These guys are really good. Friendly fast and efficient service. The guy behind the desk has an amazing knack for names and always remembers you. They pick up and drop off which is huge. We've been using them heavily for laundry lately because the washers and dryers in our apt building are out of service. Everything comes back clean and folded nicely. I've had them clean a larger fur coat too which got vomit on it. They did a fantastic job. Would recommend without reservation. read more

New management is horrible. In January they send me someone else's shirt. Who knows how many of our shirts they send to someone else and I don't know since I am not writing it down when I send them out! Last time they send me my husbands shirt which they decided by them self to alter/restittch the top bottom of the shirt. I noticed since the job was poorly made and they cut his shirt while doing so. Again I didn't ask for any of this?! Then I complained, marked with masking tape what's wrong with the shirt and send it back. Today I got it whit new button which is white(original was pink with check) and a note shirt was damaged while cleaning. No I am sorry how can we make it up. No call from manager nothing. In the UES, this is the team I trust. I have been a customer for three years, so this is long overdue, but the team is excellent and delivers a high quality product. I had a pair of brand new jeans that I took there for hem an waist alterations. I asked them to use the original hem and take in the waist in the back. The waist was fine although it wasn't the best quality. The hems turned out awful; I steamed them multiple times but they looked awkward and wouldn't stay in place. I took it back and asked Jake to fix it. He said they would figure out how to fix it. I emphasized to make sure it's not short. Sure enough, I got my jeans back and they are too short and they threw the pieces of hem out, so I can't do anything about it now. $200 pair of jeans wasted and they're now out of stock. I've only done one wedding for myself and have bought one and only wedding gown in my life (luckily) - choosing the gown is important but preserving after wearing is VERY important unless you have rented it or planning to never revisit the moment with the dress. The owner is very professional, kind, caring, and skillful + amazing customer service with local free pick up and drop off with easy payment especially time like this / COVID19. I was amazed when such a box has arrived after the service and guess what, oh my god I have never seen such a box that makes like my dress was preserved for the gowns of museum that I didn't even want to unbox at all. I was amazed at the service and the affordability of such service in the city. I have been using this cleaner for a few months and I have noticed that my white T-shirts are turning yellow. I have also noticed that stains on my shirts are not removed in the cleaning process. For example, one day a Cheese steak hoagie left a grease spot on my shirt, and when I got the shirt back from the cleaners, the grease spot was still there and is probably now a permanent stain. When I use a cotton utility cloth to clean up a spill at home the cloth gets dirty, so I put it in with my wash and fold. When I get it back, the dirty spots have been baked into the cloth from the dryer instead of cleaned. I would really like them to address these issues or else I'm going to have to find another cleaner. They are friendly and nice, but the point is also to get the clothes clean, and I feel they are missing the mark on that point. read more

Very happy with the service. Staff was friendly and professional. Price was not bad, $25 for dry cleaning a short wool coat and a large scarf. They were careful to hang the scarf on a hanger with sticky paper tube preventing it from sliding down. They also stuff paper in the coat's sleeves to support the shape. I hope they can explain the organic process more clearly (is it liquid CO2?). But in any case this will likely become my go-to cleaner in the neighborhood. Will use them for altering based on the other good reviews next time. read more

These guys are awesome. Great service and when stuff goes wrong they apologize and work to fix it. Never had a laundry service this good-- it is quite impressive. I can't recall ever losing an item and they usually follow instructions quite closely. The service is fast and we usually get the laundry back 24-48 hours after pickup from our door. The folding is quite nice and the items don't wrinkle too much after being packed. I've always shyed away from cleaners because of the chemical smell left on the clothes that I smelled on other people . I found jake the owners organic cleaner in google . I texted him on yelp and told him I had a problem with a mold smell in my clothing . He said to bring my clothes in or he would pick them up . I brought them in the first time he was the nicest guy he gave me half off the first time and my clothing were delivered with no smell on them at all .one of my tour jackets came back and after a few days started to smell a bit musty and he told me bring it back and he cleaned it for no charge and so far good. All my other clothing came out great . I Highly recommend him. He does pick up and deliver but he such a nice guy go in and say hi. read more

Updated review: amazing customer service and impeccable quality! The owner and person at the counter resolved a misunderstanding about a voucher very efficiently and professionally. I will definitely be back for all my dry cleaning and shirt laundry. ------- I went to them because of the great yelp deal that is still offered (65 for 100$) and collected all my silk dresses and blouses as well as ~10 cotton shirts and dropped them off this weekend. However, when I was there they said I could not purchase and use the yelp deal since it is expired and they couldn't honor it...but this is actually not true, I can still buy it - even now. I got instead only a 20% discount on the dry cleaning. Not.happy.at.all. That said, the man in the shop was very friendly. David and Michael are professional, friendly, and welcoming. The tailor, Jason, is extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. Since moving to the UES, I've been searching for a laundry service that's affordable and professional and I've found that with Chenille. I made a pickup and delivery appointment on their website and they were right on time picking up and delivering! They were very professional, the owner David promptly responded to my message about a quote and even called me the next day to try and accommodate me for same-day service. I hang-dry majority of my clothes, especially premium denim, and most laundry services charge extra per hang-dry item and limit you to a certain number of pieces, but Chenille treats hang-dry as a separate load and simplifies the process. I agree with the previous reviewers in that my shirts come back looking like new. The wash-n-fold has great attention to to detail, and I like the option of organic detergent. Chenille says they do laundry and wash-n-fold in their own facility, so I think it means higher quality and less of a risk of lost items.
