My friend told me about this place and despite its distance from my hotel, I went there. I had a hard time finding out what time they opened. It was very cold so I wanted to make sure my ass wasn't waiting out there too long. Not one hotel near the laundromat could give me a clear answer and you would have thought they would know right? Getting back to the place, it was perfect for my needs. I got the right amount of change, took care of business and waited patiently for my clothes to be dry. Most important thing of this review. Current self service prices as of Jan 31, 2022: $3.75 for small, $5.50 for a large wash. Drying is a quarter for every 6 min. My small load was dry in 30 min on medium. I think for people who live in town, the drop off service would just be easier, but I was in town for vacation, and I needed a place where I could just wash a small load. They do have single serving amounts of detergent, but I brought a travel size packet with me. I stopped by before 10am on a Monday, and there were a few other customers, but plenty of open washers. Very convenient to a number of midtown hotels, clean, and safe. I will definitely keep this place in mind if I'm in need of laundry service the next time I'm in town. read more

I would not drop my clothes off even in desperation. While I washed my own laundry I watched the young man working. Over and over, he crammed other peoples laundry into the machine with almost no space for the clothing to properly wash. I chose this laundromat after reading a few reviews and looking at the photos. We stayed at a nearby hotel which had outrageous prices for laundry service. Found BKM and decided to go for it. Sadly I rarely use laundromats and had to ask the staff for some help. No problem they were helpful; got our cup of quarters, 2 tide pods for two small loads, picked out the small size washer, shoved our clothes in then 3.50 in quarters. At about 2pm it was getting busy. We walked two doors down to the corner Italian eatery (Nizza) to grab a bite and a drink. (We ordered their avocado toast w/side arugula salad!! Delish!!) Went back during our meal to stick clothes in the dryer. My mistake putting it on medium heat for only 18 minutes, clothes still wet. By the time we got back our clothes were in a basket, oops. So we had to wait for another dryer bc they were all being used. This time I put on high heat! Clothes done!! Had a great experience there! read more

The best thing is you can get your laundry picked up and delivered in about 5 hours on the same day. The quality is sometimes very poor. I've had clothing and towels etc come back with stains they never had! Also since they fold the clothes etc. I can't understand how they don't pick off some hair and other things. They are stingy with the fabric softener so sometimes towels and blankets feel like DRY GRASS. If you complain they don't listen, ignore you or charge you extra! They have no sense of customer loyalty so even if you have been a regular for years they simply don't care. Also their time estimates are a joke. They say 20 or 30 mins and they could pick up/ drop off in 10 mins or 50 mins. So you are stuck waiting. If you need it done fast this is an option but there are far better places out there! read more

Recently moved into the neighborhood and needed to tackle my mountain of laundry: 3 week's worth + tons of bedding. The laundromat was as clean as you could expect around here, machines all worked surprisingly well (various washer sizes and huge dryers are available), and the employees were nice and cordial to their customers. They have extra supplies for sale at the back in case you forget anything. Best of all, my laundry was CLEAN! It smelled and felt even better than some in unit washer/dryers I've had in the past. Kind of rude. Just moved to the city so I purchased my laundry bag from them. Dropped it off the next day and had it delivered back. My new white tank top came back stained with what I assume is laundry detergent. Also the bag I had purchased came back with the bottom stitching coming undone so there was a hole. I went here for the first time on Friday. They are polite and friendly. I dropped off my clothes at 4 and they said it would be ready by 7pm. When I arrived at 7, they were still folding it but they apologized and it wasn't too long of a wait. Their prices are reasonable ( I think so), since it would cost me about the same to do my own laundry in my building give or take a few dollars, plus I'm not using my time or have to fold. I know some people complained about the detergent being cheap so I was a bit apprehensive to get my clothes done there ( I have sensitive skin) but I have been wearing my clothes that I got washed all weekend and no issues here. I've been using them for 6 months and they are typically excellent and friendly.. but a few things to watch out for: 1- there's a scooter fee that they hide from you for picking up your laundry. This place is amazing! For a while, I was using a laundromat on 43rd, but out of last minute laundry needs, had to turn to yelp to find this place as a last minute option. Incredibly nice people, and they don't charge less than the regular places. I realize tipping isn't always done for laundry service, but as I've tipped every time, I have received unbelievable service. The people are incredibly attentive and sincere. I had dry cleaning there for 2 weeks, and they never lost it and got the right items to me when I finally had them delivered. They will do same day, sometimes within a couple hours if you catch them at a slow time. They don't pick up very early in the day, but they deliver until 9:30pm! Be aware that it is CASH only. I love that there are honest shops still around. I had just moved into Midtown West and needed my laundry done and returned the same day. I was so skeptical because of some NY Dry Cleaning nightmares. Relied on good ol yelp and saw that this place had some good reviews. Glad I did because they were so quick and efficient. I estimated what 10lbs was, truth be told I had no idea, just threw everything in a large bag and $10 bill. They wrote on a note that I had actually given 12lbs instead of 10lbs and there is still a balance of $2. But what if I never used them again after?? Of course the next time I sent my laundry I remembered and added in the balance, but it's nice to know that there's shops out there that'll give the customer benefit of the doubt. Really sweet family runs this place and they give you nicely folded clothes and actually use dryer sheets all the time - you don't even have to ask! They don't let the clothes get wrinkly and also put all the socks in a separate bag and do their best to match them. My laundromat of choice, even though it's a bit of a walk for me. I upped these guys to 5 stars. In over a year haven't lost anything that I've noticed and the clothes are always fresh and non wrinkled. I saw the gentleman that runs it near port authority and he was so happy to see me and say hello. I love people like this who appreciate life and the small things. First of all, though they advertise as being open till 10pm. The door was locked, when I arrived at 8:45pm. The owner was incredibly rude and nasty. He obviously thinks that if he allows you to pay to do your own laundry there, that the customer is lucky. The customers OWE him! He's forgotten that customers are paying him and he is supposed to be running a business. I asked him why he doesn't just advertise that the doors are locked at 8:30pm? He said because we're still open. Well, the door is locked, so know you're not open to do laundry. I would say, go elsewhere! Anywhere, but here! The owners are warm friendly Chinese couple so they can help me in my native language(definitely a plus), whenever I got the coins stuck or I can't decide which washer to use.
