The great thing about this service is that they will store your clothes for 60 days free of charge which is so helpful during the treatment process. Really glad that I chose Bed Bug Laundry to help me with this process. I definitely recommend! My only issue is that I feel like there should be a little bit more of a formal process, for example a confirmation text about your scheduled pickup/delivery. I wanted to love this service and when I first spoke to a representative, all seemed to be going well. I came back from a trip and thought I potentially could have been exposed. Being 8 months pregnant I wanted to be sure to take all preventative measures. This company rescheduled my pickup 3 different times, which was starting to defeat the purpose as I wanted my luggage treated asap to avoid bringing anything into my home. Finally they came to pick up but I was at work. The luggage( hard shell) was outside the house in contractor bags, under the siding of my house. I just received all my belongings back and there is a bunch of clothes completely ruined with black and blue smudges on it. When contacting the company, they are saying it must be from when I left them outside because it was raining, there was no water on the bags, and I guess when the person treated these items, no one saw any of these stains ? This is an amazing company that deals with a tenacious pest. I was referred to them in August 2018 when my then roommate's living area was found to have bed bugs. Earlier this fall we found a bed bug in our apartment and sent about half our clothing to them. In responding to my initial (somewhat panicky) email, they were understanding and really helpful. A week or so later my partner pulled out an old sweater and got bites, resulting in us wanting to send the other half of our clothes to them. I was struggling for weeks during this pandemic trying to find a service to help my infestation out while moving into my new place, it was getting to the point where critters would fall out of my PJs when I woke up. After contacting Chris and setting up an appointment, my problems were rest assured. First of all, I want to say that the service is very fluid. Chris goes into a lot of detail talking about what he plans to do when he gets your possessions and makes sure you know what you're getting. It's easy to see that Chris is really experienced when he gives you the run down and how he deals with any issues or questions you have. They charge a great rate for what you're getting. They come to where you are, pack up all possessions you ask for, fumigate it, and bring it over to where you're going. The most incredible part about it all is how neatly everything is packaged. The articles of clothing I asked to be treated where in closed bags and when I got to opening all the packages, everything was there. I cannot recommend Chris and his team enough if you are dealing with a Bed Bug Issue in NYC. If you suspect an issue, look no further! After working with an exterminator and weeks of finding dead bugs in the apartment (make sure you get your place sprayed twice within 14 days), Chris was able to come by and help determine that the bugs were migrating from another unit or building. Unfortunately for me, this meant there was very little I could do to solve the problem since we couldn't spray the "nest". Once I decided to move out of my apartment, Chris and his team charged me a very reasonable rate to pack everything up and fumigate inside the moving van. If you decide to move due to a bed bug issue - HIRE CHRIS - fumigation is the only way to ensure you don't take a bug or an egg with you. During the entire process, Chris and his team were kind, understanding, and helped me get my sanity back. Everyone from laundry pick up to moving crew were friendly and great to work with. I wouldn't wish bed bugs on anyone in this world and I am so happy that I found Chris and his team. As soon as you get on the phone with him, you will feel immediate relief. He was incredibly kind and so so sympathetic to my situation. I almost feel like he missed his calling as a very specific kind of therapist. Pickup was really easy - aside from having to sort through bed bug riden linens. I categorized my items and labeled my bags myself, and the man who came to pick up my things had so much additional information on bed bugs in general. He advised me that this isn't the worse case he's seen, and even told me it looked like my apartment had them well before I even moved in given markings on the wall. He assured me that it would be ok, and he was glad I found them. In the midst of my nightmare, I was also dealing with a landlord who was blaming me for bringing bed bugs into his building (I later found out there were 2 other unreported cases on my floor within the same month) who eventually let me break my lease so he, "didn't have to deal with me anymore." Chris and his team came to pick up all of my belongings and also stored them for the better part of the month while I found a new place to live (this is included in the cost!). Drop-off was my favorite part! They brought my things in unmarked bags in an unmarked car which was SO clutch seeing as I just moved in with new roommates. The guy who dropped my things off was even like "Hey, just a regular old laundry delivery here!" Everything was as good as new. Nothing was damaged, nothing was missing, and the best part is that they were BED BUG FREEEEEE. If you're hesitant about using Chris and his team due to cost (like I was), don't be. 3.25 stars Big thanks to the friend who dropped off one bed bug in my couch, thus forcing me to clean my entire wardrobe of clothing. Besides the cleaning, etc of things, strangers coming in (and yes, they thought I was crazy, it was one bug. Really. But you can never be too safe) and spraying chemicals, it was the dilemma of where I what I was going to do with all of my coats. I scoured the internets and found BBL. Now the reviews are great, but I'm a little cautious of them, considering none of these people have their pictures up and the style is the same, so I was really apprehensive about giving my priceless clothing to a stranger. I called Chris, who is really friendly and he emailed me a list of their services, which is less expensive than dropping them off at the cleaners and also less hassle, since they pick up and drop off anywhere. Once he came to pick up the many bags of jackets, etc I was relieved, but still anxious because I technically just gave my clothes to a complete stranger. Trying not to freak out ( I did as much research as I could) I didn't find much info and thought, hey, if my stuff doesn't come back, it doesn't come back. Although I was informed of the process and told that they also do laundry I guess my apprehension came from the lack of transparency, like where exactly where they located. When the sprayings in my apt were done, I phoned Chris to let him know that I'd like to get my items back a few days after that. They are really great about drop off hours and he was able to drop off my items in the early evening. One bag had a lot of my coats neatly folded and stacked on top of each other, so I could tell they had at least been handled. My other items looked as if they were hurriedly shoved into a bag (noticeable since the neat bag had my last name and "1 bag" written on it. The charge wasn't much and he was able to use a Square to charge me, which was convenient. Afterwards I told him that I was going to hang up my items, since everything was sprayed, said lone bug found, crisis averted. He warned me to wait a while, since you never know. I almost heeded his words until I turned over the second , rushed bag to find a huge hole in the bottom of it! I mean, what does it matter now? Sigh. I'd recommend this service because it's affordable, but honestly you don't know what you're getting. How am I to know that my things weren't just put outside? Thank goodness my clothes didn't have any bb's on them. Also be sure to itemize what was sent, because they don't do it for you, so you won't know if things get mixed up or lost. Chris was a LIFE SAVER and am absolute gem of a human being!!! We had been battling six weeks of bugless bites. Having installed climb up devices in the living room and bedroom, and using a host in the bedroom, we were able to isolate the culprit to the bedroom. Three doctor appointments later, two inspections, elimination of fleas, mosquitos, carpet beetles, spiders and NO traces of bed bugs, we received a recommendation to toss the wooden bed frame. My intuition said to dismantle the bed frame before the clothes. Once we removed all of the screws, the joist fell to the floor and hit the wood.... out rolls a SINGLE bed bug!!!! We suspect it was a baby male who hitched a ride into the apartment and feasted on us for six weeks until he was fully grown. Super grateful it was not a pregnant female. As a result of finding the bugger, we missed the window to launder our clothes that night. We were leaving out of the country for 10 days the next day and out of options. We called Chris the next morning and he texted 10 minutes later at 6:30AM! He was so accommodating, professional and empathetic. He made arrangements to pick our clothes up in the morning and deliver it before 8pm the SAME DAY. If it wasn't for him, we would have been going on vacation stressed out and without clothes. When we tried to tip him, he kindly declines and instead said "thank you, have a great adventure". This service was great. Chris is a great guy, is really Communicative and went into a lot of detail. What I liked best is that he was so patient. I was kind of freaking out about bed bugs, my possessions and he spent a lot of time on the phone with me, walking me through the process and was even more knowledgeable than some exterminators I spoke to. I also really appreciated how much time he spent helping me out before I even agreed to use the service. Chris was also available to help out when I had questions. Silvio was also a really nice friendly and diligent guy when it came picking up and dropping off my clothes, he was flexible with timing and gave mE about a 20 minute heads up that he was arriving. The pricing is pretty good. It doesn't seem much more than a standard laundry service, I expected it to cost a bit more per pound, but it does add up since you're sending them probably everything so that probably why it's a bit cheaper which I appreciate. Just my luck. Moved into a new apartment, and 3 weeks in...bedbugs! I calmly called for an extermination, but then started having a nervous breakdown when I realized what an undertaking the prep work for a bedbug treatment would be. Moving furniture from the walls and bagging up all my belongings was one thing, but washing/heat treating every piece of clothing/bedding I own is...wow. Especially being a small single girl in a walkup with no laundry in the building. It would have taken me ages to do all that laundry. A friend of mine did a quick Google and sent me this place. I decided for the sake of my sanity I just had to do it. So I bagged up all my clothes (except for one bag to hold me over), labeled them up, and Bed Bug Laundry NYC came and picked them up on a weeknight after work (the 8pm-10pm window was best for me). Most of my clothes were clean already, so I mostly did "heat and fold," and limited myself to one bag of dry cleaning. During the time that my clothes were in storage with BBLNYC, I talked to someone who had used a similar service and had a horror story of being served with a bill so outrageous that she abandoned her clothes and started a new wardrobe. So I was becoming very nervous about getting my clothes (and invoice) back. 4 weeks later, I felt secure and bedbug-free enough to get my clothes returned. I breathed a sigh of relief as my invoice was not insane. I had a lot of clothes, and it came to $470, $440 after the Yelp deal. There's no other words for it. Not only is their service great and I think reasonably priced, but as most of the reviews here will tell you, the customer service is impeccable. I decided to use their services after finding them on Yelp and reading all the great reviews. I was having a meltdown after I found out about my *situation*, and I knew washing my clothes and treating other stuff myself was going to be impossible, at least without me sticking my head inside a washing machine. Chris couldn't have been more gracious and patient. He answered all of my dumb questions promptly (and believe me, I had a tone of those! I was panicking!), without ever feeling like he was judging me or I was annoying him in any way. You know there's a lot of businesses that make you feel like that! Our stuff was stored for several weeks while we waited for the treatments to be over. In the mean time, Chris was available to answer any concerns we had. The only issue we had (and calling this an issue is really exaggerating), was a little confusion over the delivery of our stuff; since I was the one who contacted them to let them know we were ready to have our stuff delivered, we only received my stuff, not my roommate's. Chris responded to my text immediately and we scheduled a delivery for the following day. As I said, excellent customer service. Everything was perfectly folded, nothing was damaged. Having bed bugs is one of the worst, most stressful and heartbreaking situations I've come across. Because of that, I look for any way that will help me to manage it more easily. Rather than spend all day in the laundromat, only to have to do it again if the infestation is not completely taken care of, I called these guys. Now, at first it is super scary to give all your stuff to some random guy with no guarantee they are going to return. But they did, and all my stuff was neatly folded and wrapped in double plastic. Sadly, because my neighbor has bedbugs and won't take care of them, I have to use them again. But I am so glad that they are there when I need them! And it is great, because I am moving, so I can get pickup at my infested apartment, and have the clean clothes dropped off at the new one! They were very friendly and did a great job- everything was washed, folded and dry-cleaned very well. My only gripe is that it was about twice as expensive as we had anticipated- about $850 for a two person household. Most things were priced really well, actually... they just dry cleaned more than they needed to in our opinion. So, my only advice is to tell them what not to dry clean b/c some items, such as cheap dresses and jeans could have been thrown in the wash. It seems like a nice family business and it is nice to have someone else take care of our enormous amount of laundry and dry cleaning in a time of need. *updated advice- bedbugs came and went a few times after getting this service, so it was not very useful. Bedbugs tend to stay near the bed, and not so much in your closet. Don't freak out- just call an exterminator and expect that they will come once or twice and get a mattress cover. read more

They packed up my entire apartment, fumigated it, then moved it all to my new apartment when I was ready. Scheduled a pick up for my clothes, and not only did they not show up, they didn't respond to my emails until hours after the set appt. time. That being said, when they did reply, they apologized and sent over a pick up guy within fifteen minutes of replying to my email. The guy who picked it up was very nice. So now all my nice clothes (I am only doing dry cleaning and heat treatment as I washed all washables myself) are in their care. I'm a little nervous, but hopefully all will turn out well.
