This is the dry cleaner we use regularly. Many times the dry cleaning is fine with no issues. However I just noticed today this is the second shirt that has come back with some form of hole or tear. A few weeks ago a shirt came back completely torn apart as if it had been put in a shredder, and just now a new hole has appeared in the under arm of another shirt. Both of these issues were non existent at drop off. Very concerned at this point to continue bringing anything of value to this location. read more

DON'T EVER GO HERE. This cleaner is the worst. They are overpriced, rude, inconsistent in timing/quality and do not reward loyalty for their customers. My girlfriend and I came to this dry cleaners because it was close to our apartment. We came here for just about 2 years and spent a ton of money there. Only once in two years did they sent a coupon for us to use. When we finally tried to use it, June (the manager) would not accept it. He said it expired even though there was no expiration date on the coupon. He continued toto refuse to accept the coupon and out of sheer frustration did I just pay the full amount and leave. I dropped off a white floor length dress that was filthy on the bottom. It had about 4 inches of black dirt from the bottom of the dress. They worked so hard (for two months) to get out the stain and successfully did! Incredibly reasonable price point and great customer service! This is the closest cleaners to my apartment and I thought I would give them a try since they were so conveniently located. I gave them 4 tries. Each time our laundry would come back smelling so terrible. The delicate sweaters I sent came back a size smaller and their customer service leaves much to be desired. Not to mention that they are more expensive then the average cleaners. I found a much better place just a few blocks down called Bright Cleaners. Disappointed on my first service. I got my dress shirt and pants dry cleaned here. I had it dry cleaned for a important business meeting. On my way to the meeting I realized my pants had a hole in two places and my top had a faded holes. Both top and bottom was purchased 2 weeks and was worn once. My friend also had the same issue. It seems like they dropped some kind of chemical on the clothing which made the hole. I was mortified to find out that there is a whole on my clothes on my way to the meeting. I had to call and postpone the meeting to purchase a new outfit for quick recovery. I will not return to this place or recommend to anyone. read more

Fantastic place! There are new owners which have really given this place new life. I bring all my toughest stains here and they've gotten them all out. I also use their tailor who is great- she fixed a giant rip in my jeans as well as taken in a few pairs of pants. Unfortunately, I didn't have a good experience at this Symphony Cleaners. After getting my dress shirts cleaned there a few times, one day two of my shirts came back with tears on the left sleeve by the elbow, in the same spot. I demanded a refund but they said that they'd try to fix it, even though the shirts were hopeless destroyed. They came back awful with the elbos sewed. I demanded that they pay for the shirts, at least partially, but they said the shirts were old and thus already worn out. jerks. They didn't even off to refund the cost of having the shirts cleaned. I brought 3 jackets/coats to be dry cleaned; one had coffee stains all over, another one had powdery film that could not be removed from a local dry cleaner and the third just needed to be cleaned. I am to report the stains are gone, the coats are cleaned with no powder film on coat. I had teared a button from coat, they noticed it and fix it as well. Happy with the service. read more

This cleaner couldn't care less about its customers. I had been bringing both my laundry and my dry cleaning there for about 4 years. They did a decent job, but customer service was always somewhat lacking. Back in June, they lost a half load of my laundry, including two expensive pairs of jeans. You would expect them to value a customer they've had for years and offer to replace the lost items. While they admit to losing the laundry, they have yet to offer any restitution for their errors. I know for a fact this has happened to several other customers who live in my building. I'm guessing there's plenty more around the neighborhood. I would highly reccomend avoiding this cleaner, as there are many better options in the area. read more

This is LITERALLY one of the worst places that I have ever used. I only started using it because it is underneath my boyfriend's building. In my first experience, they lost a scarf that was personally important. They cleaned it once but it had the same coffee stains on it and took it back for a re-do. When I came back to get it from the re-do the Manager claimed that I already picked it up. I knew i did not and search for it EVERYWHERE and didn't find it because the cleaner had it. I came back and explained that I didn't have it and love it and actually already bought a new one. The Manager accused me of lying to him. He is literally one of the most DESPICABLE customer service people with the most unpleasant disposition. How could you accuse me of lying about losing my own scarf that I actually already bought a replacement for? I asked him to get a 50$ check for it because that's what it was worth. He said he would speak to his manager and call me back. NEVER called me back until I had to go into the store. When I got there he told me that either a $50 credit toward more services at the place or a $30 check. Fair, right?! So I actually did give him more things because of the convenience and because I had that credit. Came back to pick it up. Find out that two items with rhinestones haven't even been cleaned because the "rhinestones will melt." I have had both items cleaned a bunch of other times elsewhere. And when I asked the Manager to pick up on batch and the other, he misunderstood and said "We don't operate like that" in the rudest, most revolting voice you can possibly hear at 7 am, when I usually go in. I have never written a review of any establishment online before but felt compelled to warn the public about the horrible experience that I had getting my laundry done here. I called on a Saturday morning and was informed that they could definitely do same day service. It took them several hours to come pick up my laundry and when they came I was told that they could no longer deliver the same day. I conceded to them bringing my laundry back Monday night. They did not come or call on Monday. Finally I called them on Tuesday night and they yelled at me on the phone, telling me that it was my fault that they had not dropped off the laundry and that it was my responsibility to call them to arrange a drop-off. I was told that they would contact me on Monday. When they finally dropped off my laundry I was SHOCKED at how expensive it was. I gave them 4 shirts that were wash only and not to be put in the dryer. They apparently have a policy (which I was never informed of) that you are charged a minimum of $8 per load. They had counted my 4 shirts at an entirely separate load and charged me $8 for them. Additionally, my laundry smelled musky and I suspect that they tied it up in a plastic bag without properly drying it first. They were extremely rude on the phone every time I spoke to them. There are a million laundry services in this neighborhood. NO NOT USE THIS LAUNDRY SERVICE. You will regret your decision immensely. read more

I had a really bad experience with this taylor/laundromat. Enough that I felt compelled to leave a comment, which is something I never do. To begin with, they were going to charge me $110.00 to do two simple hems and strap adjustments on two VERY simple maxi dresses. I dropped them off, went into work and decided against it and wanted to pick my dresses up. I called within 20 minutes of dropping my stuff off and was told that I couldn't cancel my order and pick my stuff up because he had already started working on my dresses, because "he is very fast". Meanwhile, the two dresses weren't to be ready to pick up until a week later. Suspicious in itself. When I did pick them up, the workmanship was really subpar and them hem was uneven. The one dress is basically unwearable. With a taylor on every corner in Manhattan, I'd urge you to find another. Reasons being: they are dishonest and provide subpar service.....and above all else, the prices are ridiculous, even for the UES! read more
