Ok, my first time shopping at this location & the cashier lady was rude. Before I left, I took a glance at her name tag & it says "coordinator". Anyways, every time this woman spoke she'd chew her gum really loud... & when it was time to hand me back my cash, instead of handing it directly to me, she placed it on the table & mind you the change back involved a lot of coins. OMIGOSH, has this store ever changed . . . into a messy dump! No longer is this a pleasant, clean, organized store that makes you want to shop, browse, and buy - the whole claustrophobic mess just makes you want to LEAVE, pronto! All of the shelving has been shoved WAY too close together, making browsing unpleasant - it's nearly impossible for two people to pass each other in the aisles (and that's without a cart - WITH a cart it can't be done at all) - and apparently the staff count has been cut also, because this store is a completely disorganized mess. The niece, middle sister, her dude and I came here on 12/02/20 to do some holiday shopping. In my 28 years of life I have never been to Marshall's and I don't know I never did but maybe I do as I can easily go broke here! I stole my niece while her mom and her dude shopped and the niece and I explored the store! We both were excited on the things we saw especially the toy section for the little one. I let her pick out something we could do together when she comes over to my home and she picked out a map puzzle and ping pong. They have a lot of cute things here very seasonal items to unique items. A staff member stopped me and complimented me on my outfit as I only wear dresses and now winter I just add leggings with my uggs so that was sweet of her! They have A LOT of Starwars items which I know my dude will love so I am definitely coming back as time goes on as he would love these things as gifts or just cause! My niece was like Uncle (my love) would love this! Pointing at all the Starwars gear. Anywho, staff was very friendly and wearing face mask. Overall the sister loved Marshall's and found unique items here for Christmas. The store was very clean and organized. I definitely will be coming back to check out their items year round! read more

Great friendly staff. The store was clean and well stocked. I was expecting this store to be packed and expecting shelves to be empty after the holidays. There was full staff at the cashier registers. They made the checkout line move really fast. I was almost at the end of the line and I think I waited no longer than 5 mins. They had a good selection of clothes for men, women and kids, soaps, shoes, purses, home and pet supplies. I normally am able to find decorations or clothes that I like and there are lots of deals for inexpensive gifts. They also had a pretty good selection on toys. My daughter is usually able to find Barbies that she doesn't have already. Sometimes it can get a little messy but I see one or two staff members trying to organize. read more

I have been to this Marshalls pre-Covid and always felt this store was clean and organized to begin with. I was really impressed today by their Covid practices. When you enter the foyer where you grab a cart, they had a clerk there that was sanitizing carts so I saw it was being done. Then as soon as I entered the store there was a woman standing there with a station that hand hand santizers, paper towels and sanitizing supplies in case you wanted to wipe down your own cart and hands. They one way directional paths marked out as well as social distancing signs and markers on the floor at checkout. The cashier stations had boards in-between cashiers and I saw the staff physically wiping down the counter and payment machine between customers. They also offered Apple Pay but you still have to touch the screen to confirm if you want a receipt printed or emailed. read more

Of course, on the way to check out they have goodies to tease you with! I bought birthday cake macaroons too! Yum! The worker was very kind at checkout! I was looking for faux plants and wanted to check at a store nearby, but there were about 20 people lined up outside waiting to go in that store when I arrived. I saw there was no line at Marshall's so I started my search there instead. I didn't find anything that I really liked this visit and didn't have time to just browse around when I was there. It is a good store to dig around through, though. You never know what bargains you may find. A long line of people waiting to check out when I left, so be prepared for a wait. read more

Out of the three discount retailers at Marketplace at El Paseo (Burlington Coat Factory, Ross, Marshalls), this store was shockingly clean and organized. BCF and Ross looked like a tornado demolished the stores, so how does Marshalls keep so clean? They were just as busy as the others, but it was clean. The store was very clean and well managed. The line was super quick. I went on a Friday evening at about 7:30. I found what I needed right away. Unfortunately, one of my items did not have a price sticker on it. The clerk, Nicholas T., was great. Another employee quickly went to do the price check. Nicholas was kind and encouraging while I waited. He had a great disposition, was friendly, and really made me smile. I'm thankful for such upbeat employees. They make your shopping experience better. Tried to fill out the Marshall Feedback survey online, but it said they were no longer doing it, which is weird because it was printed on my receipt. Did someone book me on a first class ticket to Marshalls because damn this Marshalls is first class in every way. Nicest Marshalls ever in Fresno out of the three (2015) !!! I love everything about this Marshall, because it is out of the ordinary, its so shiny and new, and beautifully decorated, feels almost like shopping at a Macy's or Nordstrom. Its also very organize and well kept, while their inventory is of a better selection too since its new and not attacked yet by the rest of Fresno. I call it the virgin Marshalls till its defiled when the rest of Fresno knows about it. Marshall is a an off-price discount department store, all us bargain lovers should have known that by now, since we have all have shipped at Marshall at least once right? If this is your first time, get excited bargain shopper and bring those plastic cards because you have not lived till you shopped at one of these stores. I always feel like its almost like a factory outlet store but better, since I don't have to drive so far to get to one. What I love about Marshall is the variety of goods I could get here. While I shop for my mens clothing, I could also shop for my fragrances, my home furniture to make my home look all chic, and at the same time buy that gift for the birthday girl or boy for my friends kids, since they have kids selection here too. Plus if its halloween, consider halloween decorations done, because they have it too in their seasonal section. Best part my mum and my sister can come and shop at the same time for their outfits, bags, shoes and accessories and I didn't even have to wait since I was preoccupied myself. I also had a friends Wedding I had to attend, oh look at that cute gift! its $20, but actual retail price is $60, and its available here at Marshalls too? the saving is unbelievable! I usually hate marshals but today I managed to score the entire line of my favorite hair care product for around 60 bucks!!!! It was like a 200 dollar value!!! I love going to marshals it's one of my favorite stores always associate so willing to help you and what not. But today I had an experience that I have never had before especially at this location. There was a very rude employee I wish I would've gotten her name because I would've mentioned it! She was an older lady and I always respect my elders so I had to bite my tongue, I was looking at a cart that had some items in it that was going to be put out on display she asked me please do not go through it because you can cut yourself if something is broken. I simply said oh I'm sorry as she responded back to me well yeah you are?! Excuse me is that how you respond back to somebody who is apologizing for something?! Angela, the store coordinator, left 2 customers waiting in line wondering if anyone was working the cash register. I went to go look for someone and found her. She told me she is the clerk, but she was helping a customer. So the two paying customers just had to wait because store coordinator broke rule one (dont leave the cash register) and could not critically think to phone another employee who works the floor to assist the customer that lured her from the store patrons wanting to pay for their merchandise. This is my go to place for everything and anything. I went in today right after opening and the store is so clean and organized! The cashier was soooo sweet and fast at ringing everything up ( I have a teething 13 month old) so any mom knows the importance of fast customer service! Logic just does not exist here. Wife does a return a couple of days ago and they give her a merchandise credit card. No biggie. A return, use the money on a different day. So we try to go in tonight and pick up a couple things just to spend them and not hold on to them. 1 card had $2 and some change and the other had $3 and some change. When she goes to use them, they did not have her name written on them. I guess Marshall's has a new policy where they write your name on the card for whatever reason. Either way, they didn't write my wife's name on these cards. The manager Maribel basically tried to make it seem like we pulled those cards out of nowhere and tried to use them. Over $5? Really? Either way my wife tried to show her ID, which the merchandise credit card, after it is swiped, has all of that information. My wife tried to show her ID but Maribel's response was "we don't want to go through your personal information" WHAT?!?!?! I guess common sense is what it takes to work at Marshall's. You're basically saying that we can't use the cards without a name written on the card but you ask for an ID when you do a return? And to AVOID YOUR MANAGER'S DUMB LOGIC, it would have been a no brainer. Believe me, we're not trying to get over on $5 worth of stuff. But if you're looking for stupidity and a lack of common sense you've come to the right store. If you take two seconds to analyze the situation Maribel, it'll help you and show your workers the new policy. It was your stores fault for not writing my wife's name on the merchandise card. And it was your fault Maribel for not doing your due diligence as a manager to assess the situation and assume we illegally obtained these cards. read more

This beats the River Park Marshalls by far. The store is organized and looks great, and there is always a huge selection of clearance stuff. It's also in a great location with Ross and Burlington right next door. You never know what you will find, especially at this Marshalls. read more

I came in on Sunday 7-15-18. Found a wallet and walk over to look at the purses. Saw a really cute Michael Kors small black bag.... called over the associate she took it up front I paid and walked out. I played with it with my everyday items and realized is wasn't going to work out. Today 7-19-18 I had an errand to make in Riverpark so I went to that Marshals. Manager said she couldn't take it back because the numbers didn't match up on their system and for me to take it back to the original store and if anything that they can look up the cameras wouldn't tell much more. Once I went back to this store same thing happened they took a few minutes to look it over which was fine because I have nothing to hide. The manager Cesar comes over and pretty much repeats same shit from the last store. I told him to look up the cameras because I came in bought that bag with those tags and walked out. He pretty much told me that he would exception this one time. What is there to make exceptions on a item I purchased from there with tags as IS and a receipt that matches the numbers!! He would not tell me what the problem was. I kept asking and he avoided me a few times and I almost started crying cuz at that point I felt like they were accusing me of exchanging the tags or something in that sort. I asked them for the next time what can I do so this doesn't happened again and can avoid it and I was pretty much ignored. Please if you go and decide to spend $170.00 keep an eye out for the items cuz that is a big chuck of change for a mistake they made when pricing. read more
