have to get here quicker." Now that wasn't necessary, and was uncalled for. I think it was rather rude. So I stood in line, then when I went to the cashier for checkout, she rung up my one item, told me the total, and then just looked around at something else while I was holding my money in front of her. I was in the store this morning looking for a few things when I was greeted by a nice young man named Isaac, asking if I needed some assistance,I told him what I wanted and he escorted me to the product I was looking for (not just point or give directions like some clerks do, or worse, find another clerk to ask). Isaac was very polite and helpful, he ended our encounter with a "please let me know if you need anything else, I will be happy to help"! Like really? wow, where did he come from! Then I heard him go ask a couple in the bedding section if they needed any assistance, which they gladly accepted. It's nice to have someone who actually pays attention to the customers and recognizes the "look of confusion" or the "where is it" look. I wish every company in America had a staff of "Isaac's" working for them. It was obvious Isaac truly enjoys customers and being helpful, and if his parents are reading this, Great Job! He is a very sincere and polite young man. I hope someone from corporate is also reading this, If I were the CEO of this company and knew I had someone like Isaac...he would be given the role for training the staff, nation wide, on how to provide excellent customer service, which is a rare these days. If you're thinking about registering here.... Really poor customer service at this location. They didn't know how to deal with returns ... We were asked if we would continue shopping and then got pushed from one register to another. First we could go to any. Then we had to go back to the first. All this while pushing a ginormous microwave. Seems like they really need more help and coordination on their team ... I have always loved the wide selection of household goods and endless supply of 20% coupons for BB&B. But my last experience was....should I say......annoying? This review is mainly to yelp about the wedding registry service. I never realized how exhausting this process was...especially since the registry specialist I had is a psychotic stepford wife who has been doing this job for waaaay to long showing me around. I couldn't quite figure out if she was coming off a long night filled with cocaine and booze or if she just drinks ridiculous amounts of coffee. Either way she scared the s*$#@ out of me right off the bat. She talked faster than a guy running an auction and pretty much tried to rush me through the whole process. It's kinda like she had a script memorized in her head from doing this job for so long she wasn't even listening to me. I didn't even have time to think about what I wanted! And what was strange was that I was the only one there registering. It's not like she had a huge mob of brides she needed to get through. I bought a hand mixer here the other day. Thirty minutes later I found one I liked much better, so I returned the BBB mixer. That had to be the smoothest most hassle free return experience of my life. No third degree, no snotty attitude, just one question to determine if it was broken at all and it was a done deal. I also bought a wedding gift here a few months back. The registry guy was very helpful and I appreciated that they wrapped and shipped our gift directly to the newlyweds at no charge. Looking back, I've bought quite few things at this store and I've been happy with most of them. I'm not sure why it took me so long to review it, but here it is. For a hassle free, moderately priced shopping experience for various and sundry household items, Bed Bath and Beyond is a good choice. Be sure to sign up for their mailing list. I want to preface this by saying that I am a huge fan of BB&B. I love the store, the selection, and the prices. This review is specifically meant for the Bridal Registry Department. We chose to create our registry here because of all the reasons listed above. We didn't want our guests to just be limited to Macy's. Horrible. Everything about it was absolutely awful. The woman who started our registry was a frantic, basket case and had no idea how to calmly handle any situation in regards to customer service. The department was busy and she couldn't handle it at all. She made us feel rushed and stressed. When she was typing our information into the computer, she got it wrong FIVE TIMES. Even though our paper was filled out with the correct numbers and spellings, we had to keep telling her to change certain things. She had to type in our password for us and we couldn't see it because it was "******". Guess what, she spelled it wrong! When got home and I had to have my password emailed to me. She absolutely had to hand walk us around the store and interject her opinion. Luckily, we were able to tell her that we didn't need her help and she finally left us alone. She was basically telling us what we needed for our home and our wedding and her opinions were WAY off base. Most couples were leaving with their registry cards already printed for them on nice cardstock style paper. We got ours in the mail several days later, printed crooked on sheets of plain printer paper. When we went to make our gift returns after the wedding, we had to wait in the line up at the front and then go to the back of the store to get our registry printed. She was there and in the same frantic mood (there was NO ONE around this time) and wouldn't truly LISTEN to what I was asking her for. When we finally got the registry printed, we got away as soon as we could to buy our final items. Luckily, we won't have to be dealing again with her anytime soon.... read more

I bought a feather pillow from this store. It wasn't cheap. $130-a year ago. I would have called right away but when I discovered this issue-we had just begun with the first Covid lockdown. I went to wash the zipper cover and found a ton of feathers outside the actual pillow and inside the cover. I've had feather pillows my whole life and I've never seen this before. The receipt from this establishment says 10 year guarantee. NOT FROM THE MANUFACTURER BUT ON THE RECEIPT When I called to inquire, the salesperson, a man, I wish I'd taken his name, was VERY RUDE AND IMPATIENT. He told me it was a manufacturer's guarantee Odd since it was printed ON THE RECEIPT!! He almost lost what cool he did maintain, when I told him I didn't have the receipt handy, but then corrected himself at the last minute- -NOT before I gleaned his anger, however. He then says impatiently, "If you get the receipt and bring it in, I'll look at it and see if I can find the manufacturer's phone number". I told him the name of the company on the phone so I don't understand why I'd have to drive all the way to the store and after his surly attitude over the phone, I was not about to deal with them/him in person. However, they made us go in the long purchasing line and people were purchasing in the customer service area when their purchasing stations were wide open with cashiers waiting. The signs are very misleading. Won't go again. **UPDATE** I had to come back here and I really didn't want to because they carried something I can only get there. I just realized another bad thing about this place. All the check outs were empty, but they still use customer service for purchases, which is very poor. They have the money to hire more people. The stuff they have in there is so damn expensive. They also don't have shopping cart stalls in the parking lot, and yet they have the money, so there are many lazy people who don't want to walk back in the heat to drop the cart off and they would leave it in parking stalls. This interaction however really rubbed me the wrong way because I could tell that this girls attitude was just her personality. I was given a coupon for $20 off of a certain amount when I walked in the door. For some reason I was under the impression that it was 20% off, which was a mistake on my part. When I was checking out I said to the younger female cashier, "I also have this coupon" to which she replies "no." and continues to tell me my amount which I owed so that I would pay. I thought maybe she hadn't heard me so I said again, "Can I also use this coupon?" and she says "no" again then goes onto start pointing at the letters on the coupon saying, "It says $20 off of an $80 purchase and your total is $55". Okay that's no problem at all! What is the problem is that you failed to explain that the first time and just replied with "no", and instead of simply saying your purchase doesn't qualify, you go on to explain the coupon like I am a kindergartner. Not a huge deal and I doubt that she's a bad person, but working in retail I know that there's nicer, and more professional ways of explaining things and this experience definitely rubbed me the wrong way. Bed, bath and beyond has mostly everything you need to add to your house collection of stuff. They are pretty big and also have pretty good deals on their merchandise, so I give them props for that. So why the one star you might ask. Well their customer service is flat out horrible. Mostly, if not all of the employees I encountered here, to ask for help are extremely rude and seem to have this "I'm better than you" attitude and while also seeming prejudice at the same time. I have shopped here multiple times, because of the great merchandise and to also give them another shot, but every time I have the same rude, prejudice experience. Today was the last straw, and they will no longer be getting my services. I would rather shop somewhere, where I would not be judge period, definitely not on the color of my skin. I like the gadgets and widgets that are fun to play with and try out. But it's like a rummage sale trying to find a specific item from a gift registry. The people are more than happy to help but even they have trouble finding items sometimes and they set the planograms. One of the biggest problems is the gift wrapping station was moved to a cut out by the restroom and only 2 people can fit at one time. Let along your basket with your gifts and belongings, either you crowd up the tiny room or block the hallway to the restroom. The tables are so high that if you are in a wheelchair you are just out of luck. Setting yourself up for a law suit! read more

I did their online "reserve online pay/pickup in store" to order two BB-8 droids by Sphero. They were promised to be held for 48 hours. I went in tonight to pick them up and they had sold them to someone else. Meanwhile someone had put aside two for me. They were actually just display boxes! This is terrible and I was completely devastated not just because I was excited for this toy but because I promised one for my nephew and now he is crying his eyes out and now I'm seen as the jerk of the family. read more
