First time I brought a fur jacket here that took only 4 weeks to clean with little communication. That was fun. Had my laundry bag (it was a Marshall's one) thrown away cause it's not a laundry bag according to her. Finally learned my lesson when I took my chef jackets here from work. Her husband creased them in a way that he thought looked nice? (PS they looked like shit) Also was missing a scarf (which later turned out to be in my husband bag.) For the first time I didn't scream at someone screaming at me. I talked to them about both of these issues in a calm manner and they screamed me out of the store cause I was wrong. A lot of other laundry places to go than this one.

They also keep things simple which I appreciate, because I've had experiences in the past with other cleaners who over complicate things. 1 Star - Avoid at All Costs: Irresponsible, Negligent, and Damaging…read more I recently moved into the neighborhood and decided to try Glamour Cleaners based on a recommendation from my doorman. I dropped off several button-up shirts for a simple wash and press. What I got back was a complete disaster. First issue: 3 out of the 5 shirts were returned with identical stains in the same spot - as if something was stuck in their press or machine. Annoying, but mistakes happen, so I brought everything back to be re-cleaned. Second (and far worse) issue: When the shirts came back the second time, the stains were mostly gone, but one of my fine custom white dress shirts - a shirt I wear only for more formal events - was destroyed. The collar had been ripped open from the inside because someone at their off-site facility inserted metal collar stays that were too long for the shirt. When the collar was pressed down in the packaging, the stays punctured straight through the fabric. This shirt is not easily replaceable, and it is absolutely not one I would treat with such neglect. The final straw: When I called and spoke with the manager, "Jay", he refused to take any responsibility. He insisted they "don't use collar stays," blamed the damage on me (the stays are definitely NOT mine), and dismissed the fact that they outsource all cleaning - meaning there is zero quality control to begin with. I asked for a reasonable compromise to replace the shirt (not even at full value), and he flat-out refused. Instead, he told me that if I didn't like his answer, I could take him to small claims court - and that the most I'd get back is five times the cleaning cost. In other words: "Your custom shirt is ruined, here's twenty bucks." Glamour Cleaners took no responsibility for staining my shirts, neglected my property, and refused to make it right. This place is negligent, unprofessional, and unapologetic. Save yourself the frustration and steer clear. There are plenty of dry cleaners in a two-block radius of this place - you don't need to risk your wardrobe here. (Attaching a photo of the damage for anyone curious.)

THINK TWICE BEFORE DRY CLEANING HERE…read more I rarely write negative reviews, but I feel it's important to share this experience. I took this dress to Todd Layne Cleaners on E. 77th Street for the first time. This dress had been professionally dry cleaned several times in the past with no problems. When I picked it up, the color had been dramatically faded and the dress was clearly damaged. After I contacted the cleaner, it took Todd Layne two days to respond. His only explanation was that there must have been an issue with the dress manufacturer and that I should contact them directly. There was no acknowledgment of responsibility, no apology, and no attempt to resolve the situation. I'm posting before-and-after photos so you can see the difference for yourself. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Todd Layne Cleaners. If you have garments that are valuable or sentimental, you may want to think carefully before entrusting them to this cleaner.

But have never ever had problems with other dry cleaners. EVER. The first time I used Todd Layne was to dry clean the most expensive dress I ever owned. It was 20 years old and I loved its classy black dress look. Took it home, put it in the closet and because I didn't wear it often never looked at it. A year later, took it out for a wedding, packed it still in their plastic bag. Got to the wedding and it wasn't my dress. It was a cheap black dress, not even my size but because it had been so long I felt I couldn't complain. Figured it was a one time issue. WRONG! In 2022 brought in a beautiful, pricey Saks Fifth Avenue blouse (about 10 years old) and a new white shirt. They lost both though insisted they delivered them. There was no record at my very efficient building's concierge. I even checked neighboring buildings. Nothing. I submitted a form for some kind of compensation. As an aside they NEVER apologized. Two years later, though lots of promises to send the check they NEVER delivered the check just like they never delivered my clothes. So if you value your items, and want them returned, go elsewhere.
