Unfortunately, I'm saying "so long" to Fei's. I decided a while back to walk the extra distance to this laundromat because of so many other lousy self-service laundromats on the UES. This one was always clean, attendents were nice, and it was no fuss. Be aware, however, that customer loyalty means very little in the finer points. For example: If you wash at home and want to dry what you've washed they won't allow you this courtesy at their facility. This seems to be a fetish for a number of laundromats on the UES, especially if they are small: it upsets the flow of laundry in, laundry out. I don't think the owner ever shows up there so this is not negotiable. Understandable maybe, given that they must also fit in their drop off service loads. What's harder to understand is the minimum card charge on dry cleaning, especially when you drop off one item, and they don't tell you there is a minimum. Yes, there is a little sharpie-drawn notice off to the side, but it would be nice if the attendent would mention this at the drop-off. Not the attendent's fault, as they work very hard all day long. But this is an owner policy and decision. And after they are compelled to overcharge, they STILL decide to charge an extra 30 cents for the charge. At least the humor is free. And so, as the owner of my clothes, I too, have changed my policy, and made the decision to find another laundromat. read more

I've been coming here to do my own laundry since my previous pick/drop off place messed up. I like it here and have never really had to wait for a washer or a dryer. I think they're reasonably priced for the area. The washer for $4 each and they have two larger sized washers for the bigger loads that are slightly more expensive. Then it's 25 cents for 6 mins for the dryers. They have detergent for sale but I always bring my own. The place is also decently clean and I've seen a worker clean the machines multiple times. read more

The workers are very kind and helpful. BUT they are terrible at their job. Personally, I have done self-service laundry but noticed just how horrendous the workers handle other people's clothes. I think the success rate of clean laundry into a basket is under 30%. Almost everything hits the dirty floor. So if you're like me and you're disgusted by this, never go to this laundromat read more

A rare find in NYC. Dropped off a bag for full service so I dont have to do myself. Friendly welcoming service from the cashier lady right when you walk in the door. Showed appreciation toward me for being a new customer. Today was my first time using this self wash location. Prior to washing my clothes I asked questions to a lady who is an employee about the machines such as cost, how to change water temp, using soap etc. adding money to the machine was difficult because the quarters kept getting jammed, she had to step in pressing the release button several times to reinsert quarters. I also asked if I needed to put the soap in after the machine starts or before. She stated "it doesn't matter when". I used machine #2, one full cap w/ tide liquid soap. About 5 min into the wash I told her the machine wasn't soaping up. She said, "water will start again you can add more soap". I felt two cups was a lot for a small load of laundry but still added the second cup. I told her during the wash my concern because I could see no soap suds. After my clothes were done they were not clean. I politely asked for a refund of the wash and was denied. I will never come back to this location. Should've stuck to taking an Uber to a much better place on York. read more

And the lady who works there is beyond disrespectful I've been twice when I gave my clothes to the guy my clothes were clean the next time I came in and gave it to the woman my clothes literally stinks. If your looking for a place for self laundering this isn't it. I came in to do my laundry and every washing machine, dryer, and rolling cart was being used by the woman working there. If your going to advertise self laundry then you shouldn't have every machine being used for your drop off service. I had to keep asking for a dryer and a cart, etc. read more

I had been going to Feis with exceptional service for about two years. (Except for on Sundays, the staff on Sunday is so unbearable I would avoid going at all costs). Anyway, one day I get my laundry back with someone elses towels, and mine werent there. I was first upset because I have them use specific detergent as i am allergic to their normal stuff, so i was worried about that. Nevertheless, I went back and returned teh towels asking if someone came to give mine back. I was asked to wait a week to see if they turn up. That is reasonable so i said ok. Then two weeks, three weeks, a month later kept asking me to wait, telling me the manager wasnt in. Finally, i was put on the phone with the manager who was unbelievably rude, and said i should just keep someone elses towels as repayment. after a hassle of phone calls and haggling (which is ridiculous considering they lost my items) I was given a credit for laundry. Each time i came back after that to use the credit i was met with rudeness and distain. I am disgusted and have taken my business elsewhere as welll as informed my friends and neighbors to move on. Ive been going to Fei's for a solid 6 months or so and their service is exceptional Monday through Saturday. They come pick anything up without hesitation and can even turn it around on the same day. I guess my only beef with Fei's (hence the 2 stars) is the incompetent fruitcake they have working on Sunday. He doesn't pick up, he doesn't drop off, wont pick up the phone (which rings non-stop all goddamn sunday, not that anybody notices) and won't even switch my shit over to the dryer for a generous tip as a consolation. Its equal parts baffling and frustrating. My only thought is that maybe he's a family member, maybe he lives with his mom, hell, maybe even some kind of commune, but the way he conducts himself on the job I can only imagine that paying for his lifestyle and living situation is not much of a priority. His life is set up enough where an extra $20-40 doesn't get him off, not onl does it showcase a lack of effort, but it makes you think "what the fuck are you doing here?" His excuses are always fucking stupid. "Dude, I have 4 loads of laundry and a lot of shit to do. If I put it in the washing machine, get it started, give you, money for the dryers ,dryer sheets and $20-25 for you, can you switch it to the dryer and I'll come back and fold it? Is that cool?". And its always some shit like "Oh sorry, there is camera. Sorry we have camera." What the fuck is that? God-forbid anybody see your stupid ass doing your goddamn job. Basically anybody else there would be happy to pick my laundry up, wash it, dry it, fold it and bring it back to me, and your goofy ass wont throw me a bone on any one of your services every other fuckin employee there would provide me every other day of the week? Go fuck yourself bro. If they replaced their Sunday guy with a quarter machine, even just an automated message I think they would be much better off and I would be a lot more open to giving them my business all 7 days a week rather than having to take my shit elsewhere every Sunday, which I now do. I have been going to this place for a while now and have had no problems (even on Sunday's) until today (which happens to be a Sunday. They say the last wash is 6:00pm and granted I got there at 5:55 but the guy sitting there said no more and to come back tomorrow to drop off. I asked if I could leave it for tomorrow and he said no and that I have to come back. I don't understand why I couldn't leave it, but I guess it's too much work to get off your ass and actually do work. The place is open until 7:30 so I don't get it. The place is spacious and the machines are new. If im busy they pick up and deliver my laundry for free on the same day at $1 per pound which is cheaper compared to others at $1.25 read more
