I've been looking for a reliable dry cleaner. A friend referred me to Chenille and I'm so glad she did! Everything they've done has been perfect. I've had a few things sewn and much of my winter items dry cleaned and all has turned out great. I highly recommend them too! read more

These guys are really good. Friendly fast and efficient service. The guy behind the desk has an amazing knack for names and always remembers you. They pick up and drop off which is huge. We've been using them heavily for laundry lately because the washers and dryers in our apt building are out of service. Everything comes back clean and folded nicely. I've had them clean a larger fur coat too which got vomit on it. They did a fantastic job. Would recommend without reservation. read more

They are so great! They always take great care of my clothes and remember me each time!

The first cleaners that I've used that i've had a great experience every time. If you are in the area they do free pick up and drop off which is very convenient! They have a very quick turn around time read more

New management is horrible. In January they send me someone else's shirt. Who knows how many of our shirts they send to someone else and I don't know since I am not writing it down when I send them out! Last time they send me my husbands shirt which they decided by them self to alter/restittch the top bottom of the shirt. I noticed since the job was poorly made and they cut his shirt while doing so. Again I didn't ask for any of this?! Then I complained, marked with masking tape what's wrong with the shirt and send it back. Today I got it whit new button which is white(original was pink with check) and a note shirt was damaged while cleaning. No I am sorry how can we make it up. No call from manager nothing. Obviously I am pissed and don't trust them anymore read more

In the UES, this is the team I trust. I have been a customer for three years, so this is long overdue, but the team is excellent and delivers a high quality product. If we are realistic we can all admit that sometimes there will be issues in the cleaning / tailoring arena. Good teams are those that quickly remedy these issues and put customers first. New Chenille is one of those teams. Good hours, good value and good people. read more

Good fast service as far as I can tell quality on pressed and dry cleaned button downs are of good quality and manager /owner is highly responsive and polite over the phone ! read more

I think they did a good job on the dress. But the plastic clips used to hold the bra in place damaged the straps and the bra smells super chemically. The staff was nice though. But my bra straps T_T wahhhh read more

Jake is simply the best. I've gone to Chenille for going on 6 years and it never ceases to be the best dry cleaning spot in the city. They deliver, they're always smiling and my clothes consistently come back in pristine condition. The alterations are also top notch, as well. I suggest them to anyone living in the neighborhood. Thanks, Jake! read more

They do great work on cleaning as well as repairs and alterations. The staff is extremely friendly and they pick up and deliverer as well. What's more their prices are reasonable. I've tried lots of cleaners in the neighborhood and other's pricing was off the wall with nothing to justify it. read more

In NYC for a big media blitz this week and Ron (White) and I really needed some dry cleaning and tailoring. Love, Love, Love the guys at Chenille Cleaners. They turned it around fast and were so friendly too. We definitely recommend this Dry Cleaner. read more

2 if my 5 items for dry cleaning appeared as if not cleaned at all. Perhaps simply steamed. I had redone elsewhere and dirt came right out. So I was unhappy with lack of cleaning & High price for poor cleaning svs. They did deliver & did not lose any items. read more

Wow now I could definitely buy expensive clothes and not worry about damaging it :) because chenille cleaners know what they doing Highly recommend Thank u guys read more

I had a pair of brand new jeans that I took there for hem an waist alterations. I asked them to use the original hem and take in the waist in the back. The waist was fine although it wasn't the best quality. The hems turned out awful; I steamed them multiple times but they looked awkward and wouldn't stay in place. I took it back and asked Jake to fix it. He said they would figure out how to fix it. I emphasized to make sure it's not short. Sure enough, I got my jeans back and they are too short and they threw the pieces of hem out, so I can't do anything about it now. $200 pair of jeans wasted and they're now out of stock. Terrible job and poor quality. read more

I've only done one wedding for myself and have bought one and only wedding gown in my life (luckily) - choosing the gown is important but preserving after wearing is VERY important unless you have rented it or planning to never revisit the moment with the dress. The owner is very professional, kind, caring, and skillful + amazing customer service with local free pick up and drop off with easy payment especially time like this / COVID19. I was amazed when such a box has arrived after the service and guess what, oh my god I have never seen such a box that makes like my dress was preserved for the gowns of museum that I didn't even want to unbox at all. I was amazed at the service and the affordability of such service in the city. I recommend to every bride through every borough and I hope you all preserve your time of lovely memories + unforgettable moments you have worn the dress forever in a box. read more

I have been using this cleaner for a few months and I have noticed that my white T-shirts are turning yellow. I have also noticed that stains on my shirts are not removed in the cleaning process. For example, one day a Cheese steak hoagie left a grease spot on my shirt, and when I got the shirt back from the cleaners, the grease spot was still there and is probably now a permanent stain. When I use a cotton utility cloth to clean up a spill at home the cloth gets dirty, so I put it in with my wash and fold. When I get it back, the dirty spots have been baked into the cloth from the dryer instead of cleaned. I would really like them to address these issues or else I'm going to have to find another cleaner. They are friendly and nice, but the point is also to get the clothes clean, and I feel they are missing the mark on that point. read more

The place for my weekly laundry. Reliable, clean, and price is ok. They forgot, once, to send my stuff back to store when I tried to pick up at the time we scheduled, the owner gave me a very sincere apology over the phone and never made mistakes since then. That's professional! read more

Very happy with the service. Staff was friendly and professional. Price was not bad, $25 for dry cleaning a short wool coat and a large scarf. They were careful to hang the scarf on a hanger with sticky paper tube preventing it from sliding down. They also stuff paper in the coat's sleeves to support the shape. I hope they can explain the organic process more clearly (is it liquid CO2?). But in any case this will likely become my go-to cleaner in the neighborhood. Will use them for altering based on the other good reviews next time. read more

These guys are awesome. Great service and when stuff goes wrong they apologize and work to fix it. Never had a laundry service this good-- it is quite impressive. I can't recall ever losing an item and they usually follow instructions quite closely. The service is fast and we usually get the laundry back 24-48 hours after pickup from our door. The folding is quite nice and the items don't wrinkle too much after being packed. We love and trust the service enough to give them a key to our building-- this made it very convenient for both of us. Thank you for the great service Chenille. read more

the main guy there recognized me by name the second time i went there - so personable and good service and gets it done when i need it by. well priced too read more

Not very fast when needed, but usually clean and responsive. One dry cleaning item can with a mustard stain, which was odd since I don't eat mustard, but oh well ;) read more

Great service and good prices (for the area). They did a great job on my dress and very quick turn around- took them 1 week to hem a gown.

I've always shyed away from cleaners because of the chemical smell left on the clothes that I smelled on other people . I found jake the owners organic cleaner in google . I texted him on yelp and told him I had a problem with a mold smell in my clothing . He said to bring my clothes in or he would pick them up . I brought them in the first time he was the nicest guy he gave me half off the first time and my clothing were delivered with no smell on them at all .one of my tour jackets came back and after a few days started to smell a bit musty and he told me bring it back and he cleaned it for no charge and so far good. All my other clothing came out great . I Highly recommend him. He does pick up and deliver but he such a nice guy go in and say hi. read more

If you are looking for the best dry-cleaners in the hood, this is the place. These folks were able to take care of stained clothing returned from other dry-cleaners as clean. They offered to fix wear and tear where needed. David is super helpful and will ensure that your clothes will come back in a tip top shape. These people take pride in their work and it shows! First-time customers receive 30% off. read more

Updated review: amazing customer service and impeccable quality! The owner and person at the counter resolved a misunderstanding about a voucher very efficiently and professionally. I will definitely be back for all my dry cleaning and shirt laundry. ------- I went to them because of the great yelp deal that is still offered (65 for 100$) and collected all my silk dresses and blouses as well as ~10 cotton shirts and dropped them off this weekend. However, when I was there they said I could not purchase and use the yelp deal since it is expired and they couldn't honor it...but this is actually not true, I can still buy it - even now. I got instead only a 20% discount on the dry cleaning. Not.happy.at.all. That said, the man in the shop was very friendly. Will update the review when I can say something about the quality of the dry cleaning. read more

I won't go anywhere else for my dry cleaning and wash and fold. Aside from the fantastic service (all work is always completed quickly and in wonderful condition), everyone is incredibly helpful and friendly. You can have anything picked up / delivered, but I genuinely like going to pick up and drop off here! Highly recommend it. read more

This location is run by the sort of entrepreneurs who take great pride in their work. I had an urgent need which they accommodated with aplomb and without hesitation. Bravo! read more

Impressive. They dry cleaned and altered vintage pieces left to my by an aunt who recently died. I was so nervous because the clothes are delicate and have enormous sentimental value. But Chenille really did an outstanding job at a very fair price. I will be back with my cashmere next. read more

By far the best dry cleaners and tailoring on the UES. The sales girl from BCBG recommended them because they use Chenille for all of their needs. David and Michael are professional, friendly, and welcoming. The tailor, Jason, is extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. He truly understands the nature and construction of a variety of garments, and offers suggestions if you are confused on how you should tailor a dress, pants, etc. Their prices are great too! I highly recommend Chenille if you're looking for great service and amazing results for dry cleaning, laundry, and tailoring. read more

Since moving to the UES, I've been searching for a laundry service that's affordable and professional and I've found that with Chenille. I made a pickup and delivery appointment on their website and they were right on time picking up and delivering! They were very professional, the owner David promptly responded to my message about a quote and even called me the next day to try and accommodate me for same-day service. I hang-dry majority of my clothes, especially premium denim, and most laundry services charge extra per hang-dry item and limit you to a certain number of pieces, but Chenille treats hang-dry as a separate load and simplifies the process. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a reliable cleaners on the UES. I will definitely be using them for all of my laundry services from now on! read more

I've had a really good experience with Chenille cleaners. They are professional , prompt and provide excellent quality of service. I found them because I was desperate to get a suit dry cleaned for same day. Not only did they dry clean it in a few hours, they also delivered it to me at the - all in the same price as regular cleaning . Very dependable and have a great attitude! Anu read more

I agree with the previous reviewers in that my shirts come back looking like new. The wash-n-fold has great attention to to detail, and I like the option of organic detergent. Chenille says they do laundry and wash-n-fold in their own facility, so I think it means higher quality and less of a risk of lost items. I am okay with paying a premium over the cheaper cleaners for peace of mind and great results that make me feel good in what I wear each day. read more

After living here for 8 years, this is the best cleaners on the upper east side by far. The service is amazing and consistent week in and week out. David is extremely professional and dedicated to making sure all his clients needs are met. Chenille is extremely clean and I trust all my clothes are in great hands. I cannot say enough about the service, David and all his employees! read more

I used them for the first time a few weeks ago, and they did an excellent job with my dry cleaning. Today I called for wash & fold, and they picked up immediately for same day service.
