I have been using freshspin for the last two and half years. Prior to the change in management, I loved being serviced by them. Once the change in management happened, the customer service has gone down. Though it is a low cost option, it doesn't need to treat its customers in the way they do. When there is issues with the laundry or payment, the store refuses to call they have the driver call with half the information. If you are bold enough to take the customers' money, you should be equally as bold to call the customer if their an issue. This is not how you do business. Especially one who has stood by the business through their transition. The worse if it is the person they have answering the phones doesn't even know how to explain the situation either. They don't do payments and it is someone else who does it. Its very frustrating when the service you are paying your money to complete a task doesn't know how to communicate to their clients. I've been loyal to this company for years, but their service has really declined over the past 6 months. They provide a 1.5-hour window for pickup and delivery but are consistently 2 to 3 hours late, making it impossible to plan around, especially if you need to go to work. They often call 10 minutes before arriving telling you they are at your door--if they have the correct address at all--which means you have to wait outside. Even if you're forced to take a work-from-home day because of their delays, the first few hours are still highly disruptive. On top of that, they have lost my laundry before and now rarely answer calls or texts. I used to love the convenience of this service, but unfortunately, I won't be using them again. FreshSpin did my laundry for 2 years. I always had my laundry done "unscented" as I'm allergic to scented detergents. They got it wrong once a few months ago, and I had to redo it myself as I was going on vacation. Then they got it wrong AGAIN this week, delivering my laundry with a cheap flowery-scent. I both called and texted them asking them to redo it, and they COMPLETELY GHOSTED ME. I've literally spent thousands with them, and one request to get my laundry right, and they were done with me. Awful service--they delivered half of my clean laundry order and half of someone else's clean laundry order. When I called to ask for the clean laundry I paid for, I got a lot of excuses from "Verra" on the phone, but no action including no offer of a refund or effort to pay for my lost/stolen clothes. I am currently on a travel assignment in NYC, during a pandemic, going out to make contact with people isn't really idea. We walked down to a close laundry facility and there was so many people inside. I found this on Yelp and thought I'd give it a shot. It was less than $32 for over 33lbs of clothes. They picked up about 930p and dropped back off by 0730am. The guy was friendly. No complaints. Great turn around time, little contact, and clean laundry that they washed, dried, and folded, then stacked and bagged up and delivered to my door! read more

I almost don't want to write a review because the secret will be out ! This service is amazing ! They are so kind, professional, reasonably priced and I love their service. I am a busy nurse who lives on a 4th floor walk up. Taking laundry up and down waiting hours to do it at a crowded laundry mat is the worse for me !! They come right to my door and the clothes always come back fresh, clean and nicely packed. THEY FOUND 20 dollars in my clothing and just packed it nicely on top! I was blown away at the integrity and care. That's what made me write the review! I have used them about 4x. Only one small negative event when I did find a few T-shirts that were not mine ugh BUT management contacted me, apologized & said that it happened during folding. They even said they ran the camera and would speak to staff to ensure it never happened again. I believe it is a new service and despite that I will continue to use them because of all the other great things. I recommend them highly. read more

What do you do when they suddenly close ALL of the laundromats in your neighborhood becuase of COVID19? And you have two pungent teenagers? You take a chance on FreshSpin! I found them during a panicked Google search after seeing a "sorry, we're closed" note on our closed laundromat in Chelsea. There were no reviews here (?) but I liked the FreshSpin website and clean, well-designed app, so I decided to go for it. You pick your pickup/dropoff times, specify water temperature, type of laundry detergent, adding oxyclean and fabric softener. If I were pickier about my laundry, I could have added paragraphs of instructions and pictures of specific stains, etc. I called them because I'd accidentally selected a 6AM drop off (had meant 6PM) and got an answering machine. But they called me back and helped me fix that. Our driver Kenny called to let us know he was nearly there and was so friendly and nice! And now I am thrilled to report that we have a two bags of clean, folded, great-smelling laundry while I watched endless Netflix on my couch. We're not made of money here, and have never sent our clothes away to be cleaned, but will seriously consider firing my usual laundress (me) when this is all over in favor of this ESSENTIAL service. When figuring how much machines cost in my (closed) local laundromat, this was a real bargain! And, I'm also glad to support (and TIP!) all those hard-working essential service folk. I have been using FreshSpin for the last few months since three other services in New York have destroyed my laundry. I have had nothing but horrible experiences with other companies. Fresh spin has been a breath of fresh air. They have literally done the best job every single time without fail. They are on time and if they are running behind even five minutes I get a text message. I have been at fault myself sleeping through them picking up my laundry and the delivery person would actually call me and come back later and not even charge me for it when they could have. They are the cheapest I have found and they do A better job than any other company I've used in New York. I hope they stay as premium as they are and their rates as low as they are and I will use them forever. I have recently referred other friends who have loved them as well. Single mom life. Laundry was getting out of control and I just couldn't find the time to do it with my busy schedule and active 2 year old. I saw someone in the neighborhood getting their laundry delivered and I thought "now there's some I wouldn't mind spending a few extra dollars on!". I called and was told the easiest way to place an order was through the FreshSpin app, so I downloaded it and placed an order within 5 mins. 10 mins later, I got a notification that a driver was assigned for my pickup. I was surprised that this thing wasn't a gimmick because it was flowing so smoothly. Driver arrived and picked up 4 huge bags of laundry directly from my doorstep. I was notified of price when my laundry arrived and was weighted and it was way less than I had guesstimated, so I was pleased!
