Excellent tailor - I've brought vintage Escada, St John, delicate silk garments, silk wool blends, and other vintage finds, and they have tailored all my items to perfection. My clothes fit like a glove. The dry cleaning service is super good too. read more

Amazing service and level of detail. I came here to get dry clean on a few pieces and they did a great job

Nice wash and fold. I didn't have any clothes that are delicate or have special wash instructions, so I was pretty satisfied with my wash and fold experience here. They offer pick up and delivery, but they also let me come into the store and pick up as well. The website seems outdated, their current pricing for wash/fold is minimum 6lb @ $8.75, $1.25/lb additional. It's reasonable pricing for the area. The ladies working there are very responsive on the phone and are easy to talk to in case you have any questions. read more

One of my favorite businesses to ever be a client of - the staff is excellent and always willing to go the extra mile for their clients. I used their services weekly, if not daily, for years and had zero issues. Truly will only miss this establishment as I move to another area of NYC. Cannot speak highly enough of the staff, prices, and experience. Well done and thank you! read more

This is a good cleaner in the area. The owner is very nice and greets me each time. ATMOSPHERE/ARCHITECTURE: 8/10 It's nice and modern looking and always smells fresh, as expected of the cleaners. SERVICE : 8/10 They have rush service and can get things done as quickly as the day of if you stop by in the morning. Everything comes back nice, clean and folded. I had no problems at all. I think they are a bit pricier than other cleaners, but if they are close by, definitely worth it. They do a good job. PROBABILITY OF RETURN: 8/10 Probably my favorite cleaners in the area. OVERALL: 8/10 read more

Was recommended to their service by someone I follow on IG and couldn't be happier to support a small business that puts so much care into their work. Got three pair of pants tailored - hemmed and tapered and I'm happy to go out of my way from Queens! read more

I came here for a wash and fold service for my couch covers (large spill stains) , the ladies who work there are really sweet and they charged me $10 when i was expecting a lot more! not only were they friendly but the couch looks better than ever, I wasn't sure if it would come out in the first place, but hey, they got the job done. Highly recommend this business! I bought a dress online that ended up being too big. I was too lazy to return it so I decided to come here to get the dress taken in a bit. She fixed it for me in 3 hours for an affordable price. Yay now I can keep buying things online w/o worrying too much abt the fit. I will probably be back very soon read more

Tan runs a very reliable business. First of all, she is an expert seamstress with a long history of providing alteration and dress-making services to dress designers in the Garment District. In addition, she provides consistently good dry cleaning and laundry services with delivery to your apartment. She is a professional who runs her own business -- we need her services in the neighborhood! I'm happy to support her and encourage you to check out New 202 Cleaners . read more

202 Cleaner - Sewing & Alterations Near Me - New York, New York

We've been going to New 202 to get our suits and dresses dry cleaned and they are amazing. Great service, really quick turnaround and amazingly reasonable prices for NYC. My husbands suit was dry cleaned in 2 days for $13. We'll continue to go back here as our neighborhood cleaner and recommend it to everyone! read more

I love this place! I've brought a couple items here for alterations and they do a great job every time, for a great price. Most recently I brought a bridesmaid dress that needed to be taken in and hemmed, and a jump suit that needed to be hemmed. Everything came back perfect, I can't even tell where they took the dress in! All of those alterations were $75 total. read more

Small, no-frills location, but don't let it throw you...the quality of her work was above average. I work in fashion and needed to have an outfit tailored for a major sales meeting, so I was not letting a single detail go unnoticed. Even though it took her very little time to fit the garment, the results were perfect. No need for a second round of tweaking! She also accommodated a shorter-than-usual turnaround time. My only problem was that I also had my outfit (a pantsuit) pressed after she finished altering it. I paid $9 and specifically asked for the crease in the pants to remain. When I got it back, the top was still wrinkled and the crease had kind of been eliminated. I had to just steam it myself. So next time, I'll take my clothing elsewhere for pressing after alterations have been completed. read more

Went in blind to have 3 pants tailored -- two were to be tapered and one had to have the ankle seam hemmed. Around $50 for the lot, took 2 days, and they were all very well done. It feels like I basically got 3 new pairs of pants for the price of one. For your everyday staples that need some adjustment, not sure that many tailors in the area can beat the quality at that price. read more

I was recommended this place by a friend and I am so impressed by the quality, service and pricing. I came in wanting a curtain altered and I was greeted, listened to and so pleased with the end result. SUCH A GREAT JOB. Thank you everyone! read more

Had tailoring for a bridesmaids dress done here, it was perfect work and the price was incredible reasonable. Great experience.

She's a one-woman shop who does alterations. I came here because Suits and Skirts on 34th and Lex did a shoddy job of my sleeve alterations, and she was here to save the day. She restitched the hems, making sure they were neat and tidy, and also steamed out the stitching holes as much as possible. $16 charge for that. read more

I wanted to love this place, but unfortunately do not. I got two dresses and a pair of pants tailored. When picking them up, I realized one of the dresses still had safety pins in it and that no work had been done on the dress. I was leaving for vacation that day and was unable to take the dress with me due to this. When I went back to pick up the dress, I asked for a discount and they were only willing to take $3 off of the price (which was not cheap). The other pieces they altered for me were not done correct either, and the other dress will have to be taken to another tailor. Perhaps their dry cleaning is better, but I do not recommend this place for alterations. read more

Excellent service, and they did a great job altering many of my pants. Great price as well. I've been goin here for at least 8 years.

Very honest with me on the job I requested: she told me that it's not possible to permanently fix the problem with my wool pants that I will likely come back to her after a while to get it fixed again. Also, her laundry service is fast and effective - been using them for 4 years and never had an issue. Highly recommend read more

I tried this place a few times for wash and press button down shirts but they were poorly pressed each time.

I almost don't want to write this review because I don't want to let anyone in on my secret, but it's the right thing to do. Amazing, amazing, amazing tailoring. I have tried about five places in the neighborhood- needing both basic work like button adding (yes, I know) and hems to major alterations on bridesmaid gowns. Each place I try I walk out feeling nervous that I was not heard, aggravated about being overcharged, and ultimately the work is rushed and mediocre. Well, my savior has Come. This seamstress has attention to detail, so cost conscious, understands how garments are made, what the customer is looking for in structure...I could go on and on. I am so thankful that she makes me feel good in my clothes!!! read more

Tan at new 202 cleaners is a 5 star alterations expert. She has a deep understanding of garment construction, and finds innovative ways to fix and rebuild clothes to my size. I bring my designer wardrobe to her for tailoring, and she seamlessly recreates the details of these high end pieces. Beyond this, she is kind, efficient and a pleasure to do business. read more

I brought in 2 stained items of clothing and told the lady at the counter that they were stained. The items were returned with the same stains and no refund. It was also pricier than $; this should definitely be listed as $$. I don't think I would come back. read more

This is the first Yelp review I've written and it is because I am blown away with the lack of professionalism at this establishment. I was a first time customer (have just moved into the neighborhood into a building without laundry in the building) and was excited to find that this was on my block. I brought in a wash and fold bag along with a pair of white canvas sneakers (Supergas) which I have machine washed multiple times just to brighten/freshen them up a bit. I flagged to the woman when I dropped my laundry off that I had included the shoes in my bag for a rinse and she said it was fine. When I went to pick up my laundry and shoes, I found that my shoes were stained pink and orange - literally looks like someone had thrown up on them. I didn't have any pink or orange clothes in my laundry so I know these stains had not come from any of my articles of clothing. I came back the next day to show the woman the stains and asked if they could bleach or at the least rinse them off because they were in way worse condition then I left them and she word for word said "I don't care." I was/am shocked. She refused to rewash them, take a second look or refund a portion of what I payed and just kept repeating "Sorry I don't care" and "I'm not going to help you." I've never experienced such preposterous and low standards of professionalism. Really disappointed because this was going to be my weekly wash and fold/dry clean place and now I am going to have to find another place to take my business. Do not go here if you value your clothing!! read more
