They still do a good job with the laundry, but there have been too many "kinks" for my liking. 1) delivery mishap 1 - I have indicated several times to deliver to my door at a specific date and time, but they haven't heeded this because apparently, they deliver "whenever" if you live in a doorman building. Part of why I get this service is so that I don't have to lug all my pounds of laundry with my skinny arms... and even if I noted this several times in the order, it's gone ignored until after it's been dropped off. What's the point of putting a note in your order if it goes ignored several times? 2) delivery mishap 2 - delay. Initially I was told that it's because my credit card info was updated too late. When I questioned them about why they said "you're all set" without confirming/denying a delay, they then said it's because the deliveries go out early and they take the steps to load the delivery vehicle even with those whose payments aren't confirmed. Then why didn't they tell the driver? If they couldn't reroute why couldn't they tell me? They didn't contact me about a delay until 10pm (my delivery window was 9-10) and that was only AFTER I emailed them. After I question this, they then tell me that there was traffic and an issue at a previous delivery location. Which is all fine (this is NYC after all, and stuff happens), but I don't appreciate the changing story. One plus was that the driver was super nice and apologetic. 3) twice my laundry wasn't all completely folded. They did give me a credit in my account for this, but I thought it went without saying that all of my items should be folded (unless I asked for hang dry)? Why was this even an issue... twice? I may or may not use this service again... it is too bad because I did really like using them, but there have just been too many "kinks" and I'll have to rethink booking with them in the future. read more

I am so excited that I discovered this laundry service. It was easy, quick and convenient to use. There are many wash & fold services I came across while looking for one on yelp, but the reason this one caught my eye was because of the great reviews on yelp, and their website. I LOVED that when I got on their site, they had an online chat feature, so you could ask questions right away. I also liked that you could create an account and then you could track your order from initial pick up to drop off. You can choose a window of time for the pick up and delivery. I placed the order for a pick up around 5pm and the window was from 6pm- 7pm and they arrived by 6:10. I will admit that I did have a problem with the delivery driver. The only reason why I am even bringing it up is because I want to mention how happy I was with their customer service and how they handled the situation. They took my complaint very seriously and went above my expectations to make sure that I was satisfied with their services. I was BEYOND satisfied with the condition of my clothes. They smelled so fresh and I could tell that they really take pride in the presentation of the clothing because the folding was so nice. My undergarments were all put nicely stacked and rubber-banded together, same with my socks, and not one thing was wrinkled or missing. I am definitely going to continue using this service and I am ecstatic that I will never have to drag my clothes from my 5th floor walk up to the laundry mat every again as long as they keep providing service to the Upper East Side! read more

Got my laundry done here, they shrank one of my favorite white tees (see pic attached: normal size left, shrink on right). but the rest of my clothes were good money and fresh af. I can't really blame them, it was a cheap tee. I guess its my fault for buying cheap tees in the first place, they always be shrinking. The shirt fits super tight now, my roommates laugh at me every time I walk around the house in them. I walked to the grocery store wearing it one time and there was a gay parade that day, and brahhh it made me feel uncomfortable. but i'm not even mad doe.. a good thing is when I have shorties over, I let them wear it and it fits them perfectly. I never thought I would ever be paying for laundry pick up and delivery. My parents had always made sure I did these chores myself. It wasn't until I got a last minute call for a job interview, that I went online and searched for these services. Luckily I found Do Laundry For Me, and I was able to get my blazer and skirts picked up on the same day, and dry cleaned and delivered on the next. DLFM gets a solid 5 stars from me. Hands down. I recently overloaded my washer at home and it broke so I had a large pile of dirty laundry sitting around. Too lazy and didn't want to go to that shady laundromat in my area. On my way to a family party the past weekend someone accidentally bumped into me and he got his coffee on my suit and dress shirt. Now I definitely didn't want to look crusty in front of my family and their friends so I did some Yelping and BAM! DLFM was just a couple of blocks away. Got there at 5pm and the guy in the front was super nice and professional. Made me feel at ease on my situation because he said it would be dry cleaned and done fairly quickly. I left the shop for about forty minutes or so for some bubble tea and by the time I came back. Mmmph. My suit looked even better than before. Service was great and the quality was amazing. Was excited to put that suit back on. I had to come back. I brought my pile of dirty laundry at home (and some clean ones too just for the sake of getting them super clean) that following week and was super satisfied with the service once again. My new washer is coming in soon so I'm not sure if I'll be coming here as often, but if my clothes gets in a messy situation and I'm in the area, I'll know where to go. The first month I used this service, it was impeccable. I signed up for a continuous booking every 2 weeks for a small discount. At $1.50 a lb its a bit pricey compared to others in the area but worth it for the ease of pickup/delivery. Also the driver would text to confirm the time he was coming which was helpful. I then contacted them to change my normal pickup/delivery times once summer approached since I would be traveling a lot. This is where things started to slip. The times would keep getting mixed up and they no longer texted so I was never really sure when to expect them. Then they just stopped coming. Calls and emails have gone unanswered and on their site it does not look like they are taking any new business..? At least the form that was there is no longer anywhere to be found. The worst laundry service ever. I have used different laundry services with free delivery, and I found this one the worst. First of all, their pickup /delivery window is 3 hours. That's right. If you don't have a doorman, you have to wait there without knowing when they would show up. Second, the phone number provided on the website does not work. I tried to call and check if the pickup person was coming after I waited for almost three hours, so I called. It went into the voicemail right away... Lastly, it's extremely expensive not because the listed prices online. But they changed the service I ordered!!! I asked for wash and press, but they used dry clean service. I asked for wash and fold for some of my dresses. They dry cleaned them without my consent. I do NOT want those pieces to be dry cleaned. I ended up spending more than double amount of money than I was supposed to. DO NOT use them. UPDATE: Called them asking why the service didn't match what I originally ordered. They are really patient and explained how the worker accidentally swapped two orders. The manager solved the issue quickly and issued a refund, which is really nice of them. read more

It drives me crazy that this place has such good reviews. It began ok, and then they started missing their pick-up dropp-off windows leaving us stuck at the house waiting for them like shmucks. Then a couple weeks ago they just flat out didn't show up with our laundry and we were leaving town the next day! So we were stuck without our laundry for a 3 day wedding weekend. The final straw was this saturday where we had a morning pickup with a window of 7am to 11am, and we waited at home all morning for them to show up, and then some more since we knew they missed their pickup windows (how do you miss a 4 hour pickup window!) and by 1pm we gave up. They were very attentive. I received email updates about my laundry -- not excessive, just quick note to say it was picked up. And any questions I had were promptly answered over email by the owner. Also, they came straight up to my apartment door to pick up my laundry!!! Many other services require me to bring my laundry down to the doorman for pick up. Yes it is a lazy to not even be willing to do that. However, if you are bothering to shell out the cash to pay someone to do your laundry, you might as well get full service!! Especially if you are like me and get A LOT of laundry done at once. "Do Laundry For Me" from my experience, is the best laundromat in NYC. Personally I don't believe in handing my clothes to others because in the past, it lead to my clothes being tighter than leggings (not that I know how tight leggings fit).
