No frills laundromat on 9th, was close to my hotel and got the job done. Quarters only but they can exchange bills at the front desk. The wash and fold service seemed reasonably priced, but I wanted to wash a couple days worth. $6 for the smaller washer ~25 min and a quarter/6 min dryer, I was out sub-$10 even if I bought the $1 tide pod which was great. read more

Good availability of machines- smaller washers $6 per load...big washers $14 but fit a lot...dryer is 6 minutes per quarter

Good laundromat for a visitor staying at a nearby hotel , had options to purchase laundry pods and provided change and laundry baskets for use between the washer and dryer. Very busy location but plenty of machines of different sizes. Total cost for a large load was $10 read more

I'm crazy about bringing dirty clothes home and with a flight straight across the country, I didn't want t think about having to open my suitcase and the whiff of all that. My friend told me about this place and despite its distance from my hotel, I went there. I had a hard time finding out what time they opened. It was very cold so I wanted to make sure my ass wasn't waiting out there too long. Not one hotel near the laundromat could give me a clear answer and you would have thought they would know right? Getting back to the place, it was perfect for my needs. I got the right amount of change, took care of business and waited patiently for my clothes to be dry. I left happy and would recommend this for anyone crazy like me to get their clothes finished. read more

Bkm Laundromat - Hours as of 3/2022 - Laundromat Near Me - New York, New York

Really good service and the people running the business were exceptionally polite and punctual

Most important thing of this review. Current self service prices as of Jan 31, 2022: $3.75 for small, $5.50 for a large wash. Drying is a quarter for every 6 min. My small load was dry in 30 min on medium. I think for people who live in town, the drop off service would just be easier, but I was in town for vacation, and I needed a place where I could just wash a small load. They do have single serving amounts of detergent, but I brought a travel size packet with me. I stopped by before 10am on a Monday, and there were a few other customers, but plenty of open washers. Very convenient to a number of midtown hotels, clean, and safe. I will definitely keep this place in mind if I'm in need of laundry service the next time I'm in town. read more

Very convenient. Stayed a week with my family around the corner at one of the local hotels that didn't have a laundry room. There's a person that works there in the morning, very helpful. In my opinion the cost to wash is expensive. $6.00 or $8.00 a load to wash depending if you need a medium size washer or larger washer. Drying costs $.25 cents per 6 minutes. Reasonable. They have little bottles of soap for sale; $3.50... They will exchange your cash for quarters. I only took a star away due to the price to wash. read more

I would not drop my clothes off even in desperation. While I washed my own laundry I watched the young man working. Over and over, he crammed other peoples laundry into the machine with almost no space for the clothing to properly wash. I can't imagine that all the clothing would actually get any soap on them. read more

The efficiency of the drop off service and the way they wash, dry and fold your laundry items within 6 hours is so amazing, given how busy their location could get with all the drop on customers. They saved us during our week-long stay on the west side of Manhattan. Highly recommend the place! read more

Great place with hard-working people lots of laundry machines, friendly staff. I will return next time I'm in Providence.

This is my local laundry. The washers and driers are quick and the staff is friendly. It's 3.00 for a small washer, 4.50 for a medium washer, and 7.50 for a large washer. Driers are .25 cents for every 6 minutes. The place is generally pretty clean and you can sit while you wait. They also have a drop off service for 1.25 a pound. read more

3.00 for smaller washer cycle (2 loads), 4.50 for larger washer cycle (3 loads), 0.25 per 6 min in the dryer - comparable and reasonable in price. I was about to give BKM a subpar rating because the washing machines will occasionally eat up extra coins, but the owner is reasonable and will reimburse you for lost coins. Tl;dr - respectable coin laundromat. read more

I used to live in Midtown West on a late 30's street and found this is the best laundromat in the area. There are many dry /French cleaners but just a very few laundromat. They do drop-off service, dry cleaning, alteration, too, at very reasonable price with good-for-the-price quality. People working there are nice to customers, too. read more

Great laundromat. Definitely will come back again. The machine is easy to use. No place can be seated but it's tidy and enough space. Also the price is reasonable. read more

Pretty good for basic wash and dry. I had gotten the drop off and pick up service. Clothes were well packed and clean!

I chose this laundromat after reading a few reviews and looking at the photos. We stayed at a nearby hotel which had outrageous prices for laundry service. Found BKM and decided to go for it. Sadly I rarely use laundromats and had to ask the staff for some help. No problem they were helpful; got our cup of quarters, 2 tide pods for two small loads, picked out the small size washer, shoved our clothes in then 3.50 in quarters. At about 2pm it was getting busy. We walked two doors down to the corner Italian eatery (Nizza) to grab a bite and a drink. (We ordered their avocado toast w/side arugula salad!! Delish!!) Went back during our meal to stick clothes in the dryer. My mistake putting it on medium heat for only 18 minutes, clothes still wet. By the time we got back our clothes were in a basket, oops. So we had to wait for another dryer bc they were all being used. This time I put on high heat! Clothes done!! Had a great experience there! read more

It's a laundromat. Clean. The guy doing change was helpful. Plenty of machines at 7:00 when they open. $7.25 for large load. $4.25 for medium. I was washing my own clothes, can't speak about the service. But as I was there, a lot of locals were coming in for the wash and fold service. read more

The best thing is you can get your laundry picked up and delivered in about 5 hours on the same day. The quality is sometimes very poor. I've had clothing and towels etc come back with stains they never had! Also since they fold the clothes etc. I can't understand how they don't pick off some hair and other things. They are stingy with the fabric softener so sometimes towels and blankets feel like DRY GRASS. If you complain they don't listen, ignore you or charge you extra! They have no sense of customer loyalty so even if you have been a regular for years they simply don't care. Also their time estimates are a joke. They say 20 or 30 mins and they could pick up/ drop off in 10 mins or 50 mins. So you are stuck waiting. If you need it done fast this is an option but there are far better places out there! read more

Great great laundromat. Ive used this the first two months when I first moved to NYC and I love it! They always delivered my laundry when I wanted it and folded everything perfectly. I have never lost an article of clothing from BKM and they deliver on time when you give them the timeframe. If you are in the area look no further for your laundromat! read more

Recently moved into the neighborhood and needed to tackle my mountain of laundry: 3 week's worth + tons of bedding. The laundromat was as clean as you could expect around here, machines all worked surprisingly well (various washer sizes and huge dryers are available), and the employees were nice and cordial to their customers. They have extra supplies for sale at the back in case you forget anything. Best of all, my laundry was CLEAN! It smelled and felt even better than some in unit washer/dryers I've had in the past. Finished 5 loads in under 3 hours. Bam. Next time I don't have bedding I want to try their wash and fold service. Thanks, BKM! read more

They lost my dress shirt and suit pants, did not compensate me for the lost clothing and failed to offer me a refund. While I was satisfied by my previous experiences at the Laundromat, their poor customer service was revealing. I had been going to the laundromat for 3 months before this and was previously happy with my experience. This changed after they lost my $50 dresss shirt and $180 suit pants. They kept avoiding the issuing everytime I visited and refused to take responsibility. You've been warned - go at your own risk! read more

This is a amazing place, I mean, the prices are really great for Hell's Kitchen. I paid $2 per shirt for wash and press and $4.50 for every dress pants. Not only that, but I also paid $6 to get a shirt fixed by sewing a sleeve back to the shirt. At another place I was getting charged about $20 to just sew the sleeve back to the shirt. Yeah, crazy!! With that said, read the many reviews fromYelpers and decided to give this place a try. I have met many of the family members that run the business. it's an Asian family that grew up in Hell's Kitchen and I have to agree with other yelpers; they are Ana amazing clan. They had all my laundry ready for me on the date they had commuters to and were super nice and tried to remember my name. with a few more visits I am sure they will remember it for sure! read more

Pricing is decent especially for wash and press. Very mediocre service for wash and fold. The clothes don't smell fresh after wash and fold. They did not even pair the socks. Note: They require a tip for delivery (it is not optional). My father wasn't satisfied with their service and did not tip, so the delivery person refused to come back to pick up laundry the next time. read more

I love this laundromat. I come here for dry cleaning. Let me start by saying, the family that runs BKM is great, they always remember me, and are very friendly. The prices are the best that I've found in the neighborhood, and they get everything done in an efficient manner. Be sure to drop dry cleaning off between Monday and Friday, as it doesn't operate on the weekend for this service. Cash only. I found this place thanks to great reviews on yelp!! read more

I went here for the first time on Friday. They are polite and friendly. I dropped off my clothes at 4 and they said it would be ready by 7pm. When I arrived at 7, they were still folding it but they apologized and it wasn't too long of a wait. Their prices are reasonable ( I think so), since it would cost me about the same to do my own laundry in my building give or take a few dollars, plus I'm not using my time or have to fold. I know some people complained about the detergent being cheap so I was a bit apprehensive to get my clothes done there ( I have sensitive skin) but I have been wearing my clothes that I got washed all weekend and no issues here. Overall I would definitely recommend this place. read more

I've been using them for 6 months and they are typically excellent and friendly.. but a few things to watch out for: 1- there's a scooter fee that they hide from you for picking up your laundry. I can't figure out if it's $3 each way or both ways. 2- they use a cheap industrial detergent that can irritate sensitive skin. 3- cash only. 4- i recently noticed holes in some of my linens. maybe ask them to be gentle and avoid snags. read more

Kind of rude. Just moved to the city so I purchased my laundry bag from them. Dropped it off the next day and had it delivered back. My new white tank top came back stained with what I assume is laundry detergent. Also the bag I had purchased came back with the bottom stitching coming undone so there was a hole. Next time I went in I pointed it out because it must have been a manufacturing error. The response was "What am I supposed to do about it? I'm not sure you actually bought this bag last week." Their prices are good but do not make up for other aspects. read more

Looks, smells, and feels like a laundromat. Great service and prices- you'll be hard pressed to find this anywhere else in the city. Went in for dry cleaning and my items were finished next day without extra surcharge. Note: Dry cleaning isn't done on premises. Place is open early and closes late (7am - 10pm) - definitely going back this week read more

Great laundromat! Super friendly family that runs it. Always incredibly kind, and willing to help. THey will do whatever you ask them! Great service and price! Cash Only,,, but that is not something that bothers me. read more

Run by a Chinese family, great people. Work hard, are not trying to rip you off (not sure how a laundromat really could but anyway), super friendly and makes everyone feel welcomed. 2.25 for load of laundry (bigger sizes for a little more if you need), 25 cents for every 6 minutes on the dryer. $2 a button down, tailoring is on the cheaper end as well, so I would go to them for that, quality wasn't too shabby either. Good people, great service. read more

This place is amazing! For a while, I was using a laundromat on 43rd, but out of last minute laundry needs, had to turn to yelp to find this place as a last minute option. Incredibly nice people, and they don't charge less than the regular places. I realize tipping isn't always done for laundry service, but as I've tipped every time, I have received unbelievable service. The people are incredibly attentive and sincere. I had dry cleaning there for 2 weeks, and they never lost it and got the right items to me when I finally had them delivered. They will do same day, sometimes within a couple hours if you catch them at a slow time. They don't pick up very early in the day, but they deliver until 9:30pm! Be aware that it is CASH only. But like I said, absolutely worth it. Tip them and you'll get so much more out of this place than any other laundromat. read more

I love that there are honest shops still around. I had just moved into Midtown West and needed my laundry done and returned the same day. I was so skeptical because of some NY Dry Cleaning nightmares. Relied on good ol yelp and saw that this place had some good reviews. Glad I did because they were so quick and efficient. I estimated what 10lbs was, truth be told I had no idea, just threw everything in a large bag and $10 bill. They wrote on a note that I had actually given 12lbs instead of 10lbs and there is still a balance of $2. But what if I never used them again after?? Of course the next time I sent my laundry I remembered and added in the balance, but it's nice to know that there's shops out there that'll give the customer benefit of the doubt. Great efficient service everything came back neatly folded and was soft/clean, I couldn't recommend them more. read more

Great services! Used the drop off / pick up services twice while staying in NY. Polite staff, helpful and turnaround of 4-5 hours is great. All my clothes are clean, smell great and neatly folded. Definitely recommend!! read more

Really sweet family runs this place and they give you nicely folded clothes and actually use dryer sheets all the time - you don't even have to ask! They don't let the clothes get wrinkly and also put all the socks in a separate bag and do their best to match them. My laundromat of choice, even though it's a bit of a walk for me. I upped these guys to 5 stars. In over a year haven't lost anything that I've noticed and the clothes are always fresh and non wrinkled. I saw the gentleman that runs it near port authority and he was so happy to see me and say hello. I love people like this who appreciate life and the small things. I'm the same way and wish I could pay them double every time I picked up my laundry! Wonderful wonderful people and great business. read more

This must be a joke. All the high & good reviews? For what?! The guys ruined 2 of my fav things. I asked to stitch up a hole from the sensor on my fav skirt. Well the whole was stitched up so badly, i could've done it myself. Who did it? A 10 year old??? It coudlve been done way better and now it looks even worse than it was. Then the shirt. Not sure why you have to make a few holes on the inside label. Was crying all evening. read more

Effortless drop off and pick up service and they really take the extra mile in taking care of your clothes.

First of all, though they advertise as being open till 10pm. The door was locked, when I arrived at 8:45pm. The owner was incredibly rude and nasty. He obviously thinks that if he allows you to pay to do your own laundry there, that the customer is lucky. The customers OWE him! He's forgotten that customers are paying him and he is supposed to be running a business. I asked him why he doesn't just advertise that the doors are locked at 8:30pm? He said because we're still open. Well, the door is locked, so know you're not open to do laundry. I would say, go elsewhere! Anywhere, but here! This laundromat is over priced and poorly run by those with a bad attitude and odd sense of entitlement! read more
